Quiet spot but limited motorhome places. I arrived late at night to find no spaces available, but I parked in the HGV parking with no issues.
This the best carpark provision for campervans i have come across. Quiet level space. Very reasonable cost @ £6/night. Settle town centre is 1min walk, and has a number of pubs with good meals, a couple of takeaway places, two foodstores and a number of interesting other local shops. Someone has put some thought into the set up of the carpark and other provisions in the town. Well done.
Fantastic location. Big carpark. Designated bays. Easy to use pay and display. (Just use the yellow button for over night payment of £6) 2 min walk to the town. Very quiet at night time. Only thing we heard was owls!
Great sized car park with good sized bays, we struggled to fit entirely in the bay with a Boxer LWB but not enough to cause obstruction. £6 overnight via ticket machine - complicated to use but got there in the end! Odd cars in and out during the night and people walking through, wouldn’t say it disturbed us too much though. Plenty of other campers here. Right next to the rugby pitch , nice small circular walk for the dogs around the border of the car park. Really wish more places offered overnight and designated bays! Large bin on car park but no other facilities.
Parking calme et payant pour y rester toute la nuit. On peut utiliser les poubelles du parking mais pas d’autre services à disposition. Nous sommes restés une nuit et tout s’est très bien passé.
nice car park over 4 hours £4.70 from 9am to 6 pm overnight stay £ 12.00 from 6pm to 8 am . few minutes to town .
Great stopover - clearly marked places for vans and great size. Easy walk into Settle, which is a lovely town and worth exploring. Wish there were more villages who offered this type of facility - thank you to the people of Settle for being so welcoming . No facilities, other than bins.
Tried a few local Britstops pubs but they all insisted that we buy a meal. Britstops has totally changed since Harvest Hosts took it over. This car park in a quaint little town was fantastic. We got one of the approved bays for motorhomes but there were at least six more that didn't and parked in regular spots. Don't think there was a problem for them. Just pay 6 pounds, 6pm to 9am.
Great stop over, it was very quiet over night. This was our first outing in our van as mentioned previously this is now £6 overnight and £2.80 during the day very good value for money.
We arrived pretty late and the carpark was very busy with campers/caravans. The designated motorhome spaces were taken and the normal spaces were too small for a longer vehicle. The motorhome spaces did look relatively level but we ended up somewhere very uneven. The rugby club opposite was also fairly loud as it was around when everyone was heading home on a Friday night. Great location and a short walk to toilets. Settle is a very cute little town too. Overall, we didn’t feel super comfortable here but it’s a fine spot if needed.
Stayed for one night, quiet, felt safe, a few other vans, not all in green bays. There is a grassy area where the dog can run around and a pizza van nearby which the locals were frequenting. We walked into town (2 mins)
Spent a very peaceful night here after a week in the Yorkshire Dales. Hadn't seen many motorhomes this week - I think they were all here! Only one criticism- the pay station is not lit, and the o/night payment instructions are complicated. Tricky to follow, and even with a torch, to see the instructions and the buttons. Took us several attempts!
Brilliant stopover. Just 2 mins from town centre where there are various shops and pubs including a Co-Op mini market. You pay for overnight parking on the ticket machine following the instructions on the board. The only thing to note is that it won’t let you pay for overnight parking of £5 until after 6:00pm.
Great spot to stop over, visit Settle & the local area. The Dedicated camper spaces are a great idea :-)
stay last night for £5 from 6pm till 9am and then paid £2.30 for all day. fantastic place, close to Settle Town for food and drinks. no facilities but pu lic toilet a 5-10 minute walk away. we will definitely use again. why can't every town have one and bring extra income to the local economy.
Great spot to stop over, visit and eat out In settle.
Second time hear, lov it, settle centre is 2 mins walk, its got the lot, pubs, supermarkets, fish&chips highly recommended, lot of shops to browse about, all motorhome bays r painted green & r flat, defo come back
Great little spot next to the rugby club. Plenty of room to walk the pup. No amenities, but there are dedicated spaces for camper vans. £5 for the night, but have to pay after 6pm. Will be back ?
