Bord de route paisible avec vue, également parking hors route à proximité. J'ai été quelques fois. Beaucoup d'espace.
Impossible de dormir la nuit

Peaceful roadside with a view, also
off road parking close by. I've been a few times.
Lots of space.

Ruhiger Straßenrand mit Aussicht, auch Off-Road-Parkplatz in der Nähe. Ich war schon ein paar Mal. Viel Platz.

Un panneau interdit clairement de dormir la nuit ! Merci de faire attention quand vous mettez ce genre de spot …

Very quiet location after sundown. The odd car coming and going overnight but nothing to worry about. Felt safe as lone female. 2 other vans overnight too. Car and foot traffic starts up again at first light so not the one if you want a lay in!

Parked just next to the height restricted entry to the car park. Quiet until 7am with quarry lorries. Opposite the visitor centre with toilets (open 10.00-16.00) which has a small shop and second hand books. Lots of walks round the reserve, we walked into St Neots which has a good choice of shops, pubs and places to eat.

Just spent 2nights here, quarry lorries going by very slowly, Monday till Friday 7am—-4.00pm. But didn’t bother me. Nice walks around the lakes.

Lovely and quiet - perfect place for a first time away for me. Nice walks and visitor centre is a bonus. Lots of room to park

A great place for walking the dog and for a peaceful nights sleep. We will be back..

Excellent stop over. The nature centre has public toilets and also offers tea and coffee for £1.50.

Lovely, peaceful stop at Paxton Pits Nature Reserve during our visit to family in London and Kent. Space for about 5 motorhomes, surrounded by wildlife and scenic trails. Some morning noise from quarry traffic, but overall a serene spot. We’ve filmed our stay for our channel, The Camping Chronicles. Highly recommended for a quick, nature-filled overnight stay

Had a quiet night here last night, we were the only ones. Found a nice flat bit between the puddles on firm ground, avoided the other side (see previous photos) due to its churned up surface - I've been stuck before so won't risk it. This morning groundworkers turned up sorting that area out. It looks like there's other single parking places along the north road back to the A1(M).

Terrific place. Lovely local dog walkers. Great walks. No problem at all. Had nice Indian from St Niots.

Stayed next to the visitor centre car park. Plenty of room. Toilets and cafe open from 10am till 4pm.

Lovely quiet spot. The only thing that woke us was the bird song at around 5:30am. Had to do a bit of manoeuvring to find a flat spot but didn’t take too long. No signs saying you can’t stay overnight. Definitely recommend.

We have used this spot a few times now on the way to visit family. Quiet and locals are friendly. we have parked on the road and in the areas near the car park with the height restriction and had no issues. Lovely views and good for dog walking. Can be busy in the mornings but no one bothers you.

Lovely stop over, few cars in the late evening, but otherwise absolutely lovely, lovely carpark, county park and good roads

A quiet stop over with nice walks around the country park and sailing lake. A few cars coming and going up til about 22:00 but nothing too bad. As others have said, the lorries from the nearby quarry start moving gravel from 6:00 but only every now and then. All in all a good overnight stopover without any hassle from locals. Just keep it clean as you’re parking close to a lot of aquatic wildlife.

Very nice spot, we spent here 2 nights. Lovely place for dog walks, bird watching, fish catching (permission needed). Nice toilet open 10am-4pm while Visitor Center works. Mo-Fr can be disturb by trucks. On main parking there is a 2,5m restriction, but you can park motorhome nearby.

The marked spot is now behind a substantial gate which was locked when we drove up last night at around 9pm. Park up's were available before the gate, near the signage for the nature reserve which looked fine, but we decided against.

Parked alongside the road a bit further down from the car park. Peaceful at night but lorries passing from about 6am due to the quarry down the road. Beautiful walks and views. 2 bars signal on EE and 1 on o2 - internet worked ok.

Great location. Very quite and lovely views and walks the in nature reserve. Second visit here and will be back. Main car park has height restriction but two adjacent areas have space for up to 5 larger vans. Cafe and loo if you don’t have one on board and a pub just a short walk away on same road. Not tried it yet. Will definitely be back. One of the nicest stop overs I have found.

Great little find, Quiet night had with one other camper there. Toilets open at 10am but the coffee shop wasn’t open! Had a lovely walk on the Heron trail, plenty of wildlife to see. Let’s not spoil this spot.

Car park with high height barrier (not 2 m) which backs onto a lake. Lovely nature reserve with walks, cafe and toilets. Excellent for dogs. Quiet night.

  • 4/5

Nice peaceful night. Also there were several campers parked opposite Paxton nature reserve car park just a couple of hundred yards from here. Seemed better but was full.

  • 4/5

Very nice park up, relatively quiet, met some friendly locals, felt safe. Some lorrys do stop here servicing local businesses so be sure to tuck in.
