Camping in the middle of nature on the outskirts of Silkeborg close to the city centre. The lakes (Silkeborgsøerne) are only a few hundred metres away from the camp. Canoe and kayak rental possible. Sanitary clean. Common house with table for eating the days of bad weather. Kitchen equipped with oven, stove and outdoor barbecue. Also outdoor kitchen equipped with gas stove. Mtb trails nearby. Nice hiking trails starting just outside the campsite. New owners from 2024. Cozy common area with campfire and sometimes events with social dining and live music. Various outdoor activities and outdoor games for children. Motorhomes are welcome on both motorhome pitches (195 DKK incl. 2 persons - 10 pitches available) and regular pitches. There may also be space for motorhomes and campervans in the parking area outside the camp. These spots cannot be reserved in advance, and it is not possible to purchase electricity. The price is 145 DKK and includes two people.

Most of these are located on terraces, so that the magnificent view of the Silkeborg Lakes can be enjoyed unobstructed. Terrassen Camping is Denmark's second highest campsite with a direct view of Himmelbjerget and Julsø. The campsite is child-friendly and offers exciting activities. The site has an outdoor heated pool, mini golf and a playground for the little ones.
