Very clean and neat campsite with great facilities. Good pub and shop and level hard stands for motorhome. You are not close to a town so be prepared to cycle on the main road or just be walking in the hills.

manuboone28/07/2024The camping site is actually very good, nice bar, good facilities only poor WiFi. But huge disappointment to learn that car needed to be in the parking lot although paid for tent + car, because car is technically a camper. We slept this time in the tent and the van itself is not bigger than any other car. Blunt answer “it’s in the terms & conditions” is not a way to create a good vibe ☹️
keztherugger17/08/2023The road to get here was very narrow and a large incline. Staff weren't very friendly when we arrived. Site was extremely full, expensive, but clean and tidy.
Spider0703/08/2023Stayed there for 3 nights. Very good experience. Nice welcoming staff. Good facilities. Restaurant/pub serves good food/breakfast. Showers clean. Beautiful surroundings. On the negative side is access when approaching from the north. Very sharp turn on the left. Imposible with my Motorhome. Do so from the south.

Manicured and expensive. Friendly staff and decent facilities including food van and pub. Showers low pressure and lukewarm for the money. Horrid left turn up steep incline off the main road where you’re going to bottom-out your vehicle. Instead, approach from the south and make it a right turn.

lovely staff, so friendly. Great facilities bar is open til late and breakfast was so tasty! also do a food truck every night reasonably priced and nice pizzas ! Great location from windemere easy to get around. Every pitch on hard standing has a water tap and electric hook up. Toilets and shower clean and well maintained, would recommend and stay again. Also has WiFi.
laura252914/06/2023Lovely well kept campsite. Paid £43 for 2 people and a dog with a campervan. Pitch had water and grey waste disposal. They have a bar/restaurant and food stall. Only downside was the water pressure of the showers was low and signal is pretty much non-existent. They do have wifi, not sure how good it is. Laundry room is open 9am-9pm.

Good site which is well maintained but pricey at £44 a night for a camper. Breakfast was average, but washing facilities good.

Perfect. Pricey but worth it. Online booking did not work so we booked our pitch for the same day over the phone. Very organized, very clean. You MUST hike up the hill behind the campside for stunning views of Windermere (20min). Narrow access road. Taxi to Bowness ~15£.

Very well maintained and organized site. Separate areas for motorhomes/caravans - and tents. Drawback is that you need car or bike to get to the lake - all downhill area is private. Park Cliffe. Taxi is 13£ to/from Bowness on Windmere. No buss stop. On foot 3 hours walk through the beautiful country. Very busy at all times but especially in the weekends - book in advance on any date!
