We stopped off here during the day because we needed to fill up our fresh water tank. The owner was lovely and let us fill up with no payment even though we offered to pay. The place looked so nice , flat gravel pitches, very pretty, quiet and surrounded by sheep, horses, chicken and a peacock. Will defo stop here for the night another time. She also has a static van and flat on air B&B on site

We stayed here for one night on the way home from a trip to Scotland. There were 4 nice flat pitches and access to water/waste disposal. We also noticed fire pits and a wood pile for use. The owner was kind and helpful and best of all, the site had horses, lambs, goats, chickens and a peacock so our kids were delighted! Would especially recommend if you are looking for a family friendly stop.

Zeer mooie stop , zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen. Heel rustig en mooi uitzicht tussen paarden schapen en kippen. Deze staat zeker in de gps voor de volgende keer in de buurt

Stayed for a night. Lovely place to stop. So quiet and a friendly welcome. Small roads but we managed it in our 6.7m motorhome. Only £15 with EHU would definitely recommend.

Lovely site. Very friendly welcome. Fantastic views and aspect, especially in the evening. Only slight downside is the grey waste is awkward to use. You can't drive over the drain - hose is required. We struggled to get enough head to empty the tank, but realised afterwards that we could have parked on the access road above and run the hose down from there.

Great park up near Thornhill easy walk to village. Owner is so helpful and great for local knowledge, farm has lots of animals sheep horses goats and chickens. Very quiet at night even the cockerels don’t waken till around nine am thank you Sharon for this great facility

Great rural location on small holding. Very friendly and helpful site owner. Lovely and peaceful. Easy walk on quiet country roads into Thornhill town. Would highly recommend.

We had a great stopover here for the night. Had the whole site to ourselves and really easy and friendly communication with the hosts. Lots of lovely animals on site too!

stunning views a welcoming host nothing is too much trouble lovely to see hens running free horses and sheep grazing spent a great Christmas and new year and will definitely be back in spring.

Very warm welcome by our host we were given some great advice on local area and walks. Gate closed when we arrived to prevent the chicken from getting out onto the road. 4 flat hard standings with a great view at £10 per night with EHU £5 extra. Fresh water tap has a hose that will reach your Moho. Black & gray waste and waste bins as well. We will be back and thank you for a great little Aire.

Fabulous little gem at the back of Thornhill. 3 quiet nights enjoying the horses, chickens and magnificent views. Don't come up the wrong road that satnav takes you, as it is rough and you will brush your van with the tree's!! Contact owner and they will give you clear directions to the top entrance. Free range eggs delicious, will definitely be back. Bravo little Aire.

Mooie spot. Alleen geschikt voor kleine campers door vlakke plaatsen op een helling. Toegangswegen ook smal, o.a. takken tegen de camper.

A beautiful location overlooking the surrounding countryside. Electricity, drinking water, grey waste and chemical toilet all for £15 per night. Lovely people who run it too. Would return if ever in the area again.

A lovely Aire on a stable facility. The owner was friendly and helpful. Lovely to sit out and admire the views. At the minute one tap serves the 3 gravel pitches, but in the future each pitch is to get its own water tap and black water facility. A train line lies at the bottom of the field but it was not a disturbance. Fifteen minute walk in to Thornhill on a very quiet road. Highly recommended.

This lovely site is open. The previous reviewer did not phone as instructed. To access the site ring the owner. The gate is closed as there are animals within the farm. The best road in is to turn right in the centre of Thornhill(if coming from the south) Do not follow satnavs to the narrow road north of the village.

Es ist immer wieder schade, da will man schön in der Natur stehen, macht sich die Mühe und fährt über sehr schlecht ausgebaute Straßen zu einem Stellplatz wie diesen hier, und dann wie so häufig, verschlossen mit einem Bauzaun. Wenn man schon keinen Stellplatz mehr anbietet, dann bitte hier einen entsprechende Eintragung machen.

Great stop just north of Dumfries. Very friendly owner who accommodated us with 10 minutes notice. Clean, tidy and secure with fresh water, electric hook up and bins. Close to town for shops, pub etc. Great to sit and watch the horses interacting. Highly recommended.

A great little Aire for 3-4 motorhomes, with fantastic views. Beside a working stabling facility, so plenty of animal life to look at - horses, of course, pretty tame sheep, rabbits everywhere, and inquisitive chickens. The owner, Sharon is a very pleasant, helpful lady and keen to keep improving the facility. Well worth a stop-over.

Great little Aire, friendly host, EHU, grey/black waste and fresh water, level pitches. Might need to level off if over 7mtrs.

What an amazing host. We arrived very late and we’re all knackered coz the little one was on it. Such a beautiful spot and had a great night sleep. 100% a must stop spot. Come in on the road heading north west. Much less potholes than the way our sat nav sent us.

Excellent rural location, but still walking distance to a lovely little town. Hosts are fantastically friendly & helpful. Fresh eggs also delicious !

Great new Aire close to Thornhill. Shaz the owner cant do enough for you. The walk to town is 1.1 miles and has pavement all the way so very safe. Take a torch in winter darkness. We will be back !

A lovely relaxing evening watching a glorious sunset after a few days on the road. It's great to see these small sites with the essential amenities popping up. A very welcoming lady running this site and only too willing to offer advice and chat about the area. I wish her all the best of luck in her new venture. Sel Manteaux.

just arrived in our 7.5mtr long van not sure if we came along the correct road but no problems (a very narrow road) room for 4 vans electric, water and waste and the views are fantastic. 1 mile to the local village. lovely lady running the site.

Lovely family-run mini campsite. Very clean, quiet, nice view, small soccer field for children. And the area around is very nice as well with walks in the forest and a lovely village. Thank you :-)

Great spot for walking into Thornhill. Had 2 quiet nights here. Nice lady, nothing was a bother.
