free lay by. set up for the night backed up to a wall. busy road but free with no restrictions. next to the river. much quieter at night.

TankGirlT9013/08/2024Stayed 1 night Saturday/ Sunday in August. This road turns into a racetrack as Matlock Bath is the place to be if you have a fast or shiny vehicle to show off with. Traffic went on all night. During the day,super busy. Convenient for launch point for kayaking.

Stayed last night following other recommendations. Great spot. Although road is a 40 zone, few racers throughout the night. Odd car going past, but will definitely stay again if needed. Managed to sleep all night. Short walk to the main high street
gemmal14/05/2023stayed here last night was lovely next to the water and grassy area. there is a lovely walk up to high tour with incredible views and bluebell and buttercup fields. a little noisy with cars going by through the night other than that this is a fantastic spot we would definitely come back highly recommend thank you Matlock

A nice location right next to the river , yes on the road, but nice and has a littler bin. We have mk7 jumbo and had to park lengthways so don’t think you would get two here at the same time unless the other was small.
