Super accueil. On a mangé et bu des bières au pub, tout le monde était hyper sympa et accueillant (et donc oui, pas de frais supplémentaires à payer pour le camping après ça!). Allez-y!
Nous avons téléphoné à l'avance pour voir si nous pouvions rester, ce que le propriétaire a dit que nous pouvions pour 10 £ dans notre camping-car, pas d'électricité mais avec accès aux douches et aux toilettes - ces prix peuvent changer car ce sont de nouveaux propriétaires qui font un effort massif pour faites de cet endroit quelque chose de génial! Idéal pour les petits campeurs (assez d'espace pour 3-4 campeurs sur le terrain) belles vues tout autour. Le site est juste à côté du pub/b&b des propriétaires qui sert également de la nourriture et les propriétaires sont incroyablement adorables ! Il est également juste à côté du début de la randonnée du sentier des dragons, donc parfait si vous envisagez de le faire! Malheureusement, nous n'avons pas pu installer notre camping-car XLB sur la piste, mais nous le recommanderions quand même !
We rang up before hand to see if we could stay which the owner said we could for £10 in our campervan, no electric but with access to showers and toilets- these prices may change as these are new owners whom are making a massive effort to make this place something great!
Ideal for smaller campers ( enough spaces for 3-4 campers on the field) beautiful views all around. The site is just off from the owners pub/b&b which also serves food and the owners are amazingly lovely!
It is also right next to the start of the dragons back trail hike so perfect if you plan on doing this!
Unfortunatley we couldnt fit our XLB campervan down the track but would still recommend!
Wir haben vorher angerufen, um zu sehen, ob wir bleiben könnten, was der Besitzer sagte, wir könnten für 10 Pfund in unserem Wohnmobil bleiben, kein Strom, aber mit Zugang zu Duschen und Toiletten - diese Preise können sich ändern, da es sich um neue Besitzer handelt, die sich sehr bemühen Machen Sie diesen Ort zu etwas Großartigem! Ideal für kleinere Camper (ausreichend Platz für 3-4 Camper auf dem Feld) schöne Aussicht rundherum. Die Seite liegt direkt neben dem Pub/B&B des Besitzers, das auch Essen serviert, und die Besitzer sind unglaublich nett! Es liegt auch direkt neben dem Beginn der Drachenrückenwanderung, also perfekt, wenn Sie dies vorhaben! Leider konnten wir unseren XLB-Wohnmobil nicht auf die Strecke bringen, würden es aber trotzdem empfehlen!
Llamamos con anticipación para ver si podíamos quedarnos, y el propietario dijo que podíamos por £ 10 en nuestra autocaravana, sin electricidad pero con acceso a duchas y baños; estos precios pueden cambiar ya que son los nuevos propietarios los que están haciendo un gran esfuerzo para hacer esto lugar genial! Ideal para campistas pequeños (suficiente espacio para 3-4 campistas en el suelo) hermosas vistas a su alrededor. El sitio está justo al lado del pub / b & b de los propietarios, que también sirve comida y los propietarios son increíblemente encantadores. También está justo al lado del comienzo de la caminata por el sendero del dragón, ¡así que es perfecto si planeas hacer eso! Desafortunadamente, no pudimos colocar nuestra autocaravana XLB en el camino, ¡pero aún así la recomendaríamos!
Abbiamo telefonato in anticipo per vedere se potevamo rimanere, cosa che il proprietario ha detto che avremmo potuto per £ 10 nel nostro camper, senza elettricità ma con accesso a docce e servizi igienici: questi prezzi potrebbero cambiare poiché sono i nuovi proprietari che stanno facendo uno sforzo enorme per farlo posto fantastico! Ideale per piccoli camper (spazio sufficiente per 3-4 camper a terra) splendide viste tutt'intorno. Il sito è proprio accanto al pub/b&b dei proprietari che serve anche cibo ei proprietari sono incredibilmente adorabili! È anche proprio accanto all'inizio dell'escursione del sentiero del drago, quindi perfetto se hai intenzione di farlo! Sfortunatamente non siamo stati in grado di montare il nostro camper XLB sul sentiero, ma lo consigliamo comunque!
We belden van tevoren om te zien of we konden blijven, wat de eigenaar zei dat we konden voor £ 10 in onze camper, geen elektriciteit maar met toegang tot douches en toiletten - deze prijzen kunnen veranderen omdat het nieuwe eigenaren zijn die zich enorm inspannen om dit te maken plek geweldig! Ideaal voor kleine campers (genoeg ruimte voor 3-4 campers op de grond) prachtig uitzicht rondom. De camping ligt direct naast de pub/b&b van de eigenaar die ook eten serveert en de eigenaren zijn ongelooflijk aardig! Het is ook direct naast het begin van de drakenpadwandeling, dus perfect als je dat van plan bent! Helaas konden we onze XLB-camper niet op het parcours plaatsen, maar zouden hem toch aanraden!