Tuesday is market day not massive but always wanting to help small local businesses is great.£2.30 for day parking gave me lots of time to walk in surrounding area then arrive back for 6pm to pay for Motorhome parking night fee £5.Sat in local pub it’s rainy and I deserve a pint will be coming back to complete second leg of walk.
Lovely quiet spot. Close to town £5 from 6pm to 9am a night max 3 nights stay. You pay daily rate from 9. A little Gem
£5 from 6pm - 9am. No facilities but pretty level and right in the centre of town. Lots of cafes, bars, shops etc. Market on tuesdays too. Nice peaceful spot. Thank you Settle.
Great find. The motorhome spots were taken but in a 6.4m van we fitted in a regular spots overhanging the grass. Perfect for the shops, pubs in Settle. Lovely circular walk from here. £5/night+£2.35/day. Very close to town. Thanks Settle council for this great spot.
Thank you Park4Night for a lovely spot in picturesque Settle and to Settle council for providing overnight parking for motorhomes! Lovely little town, pubs dog friendly and nearby walks ☺️
Lovely and peaceful. £5 per night in dedicated motorhome bays. Great little town with a good variety of shops. Well done Settle!
best spot, only a short walk into town. a lot of campers are staying here.
Great spot in a lovely little town! Plenty of spaces and a great location for heading into the town and into the surrounding areas there’s plenty to see and do in the area. £5 for the night and it’s well worth it. Few of the parking spaces are flat but it isn’t badly sloping. Didn’t get that busy either which is a bonus. Will definitely use this spot again.
Excellent overnighter in the centre of town, best access from the main road onto Ingfield Lane onto Greenfoot.
Terrific location. Paid £2.30 to park until 1800 then £5.00 overnight. If you arrive after 1800 you just pay the £5.00. It’s right in the town but was quiet enough.
Fabulous place to park and over night. what a refreshingly forward thinking council Craven District is. Right in the centre of town, no facilities but you will get all you need just a 2 minute walk away. Our satnav took us in via Chapel Square, if your van is bigger than ours, 6.5m, then you might struggle as it's a tight driveway in. Sent the council a thank you email for providing this facility
Great spot in the center of the town £7.30 to park day and night stayed two nights.
Good location and quite scenic for a town centre car park.
I contacted Craven Council and they confirmed that if all of the motorhome spaces are full, as long as your vehicle fits in a normal spot you can pay the £5 overnight charge and stay. Nice safe carpark overlooking the rugby pitch and very close to settle centre with takeaways, shops and pubs. Will stay again
Well done Craven council for having the foresight to provide this facility. Space for 3 motorhomes but the widthways design for two of the spaces can be confusing. Also watch out for low branches!
Excellent quiet night. Great value for £5
Perfect spot, safe and very close to town. Quiet at night. Shame no toilets
Great quiet spot, £5 per night within green bays.
A great parking area, 2 minutes walk into the village where there are some very nice pubs and eating place. Nice to see the police coming round regular and stopping and talking to people. £10 per night for motor homes, £2.20 for a van over night. Lovely and quite. Well recommended!
Great place to park. Motorhome bays outlined in dark green do you have to look very carefully for them as difficult to see against tarmac. Also as you can see from my photos the back of bays are like Ned with large stones. If the council had used smaller stones you could back into bays more easily, as it is you have to overhang
£5 6pm - 9am - sign clearly says if you're parked in the motorhome spots you can camp overnight for up to 3 nights. We parked in a motorhome bay but lots of smaller motorhomes and campervans turned up and parked in the usual bays within no trouble. Right in the centre of Settle, really quiet and peaceful.
Agree all comments above except the local council has increased cost to £5. Bit steep as no facilities at all and inconsistent with same council charging in Skipton.
Great place to park and stay overnight in settle but don't follow postcode because it takes you down a really narrow road and you don't see the car park. Easiest access is to head for the rugby club via ingfield Lane.
Le tarif est de 2,20£. Nous avons préféré aller au parking de la piscine de la ville où il n'y a aucune restriction.
