Nice park up for a night, little noise from traffic over night. £5 for the night (please pay in the postbox or we will lose it) stayed Fri night we paid others didn't.
Marché aux enchères de Thirsk. Mettez de l'argent dans une enveloppe avec une note du numéro d'enregistrement dans l'ancienne boîte aux lettres rouge accrochée au mur. Très bon café ouvert de 8h à 14h. Le parking est utilisé par les camions donc pas très calme mais nous avons bien dormi.
Thirsk Auction Mart. Put money in an envelope with a note of the registration number in the old red postbox in the wall. Very good cafe open 8am to 2pm. Car park is used by trucks so not very peaceful but we slept well.
Thirsk Auction Mart. Stecken Sie das Geld in einen Umschlag mit einem Vermerk der Registrierungsnummer in den alten roten Briefkasten an der Wand. Sehr gutes Café, geöffnet von 8 bis 14 Uhr. Der Parkplatz wird von Lastwagen genutzt, daher ist es nicht sehr ruhig, aber wir haben gut geschlafen.

Stayed three nights, Friday afternoon until Monday morning. A few lorry’s came past us but it wasn’t a problem. Traffic noise from the main road was ok as it’s quite far away. There’s a water tap on the cafe wall. £5 goes in an envelope with reg number, place it in the red post box in the wall. Would stay again.
Liebfraumilch04/03/2025Stayed for 1 night at the end of February. Very happy to stay here again. Water is available via a tap and hose near the main entrance, but it won't stretch to be able to get it directly into your Mo'home. A small detail but may be relevant to those who might struggle to carry a water container. Car park can be busy if they have a sale/auction on. Call ahead to check or check Facebook page.

Big car park with plenty of space, we stayed on a Saturday night and found it to be very quiet. Cafe closed on a Sunday.

we arrived at 08.30 and parked up. Paid r £5. Got taking to local farmer full of knowlegde about local area. Cafe was closed. We had a road legal quad with us so headed into Thrisk for breakfast then spent all day exploring area. Some road noise at night from motorway but great spot if you have some form of transport. Garage with Mc Donald's and Greg's 10 mins walk.

2nd time here and nice quiet stopover and huge cheap breakfast in the Gavelcafe

A good stopover if traveling down the A19 but felt more like a lorry park than a place for a relaxing evening. Quite a walk into Thirsk too, so we didn’t stay the night.

Lovely quiet night and breakfast at £6.25 looked amazing. Letter box hard to spot - it is in wall by one of the old fashioned lampposts rather than on wall of building.
