We stayed here, on the advice of a friend and found it to be a great spot. We parked further to the right under the trees.

Wir haben hier auf Empfehlung eines Freundes übernachtet und fanden es einen tollen Platz. Wir haben weiter rechts unter den Bäumen geparkt.

DoomedVII02/09/2025Campers causing trouble here. Emptying their chemical toilets on the flower beds etc. Please don't go on holiday here. It's one of the few places in the city the homeless have to sleep. The buildings security lights come on at 5am and they're bright. Soon after it gets very busy and full of city Council workers parking to work in the depot next door.

We travelled to Southampton to meet family from America who were on a cruise. I found this park up. It is perfect. Parked in the overflow car park near the bowling green under the trees. Lots of dog walkers and everyone was really pleasant. Lots of bins and beautiful walks through the woods. I did a little litter pick and we had lunch at the garden centre. A little gem of a place .
ivanahrdinkova02/08/2025A quiet spot in the park by the cricket pitch. No signs, but we were worried that the locals who walk their dogs there might call the police on us. We were of course discreet and left the place tidy.
redknight610/09/2024Das ist wirklich ein Geheimtipp. Kleiner Parkplatz einer Parkanlage mit Zufahrt über 3 m breitem Tor und dann 100 m einspurig (Gegenverkehr kann kommen -> vielleicht 2. Person vorschicken zum Absperren). Größere Wohnmobile sollten durch den asphaltierten Parkplatz fahren und unter den Bäumen parken. Toilette nachts geschlossen. Abfalleimer vorhanden. Ab 8:00 wird der Parkplatz voll. Park supertoll
esprit-libre07/09/2024Un super endroit, très tranquille la nuit. Aucune restriction. WC et poubelles. Parfait pour les balades dans le magnifique parc. Il faut arriver par Weston Lane et entrer dans ce qui ressemble à un chemin privé ( mais ce n'est pas le cas ) Un peu loin du centre de Southampton, il vous faut donc des velos ou moto. Adapté grands véhicules (7,5 m) Arrivez en fin de journée pour avoir de la place

Stayed here Saturday 20/7/24 Park up is set back from the road right next to a council run bowls club. Very quiet with great dog walking routes through woods and a large field. There are public toilets which were opened at 7:30 Sunday morning. The postcode listed is incorrect. Head to Mayfield Park Bowling Club, this will take you directly there. Sky mobile has a great signal.

A great free spot next to the bowling green and woods. Busy in the day with dog walkers and bowling but by early evening the car park is pretty empty. No restrictions. Clean toilets in the bowling green building which are open in the day. Pretty quiet at night. You get some kids hanging around in the woods but nothing to worry about in my opinion.

We spent a Saturday night here after checking out 2 other places locally. Very quiet overnight, one other van arrived after us. Some dog walkers Sunday morning but no issues. A bit of a grand entrance way, with manicured formal gardens wasn't what we expected on arrival ;-)
