This is the parking at the start of the road, not the bus parking at the far end which is already on P4N. It's free from 8pm to 9am and then paid parking. Pay by app. Although a little busier than the bus area, there are fewer cars speeding past, fewer full time van residents and it's only a few minutes walk from the pier and town.

Five stars in the context of being smack bang in Brighton and having: beach and pier views and access; quiet and dark at night; Sealanes open air swimming pool 1 min walk (open all year and heated), with Fika coffee shop attached opening at 7am; walk to The Lanes; gym right next to you with day pass option; cycle lane stretching miles along coast especially to Hove. Paid £12 for 24h. 6m van.

  • 5/5

Safe place to park overnight free parking from 8pm-9am Motorhomes included £12 a day to stay through the day but worth it with Beach Views and Brighton pier.

  • 5/5

I've read all the comments about Paid but it's Free parking from 8pm to 9am so if you're only stopping for the night it's great and we are happy to pay for longer due to the view and how amazing waking up in the morning to the view of the beach! Gonna stay here for a few days and nights.. why not

  • 4/5

Great place for a night, few minutes walk to the lanes, or to pier, Saturday night can be a little bit busy on the road.

  • 3/5

Vrij prijzig. Paybycard is mogelijk. Onze camper, 7m past niet. Tot ongeveer 6 /6.5 m is mogelijk.

  • 4/5

stayed for one night (Saturday) while plenty of parking later on in the night, it was very noisy, lots of people going past all night, road sweeper and one very inconsiderate car went past pipping all the way down the road past all the campers. apart from noise it was a good park up, right on the beach. free from 8pm-9am

  • 4/5

Noche tranquila. Lavabos públicos a 300 metros (cierran a las 21:00)

  • 4/5

Free parking after 8pm. Ideal for visit Brighton city centre. We do not stay here for night.

  • 1/5

Great spot, lovely view of beach & sea. but at this exact point, it's £23.90 for 24 hrs (free 8pm-9am). here the parking code is 85327. there's no obvious divider, but a little further along, at the 'paddle' building for the outdoor pool & the 'stairs to upper promenade', the code changes to 85325-here it is £11.90 for 24 hours (and something like £1.70 for an hour - compared to £5.50 an hour)

  • 5/5

More than 10 spots it just goes on and on along the beach side. Had a day in Brighton and decided to spend the night here around 10£ for 24h of parking and walking distance to the centre.

  • 5/5

Perfect spot near the beach, right behind the recreation centre and the volleyball courts. We were also able to connect to nearby wifi for free. We paid 11 pound for 24h as we arrived at 1pm and is technically free overnight. Bathrooms are a short walk away toward the pier. No issues whatsoever with noise or people and had a great night sleep. Parking any closer to the pier is 22 pound for 24h so make sure you move down towards the volley ball courts for the cheaper parking.

Parked here for a day in Brighton and decided to stay the night! Payed 11.5 pounds for 24 hours (the night was free parking). It's not ideal but you wake up to the sound of waves and the pier and city are in walking distance so can't complain!

  • 3/5

Great location, right by the beach, in very close proximity to the city. Plenty of parking spaces. Free from 8 pm to 9am. Unfortunately was a bit loud as people would drink alcohol and chat loudly on benches until late at night, some racers wannabes as well. Traffic and noise picked up in the morning as well, with runners and dog walkers etc. Must be even worse in peak seasons.

  • 4/5

Spent the night here on a Sunday night . Ideal place to stay before catching a morning ferry from Newhaven, Just a half hours drive away .

  • 4/5

Great place to park location is ideal. free overnight after 8pm

  • 4/5

Good spot. Stayed on a Wed night. 5/6 others vans also stayed. Busy with cyclists and runners until 10ish. Felt safe and had a good night's sleep. Woke up to the waves!

someone needs to re-edit this listing the guy that created it as and got a clue what he's talking about.

  • 4/5

Great place to park location is ideal. free overnight after 8pm annoying boy racer going up and down the road for an hour or so but police parked up and sat there for 2 hours which seemed to have got rid of them. quiet active from around 6am.

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

Expensive and noisy. However, you cannot park closer to the seafront/pier, there are tons of food/drink locations close by, parking wardens are ok with staying overnight and it’s a very popular for this - so lots of other vans there too.

  • 5/5

Sonst prima Platz.

  • 3/5

Stopped here for 3 nights great location for the pier and town. Free 8pm till 9am then £10.00 all day. if you have a blue badge free 24/7. 6 meters is probably the longest van you can get in without going over front lines. No restriction signs. Do buy a day ticket if staying in day as parking wardens vigilant. Only d ownside a lot of the toilets were closed and odd speeding cars at night.

  • 4/5

Prix : 4,90£ 1h - 8, 50£ 2h - 14,30£ 4h

  • 3/5

Probably the best location possible to find in brighton if you want to visit the city centre and pier. however you got to be very lucky to find a free spot to park as it’s very crowded. for a night of resting sleep we wouldn’t recommend as people come and go and the cars/campers are very close to each other.

  • 5/5

Was great location for us - great view in the morning, easy walk into town can't beat the prices.

  • 5/5

it's a really nice spot to park

  • 5/5

Arrived here with plans to just stay 1 night and ended up staying 2. Free from 8pm to 9am and then £10 for full day. 10 mins walk to the city centre and 5 mins to Brighton pier. The first night was a bit busy with cars driving past but the second was quiet and felt very safe. Great location and woke up to sea views…it was great!

  • 3/5

Slanting spaces make it okay for vans up to 6m long. location is brilliant and free from 8pm to 9am. But a beach front nightclub 200 metres away in an old under-arch spot ruined the night's sleep with slow ultra-low base noise booming out all night. Quieter at 4am but only stopped at 6am. Earplugs were useless; unsure if this was a one off or regular. But otherwise, a truly brilliant spot.
