This could do easily be a 5-Star stay if you get lucky. I stayed on a cold, wet, windy Saturday night and it was very quiet. I slept really well and would rate it highly. Met lots of locals (all friendly!), one a local councillor, who advised that they can have problems with drug dealers and "consenting adults", and they've had a car burned out in the parking lot before. It can be hit or miss
It could have been a good night. However, don‘t come on a dry and modestly warm Friday or Saturday as it’s a meeting place for young people. We couldn’t sleep until 2:30 AM. And bring insect repellent - it’s directly neighbored to the old Nottingham Canal. We stayed in a Crafter - wider cars will not be able to access.
Perfect for a quiet night, also on a cycle route so hand for a ride. A couple of cars were here but all went around 22:00
Stayed here and it was quiet. No amenities and there is a width restriction on the gate (we were in a Elgrand and got through) Good stop, no noise and very little traffic on the road
Seems like a nice place for a night over. Very peaceful. Good spot between Nottingham and enrout to Ilkeston.
