Lovely place to stay with great views over the stour. The pub was full of character and the staff very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the pub wasn’t Serving food but we had a few drinks.

Schöner Übernachtungsplatz, den wir nur weiter empfehlen können. Zur später Stunde kamen wir an und wurden mit offenen Armen empfangen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, welche auch ein nettes Gespräch gesucht haben und uns gute Reisetipps für die Weiterfahrt gegeben haben. Der Besuch im Pub lohnt sich auf alle Fälle.

We arrived to spend the night near the ferry. We left with memories of a wonderful last evening of our Scotland/England trip. We received such a warm welcome in the pub, were able to listen to great music, and sing along ;-). Now we're back in Germany and would have loved to stay at The Bull a little longer. Thank you so much!

Stayed here last night. Excellent spot with a view of the estuary. Really quiet and less than half an hours drive to the Harwich ferry. Unfortunately the pub wasn't open, as we would have loved to visit. Thank you so much to the owners of this pub for permitting overnight stops (with a donation).

Auch in diesem Urlaub war das unser erster halt. Von man zügig von der Fähre kommt, schafft man es gerade noch, dass die Küche offen ist. Hervorragendes Essen und sehr netter Service. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Wenn man im Pup isst kann man hier gratis die Nacht verbringen. Das Essen war sehr gut. Der Platz ist ruhig. Toilette im Pup ist Nachts geschlossen.

Second time we have stayed here after the ferry, very friendly owner and staff. Pitch is grassed and relatively flat, very peaceful and ideal for a good nights sleep (especially after a few beers) food served until 21:00. We will definitely come here again, thanks to the owners for making this park up available.

A truly fabulous place . Spent two nights here with friends in order to attend a local swim event . Fantastic food , great staff and the landlord and landlady are the most nicest people . Will definitely be going back next year . Thank you

Superb stopover , we arrived Monday evening and left Wednesday, very quiet, lovely view down to the river and good cycle rides around . We did not use the pub as it was shut but put a donation into the honesty box, lovely flat grassed or gravel to park on.... we will be back.

We spent a night here,when the pub was closed. Nice meadow behind the house. Close to the Harwich ferry and the historical Stour valley. We paid 10 pound into the box.

Nachdem wir mit unserem WoMo abends die Fähre verlassen hatten, sind wir direkt zu diesem Pub gefahren. Leider war es ein Sonntag, so dass wir die hier oft erwähnte Gastfreundschaft der Besitzer nicht erleben durften. Der Stellplatz ist super sauber, bietet eine schöne Aussicht und ist sehr ruhig. Die „Honesty Box“ befindet sich an der Mauer auf der Grünfläche (welche übrigens perfekt gemäht war)

Heel vriendelijke ontvangst en het eten in de pub is een aanrader. Heerlijke camperplek achter de pub op een mooi gazon met prachtig uitzicht over de rivier de Stour. Waterkraantje aan de muur van de pub.

Toller ruhiger Stellplatz auf Rasen, wir kamen spät abends wurden aber trotzdem herzlich empfangen. Sehr netter Wirt und nettes Personal, hilfsbereit, geben Tipps zum Erkunden der Gegend. Kommen gerne wieder!

Very quiet pub stopover in a paddock behind the car park specifically for campers. Great food at a reasonable price, well worth the stop. Friendly, helpful staff

We wanted to stay here ahead of our ferry. But when we looked on the day, we didn’t realise it closed at 7 on Sundays! So we phoned ahead and the staff were super helpful! We arrived at 6.57 and although we were too late for food, we were still able to order drinks, use the toilets and speak with the staff, who were lovely! We camped on the grass overlooking the estuary and had a peaceful night!

Im hinteren Bereich des Parkplatz ist ein Schotterplatz und dahinter eine Wiese. Wir konnten uns aussuchen, ob wir auf Gras oder Schotter stehen wollten. Die Gastleute waren sehr freundlich und habe uns herzlich aufgenommen. Der Pub ist sehr schön, das Essen ist super lecker und nicht überteuert. Die Bedienung war auch sehr zuvorkommend. Einer der Bern Stellplätze auf dem wir waren.

Sehr gutes, britisches Pub Ambiente, mit gutem Essen und Trinken. Dazu sehr gute Unterhaltung und einen guten Platz zum stehen. Empfehlung auf jeden.

Superb place to stay overnight! There were signs out front advertising Park4Night and the staff were absolutely lovely. They have a specific section in the car park just for motor homes. Had a delicious meal followed by a quiet and peaceful sleep, then woke up to some stunning views across the river.

Super Stellplatz, echt nette Leute, sogar eine deutsch sprechende Bedienung. War unsere erste Anlaufstelle in GB.

Für mich besser als jeder Campingplatz. Super nettes Personal und gutes Essen! Toiletten können benutzt werden und sind sauber! Wenn ich wieder auf der Ecke bin komme ich definitiv wieder her. Der Betreiber stellt extra eine kleine Wiese für die Camper bereit!

Was für tolle Besitzer sind das denn? Hatten zuerst einen so schönen Abend im Pub und dann eine ruhige Nacht auf dem Rasen Grundstück dahinter. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Had a really peaceful night here. Small grassed area separated away from main car park. Great views over Stour estuary. Very welcoming staff in pub. Free camping if you use the pub. Donation in an honesty box if you don't. Pub food was fantastic and plentiful. You do need to be self-contained. Toilets available only when pub open which isn't every day. Definitely recommend.

ideaal voor net na of de nacht voor de boot. Ongeveer 25 minuten vanaf de haven. 3 plaatsen op het gras, gratis water. Consumptie of maaltijd wordt op prijs gesteld. Voor dagen dat de pub gesloten hangt er een honesty box en kun je er dus ook gaan staan.

What an awesome stop....Stayed last night and it was perfect. Nice pitch, quiet field space for a bout 5 vans. All they ask is spend something in the pub which we did. Couldn't fault..would stay again without hesitation.

We had a one night stay and found it very relaxing. Campers have their own gated field area at the back of the pub. We ate in the restaurant and had a wonderful meal. No facilities outside of service times.
