The car park was almost empty at 17.30, and I tucked myself away in the back corner on a flat spot surrounded by greenery. Quiet all night, some noise from walkers started around 7am but no one was disrespectful. Great cafe for breakfast, and a lovely walk around the park. I’ll definitely be back if in the area.
Arrived at around 7.30pm, lots of people using the area for dog walking, several cars which stayed until gone 10pm, after that nice and quiet. Plenty of room for the only motorhome, and we tucked in at the back of the car park out of the way. Slight gradient on the car park so you may need levelling chocs. There is a height bar at the entrance, but this was left open with no restriction.
great park up , plenty of room , flat for the most part , good signal . 30 min walk to Melton Mowbray town centre where you need to visit Ye olde pork pie shoppe . parking is free and lovely park to explore . height barrier was open and doesn't look like they close it. lots of dog walkers during the day but quiet at night

We Stayed here last night it's a beautiful place and the cafe is lovely, I would highly recommend it , wet a good night sleep, There were some young children playing and young youths in cars but it didn't bother us at all .
great location with stunning views. there is a 2m height restriction, but this was open and I don't think they use it. very quite over night.
Stayed overnight to do the ParkRun. Unfortunately cafe closed Christmas week so no toilets. Otherwise a really great place to park up. We were the only ones so very peaceful and felt safe as next to a residential area.

Melton Borough Council signage states no vehicular use for the purposes of camping, and there's a 2m height restriction gate so... probably best not to chance it overnight, although a great dogwalk around the lake/disused railway.
