Really nice stay, overlooking the sea. We were the only camper, stayed on the top part and needed levelling blocks. Checked i the morning and the lower section is flatter. It was nice an quiet had a good sleep, no facilities at all, but I would say a tenner is fair.
Superb spot. £10 honesty box. Incredible views and nice and quiet. Close to Smoo Caves and 20 min walk to local pub. Coffee trailer in car park too. Ideal for a stop.

A perfect handy little stop over. This is our third year stopping here. People moaning about it being just a carpark with no facilities bla bla bla, yes that's exactly what it is, it's a handing little place to stay for a nice quiet rest with a lovely view, if you're not happy with it go pay £25+ at a campsite. it's £10 a night, not per person.
Great little spot, although looked bleak arriving in the rain! Just a level platform of hardcore! And no facilities. Spent the afternoon at Smoo Cave and hiking inland. Then back to the van and the amazing view. Sun was out next morning and everyone sat outside for breakfast. Coffee bar wasn’t open. Well worth the £10 we popped in the honesty box.
Great spot for £10 per night. Please leave £10 in the honesty box. Toilets at smoo open all night 10 min walk away. Durness is definetly one of the best places on the NC500

Platz zum reinen Übernachten war gut. Geschottert und einfach, aber dafür mit Aussicht und Einfachheit. 10£ pro WoMo, nicht Person haben wir gelesen und eingeworfen. Entlang der Strecke gibt es einige ähnliche
Bastant increïble que existeixin llocs d'aquest tipus. Vistes espectaculars com tots els llocs de highlands, diuen que ho han condicionat....és un solar amb terra aplanada res més.Et cobren 10£ per la cara, bastant vergonyós, si pagues que sigui perquè t'ofereixin algun servei aquí res, com dormir el camp, nefast. Els pobles estant matant el sentit d'anar en Camper.
Bellissima vista, molto ampio e tranquillo. Solo cassetta delle offerte (nessun servizio) ma la vista la mattina merita una notte! Prende anche la rete!

Great spot with it only costing £10 with immaculate views. Only downside was the wind but would get this in the campsite down the road anyway. Simple money box on gate system for paying included leaving our reg.
Neuer Platz direkt am Meer . Jungem Ehepaar aus dem Haus an der anderen Straßenseite gehört der Platz und sie betreiben auch den kleinen Imbiss. Sonst keine Einrichtungen vorhanden. Bitte an die 10£ denken! Donationbox hängt am Zaun.
Wir standen hier für eine Nacht. Die Straße war sehr ruhig. Dank der sehr steifen Brise hatten wir keine Midges. Kleiner Getränkewagen (war leider geschlossen) und Sitzbänke waren auch vorhanden. Wir waren super zufrieden und würde den Spot weiter empfehlen! Bitte Spende da lassen! :)
Yes it’s not got some services but it states that in the details. There are council wheelie bins across the road. We had a good nights sleep despite some motorhomes arriving late and squeezing in where they shouldn’t have been. Thanks to the person / organisation who facilitated this area. £10 is well worth the cost for the night.
Quelle vue incroyable ! Un peu en contrebas d’une route très calme la nuit, nous étions seulement 3 véhicules hier soir. 15-20 minutes à pied de la Smoo Cave où se trouvent les toilettes les plus proches.
Prima plek en prachtig uitzicht. Als de koffiekraam geopend is kun je daar ook de standplaats betalen/pinnen. Weinig last van het verkeer van de naastgelegen weg.
gravel level parking. every space faces the sea. fantastic views and quiet. room for about 12 vans. there were vans about 8m parked up. no services. walking distance to smoo cave.
What an amazing find, staying here now and can’t wait to walk in the morning. The views are truly amazing. Don’t forget to put your £10 honesty payment in the box on the right as you drive in. we stayed for the night on way to smoo caves has two levels we parked on the top by what I presume will be a coffee trailer when the season starts, it was a bit untidy with all types of rubbish ie DIY items stacked by the wall would make it I bit better if cleared. was OK for a one night stop.

