Great park up, super dog walks. They have recently tarmac the road up here minimal bumps but is steep. Two places had to go in first gear but managed in 5 metre van .

park4night24079924/08/2025Lovely spot with amazing views. Right on S Downs Way so quite busy with cyclists and walkers. Bumpy very steep road up there…. Bottom gear and go very steadily. Space for 6 vans plus 10-12 cars…. But hopefully you will find it quiet! No facilities, not even a bin…

A narrow road, slightly bumpy, windy and steep in a couple of places. It is accessible though! Maybe not for the faint hearted driver but if you take it steadily, this is an amazing spot. If your vehicle has a small engine you will struggle. My 24yo moho. 6m long with a 2.7 td engine happily took it all in second gear. Lovely dog walking and hiking and lovely views.

Quiet and lovely views with decent phone signal. Great for walks! Quite a bumpy single track road to get up. Would not recommend for motorhomes.

Great views and so much hiking or trail riding to do! Loved my little stay. Roman villa and all sorts to do before or after your night. Quiet and peaceful only a few hikers, dog walkers or cyclists. Night times were silent.

Large car park, slight slope, in remote area. Good spot, but be aware of access road. It's single track, steep, bumpy, tight turns, and we met two tractors too. Don't attempt if in large vehicle, dodgy clutch, or if your brakes can't take the descent!
Fijnie22/08/2024Not suitable for older heavy campers with limited horsepower. We tried our (fully loaded) '92 Hymer B654 with the 2,5tD but couldn't get up. We left loads of rubber in the last corner and almost burned our clutch. We made two tries before I decided it was to much. We had to inch our way backwards for several hundred yards before we could turn and find another spot for the night.

Lovely place with a load of other self build campers. The hill on the way up is a bit of a killer and packed full of hikers during the day

5 other vans on a warm Friday night. Silent. Misty morning, a few early cyclists and a cuppa. Lovely

Bignor Hill on top of the South Downs, no signs, dead end road right on top of the downs. The hill to get up is not for the faint hearted, its steep, single track, bumpy and gravely in places but what a spot. Spent the night, one other van and a couple in the back of a Range Rover, lots of cyclists and walkers.

Sign in the car park now says overnight stays are not allowed. Such a shame as its a beautiful spot with wonderful night skies.

Lieu très calme avec une vue magnifique de par sa hauteur. Attention, limité aux véhicules légers car son chemin d’accès est difficile à arpenter.

beautiful spot. stayed the night last year. very quiet, not near a main road so no traffic noise. car park not busy either. only downside is track up to it, very bendy and undulating. was testing in my little short wheelbase transit. mostly 1st gear all the way up. nice views though

Een echte stille plek aan het begin van een wandelgebied. Ideaal voor vans, niet bereikbaar voor grote campers (smalle toegangsweg). Geen toiletten of voorzieningen.
