Joli petit camping avec des propriétaires sympathiques.
Belle vue sur Hevalyn et d'autres montagnes. Je recommanderais la promenade jusqu'au réservoir !
Je n'ai pas aimé le goût de l'eau potable.
Nice little campsite with friendly owners.
Beautiful view over Helvellyn and other mountains. Would recommend the walk up to the reservoir!
Didnt like the taste of the drinking water though.
Schöner kleiner Campingplatz mit freundlichen Besitzern.
Schöne Aussicht über Helvalyn und andere Berge. Ich würde den Spaziergang zum Stausee empfehlen!
Der Geschmack des Trinkwassers gefiel mir jedoch nicht.

sam221van27/09/2025Friendly camp site, very quiet. Nice warm showers and clean toilets. Call ahead, as we didn’t but still managed to get a pitch. Sylvia is the manager of the campsite and was great. No road noise.
Dietmarsiewert02/06/2025wir haben jetzt zwei Tage hier gestanden. schöne warme wirklich heiße Duschen. einfache duschen und toilettenanlage aber sehr sauber. für unser großes Wohnmobil 2 Erwachsene und einen kleinen Hund 25 Pfund pro Tag finden wir auf diesem gepflegten Platz als wirklich in Ordnung.

lovely little campsite. hot showers ,clean amenities. views are spectacular. £20 for our vw crafter. £3 extra for electric. They have a room with kettle, microwave and fridge too!

£20 is een prima prijs voor deze camping. Toen we aankwamen was er niemand en telefonisch kregen we de voicemail eraan, toch maar besloten om te wachten en een uurtje later was de eigenaresse aanwezig. Rustige plek, toiletten verouderd maar prima.

Booked the week before (Oct) and had the place to myself! really nice clean and warm toilets, loads of EHU, and a friendly welcome. Excellent phone signal (EE) - as someone else mentioned, there's a mast onsite.
ilsebruins03/10/2024Helaas geen 5 sterren omdat het warmwatersysteem voor de douches niet werkt. Voor de rest prima plek, prachtig gebied voor mooie wandelingen. Ons Kampertje

Good spot with beautiful views. Campers and vans close together so can hear conversations at night and doors slam. Toilets clean and showers stay very warm. Cell signal is good. Road to walk on up mountain is good but cars come. Can tent camp on hillside. Electric hook ups. Just really nice place to sleep and hook up/bathrooms. Not much else. £20 for 6m van
andaway21/07/2024Great small campsite situated at the North end of Thirlmere reservoir, about 500 yards from the dam. Excellent base for walking and about 4 miles from the top of Helvellyn. Would recommend for walking and peace and quiet. Has a mobile mast close but hidden behind trees so no problem with 4G signal.
fabius116/06/2024Ein sehr schöner Platz mit sauberem Sanitärgebäude. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Es geht zwar eine kleine Straße davor entlang, die aber nicht stark befahren ist. Wir haben 36£ für 2 Nächte im Campervan mit Strom bezahlt.

A great little campsite! Great facilities! Kettle, microwave, freezer. Spotlessly clean. £16 without EHU. Would definitely come again.

Great campsite with good facilities. We stayed for 2 nights. Lovely walks close by, some quite arduous with fantastic views over the reservoir when you get to the top. Owner very nice and helpful too.
