We had 4 of us in 2 vans in mid-november. Windy and a little wet but that’s on us for touring this time of year. Beautiful setting, welcoming owner and perfectly idyllic. Sheep grazing nearby and the sound of the water running as you sleep. Couldn’t really ask for much more for £7 per night. Nice little rings set up with stones to have campfires so was easy enough to keep warm in the cold. Perfect
Spent a very quiet couple of nights here. Very basic facilities in the form of a portaloo. Location is stunning with great walks.
cracking little stop over, logs available from the farm across the road where you pay. porta loos x2 in first field second field has river running through it and stone fire pits on edge of river. The river is not too deep here and perfect for kids to go in whilst supervised. very quiet spot slept right through. nearest place for supply's would be Usha Gap Campsite shop or Hawes.
absolutely beautiful. stayed here last night hardly any traffic very quiet at night. x2 portaloos now reasonably clean. me and the kids walked up the hill to the farmhouse and posted money through the letterbox as farmer out. no signal what so ever. quite alot of midges but what do you expect next to the river. definitely will stay here again!
Great place , could not fault it . Owners were lovely . There’s a portaloo in the bottom field and there’s an outside tap at the farm house to use . No phone signal but I was given the WiFi password to contact family . Next to the river . Great views too. Can’t go wrong for £7 pp
No frills campsite in a beautiful location. £7 per person. Just a portaloo and a river to wash in. So pretty wild! I collared the farmer and gave him my money but you might want to pop into the farm house before you park up. Once you get to the gate you can’t really turn round….and go back up the hill to pay.
I was the only van there! Very remote, spot by the river which I had a paddle in the morning. Stunning. No phone signal on EE. Portaloo in the way of facilities. Put money through letterbox of farm in the morning.
First time in this area and even just the drive here was beautiful. Stunning location with direct access to the river which me and my 2 year old loved paddling in. No one was around to take payment but another camper directed me to just up the road to a farmhouse where I posted my money through the letterbox. Will definitely stay here again.
Die ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ sagen alles. Ein toller Platz an einem kleinen Bachlauf, umgeben von toller Natur. Mehrere Feuerstellen am Platz. Feuerholz kann beim Besitzer gekauft werden. Zwei Dixis waren vor Ort die auch einigermaßen sauber waren. Ansonsten keine V/E. 6£/ Person/ Nacht völlig ok. Zufahrt über eine enge Steinbrücke. Für Kastenwagen ok, längere und breitere Womos werden es schwer haben.
Great spot for Keld and walks to Ravenseat and Tan Hill. £6 each not too bad. Paid up the road to nice lady who give us sound walking advice. Slept soundly.
Beautiful little spot at such a reasonable price. We were the only ones there on a Friday night too! No one at the farmhouse in the evening or the next morning, so we left money on the doorstep with a note! Highly recommended.
Great place to stay, only one portaloo but cleanest one I've ever seen. £6 per person and in the middle of nowhere. stunning place to stay with fire pits alongside the river.
We stayed here with friends and loved it, very quiet and peaceful, minimal traffic on the road opposite with only the noice from the river. I think we've found our new getaway ❤️
I absolutely loved staying here, so quiet all you could hear was the river. Friendly farmers where you pay up the road. Solo female and felt very safe, I will definitely be back.
Lovely place to stay overnight. Nice and peaceful. We would definitely come back again. There was a Portaloo on site and you can buy wood for the fire pit for a fiver.
We stayed here Saturday 26th, what a lovely little spot, so peaceful and quiet, fantastic nights sleep, surrounded by nature. There’s no proper facilities and we eaten by midges in the night and morning, that was the only downfall but we were right on the river.
