Cracking little stopover, perfect for us just coming off the ferry at Harwich about 20 mins drive away. Really nice clear directions from the owner who was really friendly. Some folks might have been disturbed by the dogs playing on the dog park next to the park-up but our kids loved it, and the locals were really friendly. Will definitely be coming back.
Stayed here for one night after arriving at Harwich Ferry Port. Only 20 mins away. Safe and quiet. Had a peaceful evening. Very dark at night. Torch required. Easy communication with Owner who supplied instructions on how to get here which were easy to follow. Would recommend and would definitely use again as it's very convenient for the Harwich ferry.
Close to the ferry port, we used it for the return leg. No facilities but if you are self sufficient, then it’s not a problem. Close to the A120 but you really can’t hear it in the night. No light pollution either so it’s dark! Bring a torch if you arrive late. With the absence of Aires in the UK, what this person has done for the community needs our support. Recommend
Super einfache Absprache mit Jonathan, dem Besitzer. Platz ist sauber und super ruhig. Hatte eine sehr gute Nacht, sehr nah zur Fähre, perfekt zum Vor- oder Nachübernachten

Een prima harde (grint), veilige (afsluitbaar hek) en ruime camperplek (vrije plaatsen) om als eerste en/of laatste overnachting te bezoeken vanaf Harwich (20 min). De eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk en reageert snel op berichten.
What a fine spot we found here for our truck RONC. Just off the road to Harwich. Easy to access for large vehicles and such a nice contact with the owner. As we say in Holland: een aanrader!

Ein super ruhiger Platz nach einer langen Überfahrt. Wir waren im Juli für eine Nacht zu Gast auf der Durchreise nach Irland. Alles hat echt super geklappt, der Kontakt war sehr freundlich und wir haben uns willkommen gefühlt. Vielen Dank

Stayed for a night before catching morning ferry. Lovely spot, quiet night (we were the only van) with cute bunnies running around in the nearby field. If you want to use what three words to get there: weeknight.hacking.hips. Would recommend as only 20 mins from ferry so very convenient.

We stayed here both on the way to catch the Harwich ferry and on the way back. A perfect safe stopover - no facilities yet, but would definitely recommend for only £10 a night.

Heel fijne plek om als eerste en laatste overnachting te verblijven als je gebruikmaakt van de ferry. Wij hebben hiervan gebruik gemaakt na en tevens voor de overtocht Harwich-Hoek van Holland. Eenvoudig, rustig en schoon! Zeer vriendelijke behulpzame beheerder. Hij vertelde ons zijn toekomstplannen over uitbreiding van faciliteiten van de cp. Aanrader!
Dinsdag 27 Augustus deze camper plek bezocht en wat andere bezoekers van deze locatie zeggen is precies zoals het is. Johnatan is een aardige man, en de plek is perfect om te overnachten, ruime plekken, en het is er heerlijk rustig. Geen voorzieningen. Een echte aanrader.... Wim Visser
Guter Platz für einen Stop vor oder nach der Fähre. Noch keine Facility‘s, da erst im Aufbau. Ebener Schotter-Boden mit Umzäunung. Ruhig. Eingezäunte große Hundewiese nebenan. Bitte immer erst Kontakt mit Jonathan aufnehmen. Per WhatsApp bekommt man dann die Daten zum Bezahlen über Paypal. Geht alles schnell und einfach. Unter 20 Minuten zur Fähre. Ein toller, etwas abgelegener Platz. Nach der Ankunft in Harwich Port haben wir dort unsere erste Nacht verbracht. Es war etwas schwerer zu finden, aber Jonathan war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich und hat uns geholfen. Auf what’s App antwortet er umgehend. Excellent overnight stopover after coming off the Harwich ferry late evening. Very clean and quiet. Good communication with owner via Whatt’s App. £10 worth it for the security. No services but we didn’t need them. Book with Jonathan as you can’t just turn up.
Handy stopover close to A120 when travelling to or from Harwich. Quiet, secluded location with views of open countryside and a historic WW2 radar mast nearby. Enjoyed our night here and will use again.
Ik stond er afgelopen week voor een nacht nadat ik s avonds met de ferry in Harwich aangekomen was. Jonathan is superaardig. Instructies hoe je er komt krijg je via WhatsApp en zijn duidelijk. Ook belde hij nog of alles naar wens was. Ik stond alleen op de omheinde plaats en voelde mij veilig. Absolute aanrader.
Bei Jonathan steht man sehr gut und nahe dem Hafen. Guter Platz, kommen gern wieder.

Really useful park up for the night, less than 20 mins from the port. Arrangements and directions very easy and clear. It’s a quiet, peaceful spot before, or after a busy drive north for us. The access road is single track with few passing places, with occasional trucks/tractors also using it. £10 very reasonable, even better if water was available!
A great find also on Search for sites £10 per night in a gated compound with room for about 5 vans , surrounded by nature nice and quiet no road noise . Host Jonathan very knowledgeable about all things caravan/motorhomes . Would definitely come back
Zeer rustige plaats in het groen. Vooraf eigenaar contacteren. We waren hier alleen. Zeker aan te bevelen. Geen beperking in hoogte of normale lengte van camper. Ideaal voor of na ferry. Geen services.

Great for a stop over and quiet sleep before or after a ferry. The parking is £10 and has no services. This was acceptable for us as we did not want to sleep in ferry terminal with noise and lights. We recommend this spot.

We found this was a pleasant safe place to stop overnight after arriving off the ferry at 8.30pm. Easy to book with Jonathan, communication is via WhatsApp, payment £10 via paypal. Not difficult to find, only drawback is that you have to go past the junction on the other side of the dual carriageway, round a roundabout and back on yourselves. We would certainly stop here again if in this area.

Excellent host, fantastic communication and was happy for us to arrive after 9pm. He welcomed us onto the pitch, which is a large, hard surface and flat area. It was very quiet and peaceful, we had a great sleep and stay. Thanks again.
