Aire de stationnement pour le ferry calmac de Barra à uists ... étonnamment agréable pour un port de ferry. Belles vues. Super café avec toilettes et salle d'attente chaleureuse ouverte même lorsque le magasin est fermé. Bacs disponibles. Quelques petites balades aux alentours. Je passerais la nuit ici

Parkplatz für die Calmac-Fähre von Barra nach Uists ... überraschend schön für einen Fährhafen. Schöne Aussichten. Tolles Café mit Toiletten und warmem Wartebereich, der auch bei geschlossenem Geschäft geöffnet ist. Mülleimer vorhanden. Ein paar kleine Spaziergänge herum. Würde hier übernachten

Stayed as catching the first ferry of the day at 7am....checked with staff and they said it shouldn't be a problem. keep it stealth and dont abuse it and you should be ok. Toilets and bonus of a great cafe that appears to open quite early, about 8am I think.
The vans parked here are relief Calmac crew & known to islanders. The ferry waiting room door is locked automatically at 730pm...reopens at 630am it is now checked every night by coffee shop kiosk owner due to vandalism & people blocking open the door. I know because aswell as being a motorhome owner, I live on the island.
I parked here overnight last night before getting the ferry this morning. I checked with the ferry crew who said it was fine to stay overnight. It was very quiet and I was the only van staying but there were a few cars in the carpark. The toilets were closed overnight but open for the first ferry at 0700.
Confirmed with staff this isn’t to be used as overnight parking. Area must be cleared they said
A surprisingly beautiful car park, with excellent views and visiting sheep. Toilet was available all night, but only because the door was propped open. Quiet and floodlit. Good spot if you have an early ferry to catch.
Arrived today, thinking we’d have toilet access before our ferry tomorrow, but can’t get into the waiting room, door is locked
Spent the night end of January because of ferry cancellation due to severe weather. Waiting area remained open so had access to toilets and also a plug socket (2x13a and 2xusb). Area is floodlit at night. It’s exposed to the elements (which i like).
Local police confirmed this place is gd for free parking. It's really nice place to park. Toilets & bins here too. Excellent coffee & baked goods. Lovely little walks around. Can be quite windy at edges of car park. Picnic tables here too.
