Lovely spot by the river with lots of walks nearby. Very peaceful overnight. No internet signal on smarty and sky but was fine for one night. Very nice pub just down the road.
Parking pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 3 camping-cars. Route tranquille. Accès étroit mais avec passages. Aucun signe pour restreindre la durée du séjour. Idéal parc haut. 500m d'un pub. Idéal pour marcher.
Parking area for up to 3 motorhomes. Quiet road. Access Narrow but with passing places. No signs to restrict length of stay. Ideal park up. 500m to a pub. Great for walking.
Parkplatz für bis zu 3 Wohnmobile. Ruhige Straße. Zugang Eng, aber mit Durchgangsplätzen. Keine Schilder zur Einschränkung der Aufenthaltsdauer. Ideal parken. 500m zu einer Kneipe. Toll zum Wandern.
Aparcamiento para hasta 3 autocaravanas. Camino tranquilo. Acceso estrecho pero con pasajes. No hay señales para restringir la duración de la estadía. Ideal parque alto. 500 metros de un pub. Ideal para caminar.
Lovely spot by the river with lots of walks nearby. Very peaceful overnight. No internet signal on smarty and sky but was fine for one night. Very nice pub just down the road.
Very nice and quiet spot! I stayed a second night, because the area is perfect for long walks in all directions. All around nature and nice neighbors in others vans ;)
great spot. definitely fitting the description
Absolute treasure for level and peaceful stay in nature along side a stream. No reception/wifi unless you walk to the pub or climb high! Various places to park up.
Nice peaceful spot along a narrow dead-end road big enough for four vehicles. Quite level. We slept well and awoke to birdsong. Lots of beautiful walks and the Monsal Trail cycle route close by. Nice pub a mile or so back along the road.
Single track road with passing places but not many cars use it. Definitely worth a visit. Very quiet and completely submerged in nature. Usual walkers and climbers about in the morning. Two more vans pulled up after us. All in all a very quiet, lovely spot. Nice mile walk back to the pub for some lovely food too.
One of our favourite spots to camp in peak district. Beautiful walks around. Can sit and listen to the birds or watch the ducks play in the river. Signal spontaneous. Climbers and hikers at the weekends but weekdays not many visitors . Would recommend if you want to stay in nature
We stayed here for one night, 2 other campers and a couple of cars parked up (walkers), they were gone by 9pm. Lots of public footpaths around, lovely little star trap! We didn’t have signal on 02, however if you walk a little in either direction you can get one!
really quiet. no litter whatsoever and hardly any passing traffic. we had 1 car pull up next to us in the morning for a dog walk. Good pub down the road too
Beautiful location with lots of varied walks. We stayed for two nights. No facilities but signal fine. Plenty of room.
Beautiful quiet spot with no signal.
lovely quiet spot, 1 mile from a pub, closer to monsal trail
lovely quiet spot , great for walkers . very minimal traffic . had 2 other vans rock up late evening . Good mobile signal for Vodafone and EE
Spent one night with 3 other campers parked up. Space is a bit cosy but all of our neighbours were nice. Fairly level, very patchy internet/signal. Bit of traffic on the road, but very nice and quiet night. Public footpaths for nice walks and definitely recommend the bicycle track leading to Bakewell. We had the best Bakewell tarts ever. Better with a small camper van as the road is tight.
quiet out of way site
spent a night here, it was so peaceful and a perfect base for walks. It is only a fairly small space and we were the third campervan to arrive, by the end of the night there were five vans/motorhomes. We witnessed what looked like a rather irate local taking a photo of everyone's vehicles even though the area was looked after and left completely free of any litter
Lovely, quiet, nice walks. Stayed 2 nights I absolute peace. Leave no trace.
A gorgeous spot. Parked up a little further along the lane so we could be right by the river. It is a beautiful cold dip/swim. The local pub is cosy and welcoming. One of us had 4G and the other didn’t. We will definitely return here for a peaceful get away.
Parking très serrer surtout si vous y aller un jour où il fait beau/ en week-end ou période de vacances. Le chemin pour y arriver et très très serrer avec notre fourgon ont à eu du mal surtout quand d'autre voiture en face arrive.
stunning place. been twice in the past three weeks en route to and from Cumbria. peaceful nights sleep both times. busy parking spot for walkers but no bother from anyone. would highly recommend Great WiFi on EE but no mobile signal.
Peaceful place , mobile signal with ee, no facilities , but great walks on your doorstep and a pub down the road .
Good spot. But, no signal!
Nice and quiet. cars until 10pm but quiet there after. during rain its obvious this place can flood as there is a stream running through the middle of it. something to be wary of
A little further up the road so I could be closer to the water. beautiful little spot & not very busy.
lovely quiet spot in great place, space for 3 campervans, flat, gravel, plenty walks around, river, Monsal Trial, pub walking distance, very weak internet signal, no bin
great location with good amount of space. very quiet at night and no one disturbed us.
A perfect example of what off grid living is. We stayed one night and it was very quiet, safe and there was only one van next to us. It has access to the monsal trail either side of this little gem spot. We thoroughly enjoyed here and would return again!
