Arrived around 10pm and not a single vehicle in sight. Very peaceful sleep, a little road noise but nothing too bad. No view or services but a good place to have a sleep and move on.
Stationnement bord de route en retrait. L’accès des deux parking plus en avant sont désormais interdit d’accès aux personnes non autorisées
Off road parking. Access to the two car parks further forward are now prohibited for unauthorized persons.
Parkplätze abseits der Straße. Die Zufahrt zu den beiden weiter vorn liegenden Parkplätzen ist nun für Unbefugte gesperrt.

Carucymru14/10/2025handy little spot close enough to staithes and no charges the old cowbar spot is empty now and very expensive coop up the road and facilities in the village too
FnGTravels06/07/2025Agree with previous posts about what a great stop this is. Maybe just four other vans parked up when we arrived at 8pm with the same number at 8am. Felt completely safe & comfortable for the duration of our stay. The road noise wasn't intrusive even on a Saturday night. Would happily return.

Stayed here for 1 night, next to main road but was very quiet from 9pm, phone signal good, 2 minutes drive to toilets in Staithes car park and also a co op there for any essential bits, no problems at all and was 2 other campers there too, deff stay there again when in that area.
davidtaylororiginal01/09/2024Perfect place to stop, we was the only motorhome here, 30 minutes walk into Staithes. A beautiful harbour village, some road noise but did not bother us.

We have just stayed at cowbar for 2 nights. its a great spot. lots of dog walkers coming and going and 3 other motorhomes, we felt really safe. Woke up to fields of beautiful golden crops. will definatley stay again. We wernt bothered by the traffic and had one hooter !!

Perfect for a night. We stayed New Year’s Eve here. .30 minutes walk into Staithes. A beautiful village. Good reception on 3 mobile. Great walking on the Cleveland Way. A little bit of traffic noise in the night, but otherwise, a great place to stay .
