First Camp Ekudden – Mariestad is a scenic campsite by Lake Vänern, surrounded by oak groves, pine forests, and shore meadows teeming with wildlife. The campsite offers spacious pitches for motorhomes and caravans, with four modern service buildings featuring toilets, showers, baby changing facilities, and even a dog shower. A short walk through the nature reserve takes you to Mariestad’s inner harbor, where you’ll find charming restaurants, shops, and boat trips on Lake Vänern.

A peaceful campsite surrounded by nature, with spacious pitches and Dutch owners! The campsite is located directly on the crystal-clear Lake Vättern, with a beautiful, wide sandy beach: ideal for swimming and relaxing. There are several pitches with stunning lake views (320 m²), suitable for caravans, campervans, and tents. There are also separate paved campervan pitches (320 m²), pitches further from the lake (300 m²), and tent pitches (170 m²). The campsite has two restrooms and kitchens that are cleaned several times a day. During peak season, the reception is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Arriving later? Book online now, and we'll leave an information envelope at the reception door). There's also a small shop with basic necessities, ice cream, and fresh bread rolls in the morning. The campsite is situated on a hillside with unique, level pitches, some of which are paved, offering stunning views – a favorite among motorhome travelers! Here, you can camp with your motorhome, caravan, or tent and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Strömstad town center, with shopping, restaurants, and activities, is nearby, and ferries to the Koster Islands make day trips easy.