Loved this little stopover. Felt secluded and safe. A few walkers passing by. One other can joined me later on.
Ok. Picture makes this place looker much larger. It is not. I arrived late and there were 4 campers crammed in. The main road leading to this depending on which way you enter has a sharp left turn - I could not make the turn in a 6.36 metre van. I had to go up and turn around. The actual narrow track leading to this is nearly 1 mile long - a few passing places but OMG low level trees and branches. Don’t go up it in a nice new van. If you do make it good Vodafone and EE signal.
Pretty flat, secluded, next to a nice river that you can access a bit further up the road. Can climb up to a meadow on a hill with great feed from the spot. Plenty of room, very quiet, super pretty spot!
Beautiful spot. Some traffic to Litton Mill during the day but absolutely silent at night. 2 other vans overnight. Lots of walks and climbs from the door and a cracking pub 10 mins walk along the lane.
Lovely spot, quiet enough even on BH. lots of walkers in the day, but just a couple of vans overnight. It's the last parking spot on the lane to Litton Mill. About a mile to The Angler's pub at Millers Dale. no services. A footpath behind leads up to Tideswell Dale. Loads of lovely walks from here eg Monsal Trail & quieter Limestone Way.
Although this spot is perfect for a quiet night, for those who pull in late and sleep straight away, for us it was very different, we was driven away by flying bugs, couldn’t even tell you what they are called, just know there are loads.
to get here look for Litton Mill via Litton Mill approach. Nice walks great birdsong and owl's ! sign says national trust Ravenstor!
Great spot. Peaceful nights sleep and only 1 other van. Plenty of space for around 4/5. Lovely walks all around. 0 phone signal.
Great spot, stayed in the main parking area however a few other pull-in along the way (don't park in the passing places). Hardly any phone signal except on top of the Tor. Great spot for climbing as bolted crags a few hundred meters away. This is a 10/10 spot and they are becoming rarer. Leave it better than you found it and be as respectful as possible.
Superb stop over. Beautiful place. Bit narrow getting in, there are several passing places so no worries if someone is coming the other way, we were fine in our LWB Sprinter. Safe and peaceful night. O2 phone signal was weak outside the van and non existent inside the van. We also have wifi (motorhome wifi) with an EE SIM card which, as ever, had no issues at all and had a full signal.
wonderful place, water, trees, walking and the locals all smiling. the angler pub was a gem. well
Very lovely little park up but extremely busy both day and night. Four vans staying overnight and the parking completely full all day. Would not go again on a weekend/summer. If just to stop locals getting annoyed! Very quiet sleep, the pub down the road is decent and the walks around are lovely.
great little parkup with amazing views and a few lovely walks to take. didn't go, but there is a pub about 20 mins walk away. very peaceful night.
To say it was Easter weekend there was still a spot for my giant camper. Perfectly quiet, beautiful walks and a pub just down the road. The road can be tight and there is a very sharp bend turning onto the lane but if I got past it anyone can.
Great little spot. The lane is very quite, great walks, walked 40 minutes into tideswell in the morning.
Great spot, we stayed at the bit near the climbing wall a little further towards the mill. Easter weekend so busy during the day but there was still spaces at the actual location on here. Lovely walks around the area and the monsal trail is just on the other side of the river. Will defo come back again
nice little quiet spot at Ravens Tor. locals road but very little traffic. right by a stream, and a few walks right at your door. pretty much flat and could fit 4/5 vans at a stretch. a few other spots just up the road towards the pub, near the climbing wall.
Nice, but no signal on 3 which is a deal breaker for me. Had a nice 2 mile walk and the pubs right on the river. Didn't stay.
Great little park up. Please don’t leave litter or toilet stuff if you stop here.
Lovely spot. Very quiet with only the occasional car before 11pm. Pub is about 20 minute walk away and the food and beer were very good.
Good spot but very wet and muddy. It was windy so we wanted a little shelter. EE4G was intermittent and dropped out many times. Woke in the morning to discover the entire left side of this area had become a river which was flowing under our camper! I will add a photo as it was not there when we parked up do please do be careful in wet weather. Would be great in the summer.
great peg for the night, quiet, by stream, pub is more than 500m though i think
Nice park up spot, narrow dead end lane to get down with hair pin bend at entrance from Bakewell end but fine for medium sized van. The roads signposted dead end and a village development there with cottages/ mill so its busy with cars passing till 10pmish plus lots cars pull up/ visit till then but generally peaceful with fab walks up the gorge valley and along river. Dont park in passing places
Good stop over.. no issues…
Great stopover 31/10/21 ,we were the only ones there , a few cars on the way to the mill at end of road, but all quiet by 1030pm , full 4G on virgin network too. *caution* if heavy rain is due try not to park to left of lay-by, we woke up with a fair sized stream under our camper and had to make a fast exit.
Lovely spot! really quiet and peaceful, an occasional car passes. but mostly level. no phone signal.
Update. Spent a very quiet night there. Very flat site. Pub is probably more like 1 km away. I will certainly use it again.
