Great idea but unable to book the same night, I even tried phoning the council as the website wouldn't allow booking less than 24hrs and no other vehicles were parked. Used the following evening, a very slight slope but nothing a chock didn't sort. No views as behind the sand dunes but beach definitely worth a visit. Toilets were open at 6.30am, but typical beach loos.

Nacht sehr ruhig.

Lovely quiet place, you are best to book in advance. The Landing is open til 10.30 for food and drinks with outdoor patio heaters so great place to sit and chat. Pizza place in the carpark and toilets are open for use so good stop over place. Beach is lovely for walks and dog friendly.

We were lucky with pitch 1, lovely and quiet. Appreciate the council setting up these overnight areas for motor homes, just not sure it needs to be as much as £12.

not worth 12 pounds when the trailer blocks the place.. no facilities working and a bit of roudiness shouting from drunk youths.. The place is generally scruffy and it spoils a nice part of the country.

  • 3/5

We payed £12 for the night, luckily we got pitch 2, which was the best. But be warned, if you get pitch 4, there is a trailer almost parked on it which belongs to the surf school. The council should have the trailer moved if they are going to charge £12 . Apart from that, it’s a nice place to stay, it’s next to the beach and toilets

Booked pitch 4 which is at the side of the surf school. They have there trailer parked right on the edge of the motor home pitch, so if you want to open your door you can’t. The place was generally scruffy. Parking on rough uneven grass. Definitely not worth £12 a night. It was a quiet night, pitch 1 and 2 were nicer than pitch 3 & 4

there are three car parks locally that allow a few overnight parking slots per car park. these are currently: Amble Braid Car Park, Amble Links Road Car Park, Bamburgh Beadnell Overflow Car Park, Beadnell it seems to me that using the website you can book on the day or for the future. Hopefully Northumberland CC will extend in the future.

Tried to book but left it too late, must be 24 hours ahead, went anyway to check it out and bumped into the traffic warden; asked him if all spots were fully booked, and he said he didn't know, but that we would be fine outside of a bay, he said they took a softer approach in the winter months. Clean toilets nearby, beach 20 metres away, pub 50 metres away. Amazing spot

Book via council. Permit £12, cannot book consecutive nights in same car parks. Toilets open and generally clean. Plenty of rubbish bins. Bay 1 is great for long motorhomes as is 2. 3 is OK but at 8.73 we couldn't fit in. and we tried bay 4 and are 8.73 and managed. The landing is good food, as us the fresh pizza from the BAE hut.

Nice spott some bit bumpy so might wNt chocs. easy to book we booked a week earlier and was full on a Thursday in Sept. there is a toilet open all night, bar accross the road and a pizza van open till 8pm in the car park. in the morning we wanted a bit longer it's £6.00 for just 3 hours but there is a free 1 hour if you just press the green button :-)

Vooraf boeken.

**11/8/23 - Bay numbering changed by council** Designated bays in Beadnell Overflow car park where sleeping overnight is allowed. Bays need to be booked in advance £12 - either online on Northumberland County Councils website or via QR code. To be sure of a space probably best to book in advance. Bay 1 is by walkway to the beach through dunes. Toilets open 24/7.

unfortunately you might turn up and find that all the spaces are prebooked even though they are empty. Yes you can prebook them using the website which we will do next time. Would be interesting to see what happens if someone was already in your space on arrival. Other than this way of prebooking, looks like a nice place to stay right beside the sand dunes and beach.

I think capacity has been greatly reduced. I think official motorhome spaces is now around 4. A bit of a shame . Other wise decent car park and facilities.

  • 5/5

Lovely little spot, parked from 12pm onwards and left the spot around 9am the next day. Bay 1 right next to the sand dunes. Toilets across the car park are spot on and open 24/7. The pub in the village is lovely with a great outdoor seating area. Would definitely recommend.

Staying here now - what a great little find. £12 for a pre booked space through Northumberland Council (easily found on google). Right next to the beach, must be a self contained campervan, awnings not allowed as quite tight spaces. Hopefully more councils will start doing this!
