Great place if need somewhere close to Manchester, we arrived late on, parked up n had a goodnight sleep with no hassle. Suspect plenty of activity further round however no harm to any one

Carpark at the end of the lane had none of the collection of folk looking for nocturnal action! 2 other vans parked up when I arrived at 11pm, the odd coming and goings from young folk in cars but then around 2am I was woken up as the van was been shook luckily it was undamaged however next morning saw the guy in the next van clean the outside so think he had fallen victim to graffiti!

The first car park near Tree Tops Cafe has a section at the back which is gated from 5pm until early. We stayed there for a Fri/Sat night. Comings and goings all night, but no-one bothered us. Cafe has an outdoor tap, and toilets available. Great spot for Parkrun, wild swimming and the Metro into Manchester

Drive down the end towards the watersports centre and it's a bit quieter. About 3 other vans last night. Definitely a dogging area but they didn't bother us! lovely walks. Cheap cafe. Toilets. Would stay again.

Great place feels pretty safe. It is a dogging area but there is no trouble and it’s bright with some cctv. Really nice view and toilets 9am till 5pm and an on site cafe.

Lovely quiet spot, toilets opened by 10. Police came in and out a lot however paid no attention to us.

There's alot of comings and goings which doesn't bother me too much as long as other people don't bother me and nothing too crazy going on however, twice I had a car with a guy (2 diff guys) get out and walk round my van looking in, not sure if it's a dogging carpark or something but definitely didn't feel safe for a female on her own. Had to leave at 2am!

Great spot with lovely views of the lake. Lots of dog walkers and watersports people early am but didn't bother us. M’way just behind, but we didn't really hear it. We parked in the overflow car park by the lake. Toilets available, not sure if open 24hrs. Had a lovely walk around the lake in the morning.

Beautiful view and lovely vibes. Little bit of road noise but worth it for the view. Public loos available too.

ottimo parcheggio per visitare la città notte tranquillafermata del tram a 5 minuti a piedi

Great spot with lovely views of the lake. Lots of dog walkers early am into the early pm. M’way just behind but it’s like white noise. Got a knock on the window by police to check I was ok, gave me thumbs up when I asked if ok to stay the night. Parked in the lower car park by boathouse - toilets available ,not sure if open 24hrs. kids came to play music til quite late, quiet after midnight.

Drove all the way down, past the cafe almost to the restaurant. On the right there’s a large parking lot, was nearly empty & silent on 9pm on a Friday night. Woken up around 9am by a dog barking, as it’s a very busy spot for dog walkers. But didn’t bother us. Great spot for one night.

A large area next to the metro station cafe nearby closed when we were on site cars coming and going all night didn't bother us. You can go further down the lane to 2 large lakes that may be quieter down there

the car park opposite the cafe which provides toilets and bins is used for dogging and its extremely active!! no height restrictions. the car park up by the pub is better as it has cameras and is next to the lake but it gets extremely busy from 7am right up to 9pm. beautiful place and I stayed for 2 nights with no drama other than doggers!!

Very nice little park up. I arrived on the bank holiday Sunday and still found parking. However,I did only give it a 4 just because not racers kept doing Donuts and in the woods close by the metro stop, we met some interesting characters. So glad there are plenty of cameras and the restaurant close by is a huge relief. Still would come back though :)

We stayed there the nights of the 4th and 5th. Just as reported we were not disappointed. A great spot and very central. Train very close in case you want to stop and train into Manchester.

Perfect place to stop if you don't mind noise from locals at night. Friendly safe area. The business actually makes you feel safer while in city areas. Also a cafe and pub and toilets nearby. Loads of space and multiple different areas to park, so good chance you will find a spot to yourself. Some ares are even covered by cameras

Feels pretty rural considering you're next to the M60. Bit of road noise as expected but nothing that would hinder sleep. Nice and quiet all night. Cracking sunrise in the morning. Decent stopover

Very large car park next to lakes. restaurant and toilets in car park . would have been ideal stop over if it had not been for locals in cars racing up and down car park till 0345 then one decided to drive round with his horn beeping at 4am . another problem M60 really noisy. apart from that ok if kids dont bother you
