A good place if you want to avoid the uneven road leading to the place further up. Although the views aren't as beautiful, it's an excellent place to start walks. There's potential for a couple of level spaces.

Very nice spot for a night. It is half way to the big spot on top of the hill. We decided to take this spot because it’s a bit more quiet, more shadow, less wind and skipping the rather bad road to the top. You can walk to the top for 5 minutes and have the great view anyways. One of the better spots on the surrounding. Many locals on the mornings and evenings but all very nice.
Half way up the hill and a great place to stop for the night. We acme when the weather was really hot so the shade was appreciated. Not bothered by anyone. As always, please respect these sights and leave nothing but foot prints.
We had a nice night here and in the morning we drove up to the top and walked to the trig point . Excellent views up there.

Nice place to camp. very quiet. left here in the morning with a fellow camper only to find the only road in and out was completely blocked due to fly tippers. we cleared a path big enough for us to drive around it and using the verge. Will enclose pictures. not what I needed before going to work this morning. the joys of van life.
Good spot, stayed here one night, three other vans squeezed in but still room for other vehicles with dog walkers. Spoke with locals, they didn't mind us all staying. No facilities and poor phone signal but it's free. Excellent location for visiting Stourhead NT.