Good night here. Close to road which can be busy by day but quiet at night. We ate and drank in the pub. Food excellent. Free overnight, called and booked table in advance. Access best from Southerly direction. It’s a bit tricky getting back out with a LWB rear wheel drive. Needed a bit of momentum but managed. Self contained van so can’t comment on toilets/showers, etc. Highly recommend.

A cozy pub with a log fire, serving tasty and affordable food. The bar staff kindly let us stay at their campsite for free, with access to facilities, as long as we had some food and spread the word. It’s the perfect base for exploring Dinas Castle and the surrounding mountains. Warm, welcoming, and ideal for adventurers—highly recommended!

Landlady was absolutely lovely! We stayed for free in our VW van in the car park - had we not eaten dinner at the pub it would just have been £10! There was a separate toilet and shower that we used once the pub was closed. We stayed for a good few hours inside the pub: we had 4 pints, 2 soft drinks, 2 dinners and 2 sides for £46.80! The landlady was lovely to chat to, out the fire and rugby on for us and also filled up my hot water bottle before we went back to the van! Also walked Dragons Back Ridge (17k) that day - a route with no roads from the pub.
pat10010006/03/2024Campsite Tip: Approach from South (uphill) on A479 (a “bear right then straight ahead” turn not down the 90° cinder track) and keep VERY close to the left gatepost. My 2.6m motorhome just fit. Road noise at 6.30am. Didn’t enquire about EHU. Very friendly. Had 2 good nights' sleep. Long hose to water tap. 2 clean toilets & shower. Black (safe additive) and grey waste (bucket) down the toilet.
BeccySanderson13/01/2024The perfect base for the Dragon’s Back trail - we rang ahead and were allowed to stop over in the car park for free as we were planning on having dinner - otherwise it would be £10. The staff in the pub were super friendly, food was reasonably priced for good portion sizes.

Julie and Ray were most welcoming, we parked up in the field and spent the day walking the Dragons Back Trail, had a fabulous meal at the pub afterwards and a few drinks, it's an excellent location for many walks and trails, had a great breakfast the following morning, we thanked both Julie and Ray for their hospitality, £10 for the nigh in our camper and the use of their facilities, well worth it

Contacted Ray before travelling, he was extremely helpful and friendly. The pub is currently closed for a refurbishment, however he said that we could camp in the car park and just put a few quid in the honesty box. We were the only vehicle there and the car park is right on the Dragons Back path. Obviously no facilities, the road is busy with quite a bit of traffic noise all night.
chlomkell02/09/2022What a gem! Ray and Julie the owners are so kind and so fabulous. They bend over backwards to make you feel truly welcomed and are working super hard to make their beautiful Inn something amazing. The food is super tasty, with huge portion sizes and prices are really fair. Campsite has shower and toilet and bins, nice grassy area. Dogs also welcomed into the pub with open arms and treats!!
