Lovely spot to park although did have cars idling until 1.30am, no bother from anyone though. Bring earplugs.

Great place to stop for lunch and walk the dog. Lovely view of Castle and Estuary. Car park free. Picnic bench’s.

I only popped here on my way to another car park had a lovely hour or so looking around the castle. Beautiful views. I did not stay the night. I would feel safe here tho I believe. Lack of toilets was my only issue :)

stayed on a Monday night & was 12 cars lined up full of drunken youth all loud & proud, won't be staying here again

Stayed on a Saturday evening in our van car park is quite busy people coming and going but not noisy only what you’d expect on a camp site! Gorgeous views we walked into town and had a lovely Turkish meal was a great spot would definitely stay there again!

Stayed here for a quiet night right next to the RNLI station. Very nice view over the castle and the sea. Quite crowded with dogwalkers, but all very nice. Benches and tables going out to the estuary. Would come again!

Beautiful spot. The castle and view are amazing. Honestly will come here again. Stayed one night and were left alone. Unfortunately the local “asbo boyz” were chatting, revving their engines, beeping their horns, playing music, and playing football for hours. They left at about 1 am. It was a Saturday night though. May be better in the week.

beautiful park up, feels like ur in nature with a walk along the coastal path but close to town, unfortunately tho we didnt end up staying due to the awful sulphur smell which started to make me feel ill, there's an industrial estate next to the water thats had multiple pollution spills recently, bad enough that all the plants are browning. such a shame, this has so much potential if cleaned.

Not a bad stopover, bit of music from nearby clubhouse... Stopped around midnight.. Easy for local shops, nice views and a castle... Would stop again

Great stopover during the day. We stopped for lunch and a look over the castle. Will try another time as a park up overnight. Looks like it would be a lovely place to wake up in,

It was a nice place to park up I got there about midnight and there was lots of parking space. It was really a quiet night and I will definitely do it again .

Nice spot, had youths in cars playing music till about midnight but was no other issues, nice stroll around the Castle, definitely stay again.

A good, easy-to-access carpark which also has electric charging points and great views of the castle. However, I found the lighting too bright to sleep (I'm only in a 4x4 without curtains), and the local kids were there til late playing loud music. I packed up and left around midnight to find somewhere quieter.

Stayed overnight. Was busy when we first arrived at 8.30pm only one other vehicle overnight. Lovely views of the castle and estuary. Park for the kids. Picnic benches, bins, no toilets. Height restrictions of 2.3m still in place. Would definitely stay again.

gorgeous spot views lovely very quiet free parking watching the tide come in

  • 5/5

Parked in the car park. Height restriction but fine for a Ford transit. No other campers. Relatively quiet, abit of music from nearby cars at night but no issues at all. Beautiful view

stayed from 1700 till 0730 the following morning nice stop to say probably not so good if your jumpy as there was kids setting fireworks off in the castle around 2130. all in all a very good spot for the night tho

Stayed here on a Friday night. It was very busy until around 8pm when it started to go dark, then it was just me overnight. Quiet night with no late night visitors. There is a lot of lighting on the car park - almost floodlit. Good spot for dog walking.
