There is no more parking overnight in car park spaces as this previously was accepted. Green bays ony for moterhomes overnight. If you are not in a green bay you will get a fine . This is such a shame as Moterhomes bring a lot of revenue to Skipton.

  • 3/5

Parked up on the usual carpark in Skipton overnight. Paid £6.60 instead of £6 (6pm-9am). Hubby didn’t press the ‘motorhome’ button- simple mistake. Went out into town. Came back to a fixed penalty. Got chatting to another motorhomer this morning, he said he was in his van when they came around last night. The only people who didn’t get one were the vans parked in the green designated spaces.

  • 5/5

Stayed 2 nights in green motorhome spaces. There are 5. Parking £6 overnight from 6pm to 9am. Must have been about 30 vans and motorhomes there. If you pay daytime parking the hours carry over to the next day. No facilities but public toilet open till 6pm. Warden does check ticket! Close to lovely town with canal, and 40 restaurants and bars.

  • 5/5

Awesome park up. Awesome entertainment in the mess room by the bridge next to the awesome bridge cafe. I can't fault this place, awesome walks along the canal to the castle woods. Perfect base for exploring north Yorkshire.

  • 5/5

Excellent for one or two nights, close to the town and very quiet. Parking gentlemen checks for valid tickets and is very pleasant and is happy to advise.

  • 5/5

stayed here for 1 night, nice and quiet area, recommend

  • 5/5

had a very good stay last night loads of pubs locally and toilets open early will be returning

  • 4/5

Very busy car park 47 motorhomes the night we stayed (September), toilets nearby. Will be back

  • 5/5

Great place. And cheap. Good coverage on 3 mobile.

  • 5/5

Just had 2 nights brilliant stop over. Loads to do ,street market Saturday, boat trips , dog friendly restaurants

  • 5/5

Thank you to the town council for the facilities provided. Paid five pounds fifty for day parking and five pounds for overnighting. Stayed two days as there is so much to do and see in Skipton. The locals are friendly and proud to tell you about their town.

  • 5/5

Preciós poble amb canal i carrerons molt bonics. El parking és en mig del poble, amb molts Pubs, fish & chips i comerços a la vora. Vam quedar gratament sorpresos del lloc. Només hi ha 4 llocs per Autocaravanes.

Great spot for a night's stopover To obtain an overnight motorhome parking ticket for £5 (6pm to 9am) you need to use one of the machines away from the motorhome parking area There's a dedicated button to press which isn't on the machine nearest the marked bays As another has commented, go passed the entrance suggested by the satnav as this route is over a 3T rated bridge around a tight corner

  • 5/5

Stayed here several times and it's fantastic right in the town centre and next to all the pubs and eating places highly recommended by us

  • 5/5

We had a really comfortable night here. Paid for a weekly ticket as we arrived before 6 and left after 9 but we'll worth it. Walking distance to town to do some Christmas shopping and spend some money locally. Followed by dinner at the Indian and a beer at the canal side bar. Perfect! Thanks Skipton town council.

  • 5/5

what a great spot to spend the night, very quiet and safe with designated motorhome spaces. we didn't hear a sound all night. spent money in the local bars and had a take away back at the van. just watch which entrance you come in by..sat nav took us up the side which was really tight to get in (3 point turn required) but once in of course we saw the main entrance which made more sense lol.

  • 5/5

Great little town council overnight car park. The ticket situation wasn’t very clear so we bought 2 tickets as per another motorhomer but could have probably got away with 1, not sure. But we enjoyed a nice day/night visiting skipton! :)

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Stayed 1night 2/6/22,perfect,nice and quiet and walking distance to town ,so dog friendly in pubs ,brilliant will definitely be back.

  • 5/5

Great place to stop, right in centre by the side of the canal, 3 nights max, pub right on the car park , Pitty the toilets are locked at 6pm till 7am , Would definitely use again.

  • 5/5

Great spot like everyone is saying, very busy last night, but quiet. don't know why they can't put a outside tap from the toilet. not complaining for the price.))

  • 5/5

Cracking spit to stay over for £5 . Up to three days allowed .short walk into town .we are at the woolly sheep pub at the bottom left of sheep st . Really nice food and beer

  • 1/5

Anyone planning coming today....2 large travelling caravans with vans, generators parked lengthways taking up at least 12 spaces. No tickets.... Police drove round last night, never even batted an eyelid. Get ready for the "no motorhomes allowed"....

  • 4/5

This used to be a good overnight stop. More than a dozen vans last night, not a problem in itself; what is a problem is motor-homers behaving like travellers ! please, no tables and chairs in car park: use of chocks. This is camping. Also noise and shouting when people were returning late to their vans !

  • 4/5

Very central. Toilets in carpark during day but locked on an evening. would use again.

