Height barriers open on our morning visit to walk along the beach and the abbey. Signs stating no overnight. Very quiet only a few people around. Unsure on height barrier situation as the other parking area before here has them in closed position.
Ende September, kann man mit dem Camper hier problemlos parken. Es gibt ein paar einklappbare Schranken für Höhenbegrenzung. Allerdings sind die aktuell nicht in Verwendung. So breit wie die Einfahrt auf den Parkplatz ist, kann mir nicht so wirklich vorstellen, wie diese Schranken den Parkplatz absperren sollten. Die Schilder, dass die Straße nicht für Camper geeignet wäre, haben wir ignoriert.
Great place but both carparks have 1.9M height restrictions so impossible to park. staff grumpy! 1st carpark is huge so don't understand the issue
Sehr schade, dass auf dem Weg zum Parkplatz erst nach ein paar Kilometer "kleinen" Strassen fahren ein Schild kommt was besagt, dass die Strasse nicht für Camper Vans befahrbar. Es geht nicht darum ob es evtl doch geht, sondern dass man sich dann den Weg dann generell sparen könnte. Das lässt sich besser lösen liebe Gemeinde!
Blimin' luvly spot. Nice 8km loop walk, too. Flat parking spots, too. However, there was a sign up the road saying the road isn't suitable for canpervans? I'm not sure why, apart from the 1st carpark having a height restriction, and perhaps too many campervans swamp this carpark in the summer? Toilets are not too far, which has the disabled toilet open all year. The others opened today. 05/24.

Beautiful beach, abbey ruins and Abbey Island walk, and the historical Derrynane House. This is the only non-hight restricted parking at the beach. Hope it will not get gated because some campers take 4 spots
Accès délicat, et possibilité de parking aléatoire le midi en pleine saison.
Deux plages sympas avec ambiance familiale, baignade agréable et club de voile. Seul souci : panneau : "No overnight parking. Clamping in operation. Release fee 250 euros."
Don’t follow sat nav down road signposted before Caherdaniel as very narrow and not suitable for larger vans. Very little passing room.
Grand parking plat face a une superbe plage de sable blanc. Mérite plus que "juste pour la nuit" !! Ne pas rater le parc (gratuit) de la Derryne house.
