Contrary to the road signs, the area accessed via the clock tower is very definitely closed to vehicles of any type. Mounds of rocks and soil have been used to lose off the parking areas and the gate is locked (01/10/22). Turning was difficult in a small camper, anything bigger would need to reverse.
Wir haben auf dem Parkplatz auf der Wiese geparkt. Der Zugang ist über das Wohngebiet beim Clock Tower. Leider gibt es mit Vodafone keinen Internetempfang. Schade, da es ein wirklich schöner Strand ist. Der andere Parkplatz, asphaltiert, hatte heute (14.9.2022) keine Höhenbeschränkung

Large field for 100 vans behind sand dunes. Beach 1 min. Very quiet. No services but portaloo on beach car park. Waterfall in wood.
Fintra beach parking update: The council has once again this year agreed with the landowner to lease a parking area to facilitate beach users, campers etc. This agreement is from June 1st 22 to 30th September 22. access for motor homes will be via the Clocktower
Visited here and area behind clock tower blocked by gates. No access at all, alternative route to beach further along has a 2 m barrier. We moved on.

As mentioned by others stayed in the green behind the Clock Tower. Had a glass of wine on the dunes watching the sunset and a pod of dolphins playing in the bay. Idyllic
We stayed in the green behind the clock tower as mentioned in previous reviews. Clean, quiet, 2 mins from the beach. No imenities but there are portaloos a short walk away at the main beach car park. FREE
This is a post from the local Councillor in killybegs co. Donegal regarding fintra beach. Access to the overflow carpark and for campervans is now via the Clock Tower. The gate will open today. Please stick to the pathway when using the beach. Protect the sand dunes. The main carpark down to the beach has a 2m height restriction barrier put back in place. All campervans visit the beach via the Clock Tower.
If you take the left turn before this spot (coming from Donegal) you come down to a big open grass square and then it’s a short walk over the dunes to the beach - perfect spot for a night camping.
A great spot, it has a tap by the beginning of the car park. First gear job to descend the short very steep hill, but worth it.
