Stopped here for one night on New Year’s Eve 2025. Very picturesque spot, lay-by is wide so you’re not right on the road. Shame to see litter left by others, but otherwise a nice place to be, lots of open space to take the dog out too. Warden came and gave us a knock at around 930 in the morning asking us to move on and let us know we shouldn’t have stayed but was polite about it.
Stayed for one night. No problems. Was pretty quiet between 11pm to 7am with the occasional vehicle passing but nothing excessive enough to disturb me. Arrived at 9pm left around 10am. Just a load of sheep for neighbours and some nice views in the morning.
Fairly level layby for 2, road is quite busy up to about 11 and again from about 6. Typical horn blower at 7:30, thought they would wake us up, LOL. Stayed one night to awake with beautiful scenery and sheep asleep next to van. Bit noisy but there are many worse places than this, would stay again if in area. No bins or services.
Decent roadside parking. Wide enough, so you've actually got about 10ft from the road. Level with good phone reception, but is noisy with cars up until about 930-10pm. Sheep and horses for neighbours. Arrived at 5pm-ish, had left by 630am to climb Pen Y fan. Good for a night's parking.
This spot is what it is- next to the road (noise abated at 10pm but started at 6am). A little shelter from the wind which was nice. View in the morning is amazing though
De plek is mooi maar erg dicht langs de weg. Ook na 11 uur in de avond nog erg veel verkeer. Vanaf 6:30 begint het ochtend verkeer alweer. Ook wordt er erg hard gereden dus je ligt te schudden in je bed. Voor ons geen herhaling hier.
Make sure not to park on the grass but on the parking spot. A friendly ranger came in the morning and told as that you can be fined if you just park anywhere. Please don’t leave your rubbish or toilet paper as well. Otherwise good spot to spend a night.
Lovely spot, mainly as described, but cars did wake me up in the night.
Exactly as described. Traffic noise abated overnight and we slept well. There was another camper so we felt secure too. 5G phone signal (EE).
