Another couple of nights @ this fab stopover. Field a bit soggy but we got there. X6 bus into town every half hour handy for me heading to the rugy and a great result for Sco to boot. Then a short drive this morning to tick a wee hike up Arthur's Seat off my list. Thanks again Stuart - great host! And to Gilexa for the help & chat!

  • 5/5

Well, what more can be said than others have already said, this deserves WAY more than 5 stars. This is a lovely wee site, and Stuart (the owner) is a very lovely guy, so easy to chat to and he offers any help needed. The area IS mostly grass, so might be a bit slippy in the wet, but if you’re a careful driver and don’t spin your wheels, you should be fine. Highly recommended.

We couldn't get on the field as it was so wet at this time of year so please take this into consideration, I would avoid altogether in the winter time to be honest

  • 5/5

Stayed here recently, the field was wet and boggy so we talked with the host and parked on the dead end road outside the field. For a donation we filled up with water and dumped our toilet waste. Very helpful owner and a good place to stop over.

  • 5/5

Excellent little spot, stayed for a couple nights and went into Edinburgh. Has a good bus connection just down the road that is a 5 min walk. Takes about 30 mins to get into the center of Edinburgh. Stuart, who owns the property is super nice and made sure we had power and water.

  • 5/5

Excellent spot. Easy to find and good links to Edinburgh. As mentioned by many , very friendly , helpful owner. Great for a night stopover. If we weren't short for time, would definitely stay longer.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

This is a lovely little site and Graeme is really friendly and helpful. We got the train from Wallyford into Edinburgh in only 10 minutes. The station is about a 15 minute walk. Lovely summerhouse for relaxing too.

  • 5/5

I've been to this lovely little quirky site a number of times and can't fault it. It's basic but for £10 it has everything you need, a composting loo, a waste disposal and water to fill up. both hosts are lovely and chatty which always makes it a delight to go back.

Siamo stati 2 notti,FAVOLOSO!Il proprietario è davvero attento e gentile. Edimburgo comodissimo!Consiglio

Hemos estado 2 noches, perfecto!

  • 3/5

Pro: parcheggio non a vista e bel paesaggio. Contro: camper troppo vicini (eravamo solo due camper), scarico WC lontano 50 metri da carico acqua. Nessuno scarico acque grigie. Parcheggio in pendenza.

Excellent rapport qualité-prix.

Brilliant wee spot !! Myself and my small dog stayed here last night and camped in the back of my Landrover. I left £8 in the shelf in the sitootery for some goods we bought . Thank you Stuart for having us . We'll be back Warm regards Jemima & Joey the whipppy Skippy lurcher

  • 5/5

Spent 3 nights here over the Jubilee weekend. As mentioned in previous reviews, had a lovely experience with absolutely fantastic hosts. Very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend and value for money.

  • 5/5

Brilliant, two nights here, perfect stop off to explore Edinburgh which is about 30 minutes on the 104 bus. There is a bit of road noise but didn’t bother us at all. Met some lovely fellow campers as well as the owners who are fantastic. Like everyone else, we’ll be back for sure.

  • 5/5

So pleased that we found this place. Stayed 3 night, so close to Edinburgh, close to bus route and train in to Edinburgh. Traffic noise calms down during the evening. Ideal little spot

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

excellent little aire. owners very friendly and helpful. very handy for walk into Mussleburgh & bus into Edinburgh. Will definitely be back.

  • 5/5

Spent a lovely evening here by the fire chatting with Stuart. All very basic, but for £10 a night is a perfect spot to stop over. Was pretty cold, so can imagine it would be even better in the summer.

  • 5/5

Lovely place to stay just off the A1 but shielded from traffic noise. Gillian and Stuart are very friendly and welcoming hosts. Fabulous views out over the Forth. Half hour walk to Levenhall. Thanks, I'll be back.

  • 5/5

Fantastic spot with great hosts right next to the motorway for east access. We arrived late at night and Gillian and Stuart welcomed us with open arms, showed us the site and helped us empty our waste. Field was too wet so we parked outside and Stuart refused payment because we weren’t using the field. What a gentleman! Would highly recommend this site and would use it again.

  • 5/5

Another couple of nights as a wee pitstop for the rugby. 104 bus just along road to Haymarket and then caught a 31 to Murrayfield with an all day ticket. Walked back to Edinburgh and had a lovely wee Greek snack at Ola Kala then return bus. Hassle free!

  • 5/5

Two nights on 28/09/21. Excellent stop. Made to feel very welcome. Nice little cabin to sit out in, and composting toilet facilities. Bus is a 5 min walk to catch into Edinburgh, took approx 20-25 mins and went on late into night. Will return on next Edinburgh visit.

  • 5/5

These guys are absolutely amazing!! 10/10. £10 for the night, plus place to empty waste, fresh water and great hospitality!! ps... the dogs are so cute!!! would highly recommend a scratch n cuddle x

  • 5/5

A great spot. friendly welcome from Stuart. Great location, just off the A1. Hardly any traffic noise, to say you are so close. Great walk into Musselburgh & the Esk River. Very dog friendly.

  • 5/5

Great hosts, ideal set up for a few campers. Would definitely recommend.

  • 5/5

Lovely aire, an oasis of calm to the east of Edinburgh £10 donation per unit per night Electric available Little loo, disposal and fresh water . Nice sun lounge to use with small crafts for sale and books and kids toys Seating area with fire pit to use Walking distance of bus and train to Fife Edinburgh Carry outs snd small grocery shop in village

  • 5/5

A brilliant find! Stuart and Gillian were wonderful hosts, the site was sheltered and had amazing sunsets, and the bus to Edinburgh was just a few hundred metres away. Playing Kubbe, and sitting round the firepit chatting made it much more than just a good stopover for Edinburgh. Do visit if you are in the area.

  • 5/5

Really lovely couple, hookup, waste dump and a creative little cabin to sit in if you're not by the firepit. Thank you so much for such a nice stop over! we'll see you again.

  • 5/5

Fantastic site, owners super helpful and welcoming, garden room with comfy seats, books games etc. Outside fire pit and seating. Lovely walks on the door step. We paid 12.50 for night with EHU. No one around when we left so we hid money under cat door stop which I hope they found x

  • 5/5

Fabulous wee site. Very handy for Edinburgh. Owners are fabulous. There is even a wee summerhouse with crafts for sale, fire pit the lot. Really enjoy when I use this site.

  • 5/5

Exactly as described. Fabulous find. Will return
