It's no longer possible to stay in your van overnight. I asked for permission as per the latest regulations and received this response: The Council would not give permission for anyone parking and sleeping in the car park. The wording is such that if the Council wanted to change their position in the future we could do so. I'll keep trying to change their minds because this is a great spot.
great value.Public toilet top of car park next to Morrisons and post office. battle town is along the footpath The tap room bar was a local brewery.Very cheap beer!! Lovely old fashioned butchers . 2nd visit only down side. Not level anywhere.
Great spot to go explore the Abbey and the little town of Battle! Parking is now £4.20 for the day ?
Lovely town with fantastic restaurant Trinity of Battle. Best meal in UK so far.

Paid for two spaces, one on Ringo app the other from the machine. £3:00 on each. Not busy this time of year and it does say MH parking allowed.
The signage at this spot is ambiguous if MHs are allowed so I contacted Hastings parking enforcement. They only deal with on street parking & agreed that 1hr limits on High St were insufficient & that the town does need more MH parking! But they checked & confirmed that MHs can park here with overhang. Positive conversation and the issue of lack of spots will be raised at a forthcoming meeting!