  • 5/5

£5.50 overnight ! Great location ! As usual the Minority are going to ruin it for everybody. Motorhome camping overnight not purchasing tickets, sat outside with chairs and tables out eating and drinking- if you want to behave like this, there’s plenty of campsites around for £20+. If people continue to evade buying tickets and displaying ‘camping behaviour’ the council will stop us parking here

  • 5/5

Great stop over, lots to do and a great open market, plenty of motorhomes there when I turned up, well worth the £5.00 over night stay

  • 5/5

Lovely town. First class Fish and chip's very close. Wifi and phone signal good.

  • 4/5

This is are second time here stayed 2 nights nice little town get here early for the motor home spaces loads of pubs and places to eat

  • 5/5

Bang in the town centre. £5.50 overnight designated van area. pay Saturday and ticket expires 9am monday. very quiet night sleep by the canal.

  • 5/5

Perfectly good spot. right in the centre of Skipton, they have toilets but only open part time. bin available. level and quiet

  • 4/5

Nice place river runs next to you helps you sleep lovely town only 5 pound overnight proper motorhome bays at bottom of carpark

  • 4/5

3 of us here last night, very quiet. Got there 1130 am paid for £5.50 for 9 hours which covered us til 6pm on Monday night, and then from 9am until 11.30 Tuesday morning. Plus the £5 overnight. Still very quiet ,very central. Great walks along the towpaths.

  • 4/5

Still a great stay over since I first posted this year's ago when it was £2 overnight. Still worth £5 (18:00-09:00). If you arrive before 18:00 you pay as if you was a car. If you arrive at 17:15 you can pay £0.20 for a super shop 45 mins then have to come back to pay the £5

  • 5/5

Great spot in the centre of Skipton! So much to see & do. Green bays for motorhome but you can park anywhere & pay for the amount of bays you use. Traffic warden was real friendly. Wish more councils would do this as it was lovely to have meal & a few drinks around Skipton.

  • 5/5

This is a great place to stop as previously said. The Boathouse on the side of the canal allowed us to use their outside tap. A bit of a walk back to van but worth it.

  • 5/5

Great little spot with loads to do in the area, toilets were open from 0800-1700, Skipton is a beautiful place, well worth a visit, parking cost us £5.50

  • 4/5

Great quiet spot, toilets were locked unfortunately, will definitely use again

  • 5/5

Visited 07/2020. Great spot. Overnight motorhome fee £5 which lasts till 10am. Toilets on site. Quiet, next to canal. Lovely canal walk, many independent stores within minutes walk. Recommended.

  • 5/5

Had a decent night here and would recommend it for somewhere to park. local council also allows use of other off street car parks for motorhomes.

  • 5/5

Il prezzo sostare la notte per camper è 5 GBP, parcheggiare la macchina di notte è 2 GBP

  • 5/5

Great stopover, around 20+ other campers overnight, plenty of room for all. Right in the centre of Skipton- close to shops and bars!

  • 4/5

Located in the centre of Skipton, less than five minutes walk to shops and pubs. Lovely clean toilets in the car park, but they do get locked on a night (around 8/9pm)...! Quite quiet, but streetlights on all night so make sure you have good curtains! £5 overnight for motorhomes, but limited spaces, £2.20 overnight for a car (or sneaky motorhome in tiny van). Meter takes card and cash.

  • 4/5

Beware starlings in trees adjacent to motorhome parking. Thousands of starlings roosting here from about1630 to late evening causing huge mess. we were warned and parked well away but still got spattered with droppings. Still great place to park, no noise at all, but beware the birds.

  • 1/5

Its £ 5 for motorhome and full of drunk people coming back all night to there motorhome 30 vans on tonight toilets close at 8 but people have got keys for the disabled Shane on you stuck people staying in vans with no facilities using disabled toilet when your not meant to should not wild camp with no facilities then low life scum empty cassette toilets in there to not on this will be stopped soon due to people like this

  • 4/5

There are only 3 Motorhome parking spaces marked in dark green paint on floor. They are a good size but as only 3 of them you need to get here early. The 3 spaces are in the overflow area of car park at the back over the little bridge. If you use normal car park spaces you MUST buy separate tickets for each bay you overhang . Parking enforcement confirmed they will find if you do not have tickets for all bays you are blocking.

  • 5/5

2.20 pond voor 24 uur op groot rustig parkeerterrein in leuk dorp. Geen hekken, 24 uur per dag bereikbaar. Geen faciliteiten, gewoon een prima plek om te overnachten.

  • 4/5

Great overnight spot, very quiet. Officially 3 dedicated MH places marked in green but we paid the £5 overnight charge for MH and had no issues. Lovely location next to canal with good walks for dogs and close to nice chippy and some eating spots and bars by the canal. Pretty flat if you drive into the overflow car park across the little bridge. That’s where the MH spaces are!!
