The on-site visitor centre, Gorta, will give you a close look at the history of Swatragh village and Dr Mooney, who ran the former doctor's surgery. Chances are you’ll be spending a fair bit of time in the pub, what with the free-flowing black stuff, classic pub fare and family-friendly vibe. There’s live music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday too, as well as a covered terrace for a pint or two on warmer evenings. And what about the practical stuff? The handful of pitches are fully-serviced with electric hook-ups, drinking water, showers and waste-disposal facilities.

Riverside Mooring Guests arriving by boat can reserve one of our private mooring pitches beside the park. Moorings include access to fresh water and shore power, with secure gated access from the park. Please note that Rooskey Bridge may need to be lifted for certain boats, so guests travelling by water should check bridge arrangements before arrival. Fishing and Onsite Tackle Store Rooskey is well known for excellent coarse fishing and pike fishing on the River Shannon. Our onsite Tackle Store stocks bait, lures, flies and other fishing essentials. Friendly advice is also available for guests hoping to make the most of their time on the river.