Beautiful parking spot! We got here at around 4:10pm and there were only 3 spots left (September) so would recommend getting here relatively early. Quite windy but still okay for us to use our campervan pop top. Would recommend

Fünf Sterne wegen der Aussicht. Parkplätze in 2 Ebenen, unten gerade, oben leicht schräg. HonestyBox 10£ am Eingangstor. Hotel mit Restaurant recht günstig in fussläufiger Entfernung. Boden nicht pfützenfrei. Caffee-Verkaufsanhänger auf oberem Parkpatz, hatte gegen 17:00 Uhr schon zu. Fussläufig ist das Landschaftshighlight Smoo Cave, das unbedingt besichtigt werden sollte.
Strano da dirsi ma nella zona difficile trovare posto per fare notta in libera. Dovendo pagare questo è buona soluzione. 10£ con bella vista e utilizzato per andare a piedi alle grotte e alle spiaggie. Pagamento nella cassetta della posta. il food truck apre non prima di mezzogiorno (comodo per cambiare i soldi ) silenzioso e bella vista
Nice place to stay great scenery decent parking. Stayed here last year, been improved since last year a bigger parking area and even a little drinks hut with picnic tables, peaceful and quiet very little road noise.
ok pour campig car mais si vous êtes en van, c'est nul. Aucun service, juste une poubelle qui déborde. Aucune intimité et le sol recouvert de flaques d'eau. seul point positif, un peu abrité du vent. 2 étoiles pour la vue qui est magnifique.

Slept really well here, it’s a gorgeous view. car park was full by about 6pm/7pm, would recommend getting here about 4ish to secure a good spot. One of our favourite park ups on the nc500 trip. honesty box £10 on the gate. There is a little coffee/food van too but it wasn’t open when we came

What a gem. The owner told us they’ve just expanded this spot, would comfortably fit 10 vans with the most incredible view. Also have a coffee van with delicious cakes. A winner for £10 a night in honesty box.

Beautiful spot and great location for visiting the local beaches and Smoo Cave. There is an honesty box where you pay £10 for the night which is worth it if you are working to a tight NC500 schedule and want to be close to hotspots- there were lots of free parkup options on the road in to Durness that also looked great.
Nice quiet spot on the cliff top, but get here by 4pm if you want to guarantee a space. No facilities, but worth the fee and very clean toilets at the Smoo Cave car park just up the road. Cave is worth a look also, especially if it’s just rained!
Well worth £10, nice and flat and hard ground with great views. Road was quiet at night unlike the weather which was blowing a gale when we were here but you do get some shelter from the wall so we were gently rocked to sleep. I also recommend a walk up to the Smoo Cave Hotel which takes about 10 minutes but remember a torch for the walk home.

Schöne Aussicht, abends sehr ruhig, 5 min zu Fuß zu einem wunderschönen Sandstrand mit kleiner Höhle an dem man gut den Abend verbringen kann. Ab ca. 16.30 Uhr wurde es bei uns heute voll, wir stehen mit 4 anderen zusammen. Straße ist abends/nachts sehr ruhig, Toilette gibt es 10 min weiter bei der lohnenswerten Smoo Cave. 10 £ pro Nacht.
stayed last night very quite very little traffic noise during the night three other vans stayed here as well still enough room for two more. there won't be any eggs for sale for a while looks like someone has made the egg cupboard into a flat pack honesty box as envelopes inside to write reg and date staying £10 pn
Hard standing just off the NC500 road overlooking the coast, stunning views, now services just a hard standing with an honesty box £10 payment, worth it for the views very little noise from the road and we were the only van until 2 more turned up later but was plenty of room

April 23. £15 per night (into honesty box) Fantastic views and quiet overnight stay which is gated off the roadside. 3 pitched up during our stay, space for 5. Nearby Smoo cave has public toilets (0.6 miles). Would stay again.
Nice little stop off. No facilities but great view and there were two cuckoos flying around and sitting on the posts when we arrived. Put your £10 in one of the envelopes inside the post box by the gate. Perfect 4G signal. A bit windy but expected due to position.
Super Aussicht, Platz für drei bis vier Wohnmobile. Sehr windig, aber die 10£ sind für die tolle Aussicht völlig in Ordnung. Keine Infrastruktur am Parkplatz.
Top plek! Geen tot weinig last van verkeer (zeker niet in de avond). Top avond zon en met maar 2 andere campers zeker een gezellig plekje. In de ochtend trok de wind aan maar ook daarover kan je niet teveel klagen. Zeker aan te raden!
Stayed for one night in January. Only one other camper there. Nice place with great view. Near the main road, but not much traffic in the winter, might be different in the summer! Can be very windy.
amazing location!!! fantastic sunrise views, highly recommend, definitely worth the £10 charge (probably only in place to deter just anyone stopping on their land) just off of a quiet road that leads into Durness where there is a Spar shop and toilets within 5mins of the site can be quiet windy, but if you park your car/van in the right direction, you should be able to use it as a shelter
