Schöner Ort, etwas laut von der Straße her. Vorsicht, hier sind Männer im schwarzen Volvo unterwegs die Interesse an E-Bikes haben. Kam, zum Glück, gerade dazu als sie meinen Fahrradträger genau angeschaut haben. Er hat dann schnell seinen Schlüssel hingeschmissen und hat so getan, als würd er ihn aufheben!!! Bin nicht über Nacht geblieben!!!
nice spot adjacent the canal. very nice walks along the canal in either direction. please take any litter home to avoid annoying the locals. ENJOY
We hebben deze plek gebruikt voor een koffie stop. Wordt ook gebruikt door lokale bevolking.Wel een mooie plek aan het kanaal.
Good spot. Correctly, there is room for 2 maybe max 3 without blocking some of the small park up. Quite a few walkers until dusk then no disturbance except the occasional cars that pass by.
Arrived around 5pm and soon after a second van pulled up for the night too. There was still space for 3 or 4 cars. A few cars came and went (walking dogs) during evening and early morning. Nearby road (bridge with traffic lights) busy until later in evening. Quiet night and lovely canal side walk in morning.
Were a lot of people showing up and smoking certain substances, we didn't feel safe so left.
Great stopover not far from A1. Turn right down towpath for lovely canalside walk. However, it's right by a small but busy road. Traffic calmed around 8pm, started again at 7am (weekday). But we slept fine and would still recommend this spot. We had 5 cars coming and going for dogwalking between 7-8.30am. Please park considerately so as not to block their access.
Level gravel. Great stopover. Long canal path running in both directions. Had a very quiet night. Felt safe. Added pics to the profile.
Drove past here last night there was 3 campervans and a canal boat looks ok next to a bridge with traffic lights
Perfect spot! Lovely views of the canal and great for a dog walk. Quiet overnight. We used as a stop over en route from Kent to Scotland. No facilities, free.
