Ein schöner Platz für eine Nacht, hat uns besser gefallen, als der Campingplatz in der Nähe. Absolut ruhig in der Nacht, morgens natürlich ein paar Autos und Spaziergänger. Würden wiederkommen.
Parking View Point avec deux places de stationnement réservées aux camping-cars. Stationnement et aire d'observation de Whistlefield. Belle vue sur les collines. C'est à dix minutes à pied du village avec des plats à emporter, des supérettes, etc.

It's a ten minute walk down into the village with takeaways, convenience stores etc.
Parkplatz View Point mit zwei ausgewiesenen Wohnmobilstellplätzen. Whistlefield Parkplatz und Beobachtungsbereich. Schöne Aussicht auf die Hügel. Es ist zehn Minuten zu Fuß in das Dorf mit Imbissbuden, Lebensmittelgeschäften usw.

ChuggyPig06/10/2025A good off-road spot with a view. There are 2 allocated spaces for motorhomes, but this doesn't seem to be very strict! We had a nice quiet night, with the only passer by being a stag! It did get busy in the morning with truck drivers stopping over and the local school buses using it as a waiting area, but there was plenty of room. Quite a lot of light pollution at night, but this can be handy.

Toffe locatie voor een nachtje. Parking biedt genoeg plaats, wij waren hier met 3 omgebouwde vans en een auto. Mooi uitzicht over het water. Dorpje met Spar en enkele eetgelegenheden ligt op 2 min rijden. Doorheen de nacht redelijk rustig, soms komt er eens een auto de parking opgereden maar voor de rest viel de rust goed mee. Wij hebben alleszins goed geslapen.
FransEef19/06/2025Een prima plaats om te overnachten. Het dorpje is op ongeveer 20 min wandelen en heeft een kleine Spar. We verbleven hier met 4 campers. Er was meer dan voldoende plaats. wij zijn bijna 7 meter. ver verwijderd van de drukte van Loch Lomond

2 ausgewiesene Wohnmobilplätze die allerdings schräg sind, daher blieben wir oben stehen. Die Aussicht ist fabelhaft, es gibt Mülleimer aber leider wie überall trotzdem sehr vermüllt! Für die Nacht vollkommen ok!

Intending winding our way down through to Campbeltown so this was an ideal overnight halt only 10 mins off the main route we were headed. Two designated motorhome spots plus other parking, picnic bench, woodland, bins. Found it quiet at night, clean and tidy with good views over the Gairloch. Well recommended, fantastic free space.

Vue parfaite et deux tables de pique-nique à disposition. Attention, il n’y a que deux places pour les camping-cars. Les autres sont réservés pour les Voitures

Spectacular view of Gare Loch. The two motor home spaces are currently filled with heaps of sand and gravel, surrounded by a temporary fence. We parked on the opposite side of the car park, where the view of the loch is better. Some light traffic on Friday afternoon.

Rene3318/05/2023Correct pour passer une nuit, mais sans plus. On est en vue de la route, donc sécurité faible. En revanche peu de trafic donc on dort correctement.
bontheroadnl24/04/2023Used it for a quick stop to have an online meeting. Was the only one there. No facilities except 2 bins and a picknick table with great views. Possibility to stay overnight. Road is not too busy.

Had a lovely night's sleep, spacious,clean,lovely walk for dogs,picnic tables,refuse bins,nice view through the trees,far enough from road not to disturb as traffic free thro night and just a distant rumble of a train which also ceases later ..great for a stopover.

Decent sleep, I arrived early hours in the morning two motorhome spots on a slope though, was a quiet peaceful night people arrived in morning around 9:30am walking dogs etc, the view point isn’t any good unless you like looking into trees 15 meters ahead of you, there’s a bin but no other facilities

Lovely carpark with 2 dedicated camper spot's. Stayed here one night, arrived there was road work vehicles parked up but didn't look as though carpark itself was getting worked on. So I chanced it Several benchs with nice views, expecially at night with the stars. Great sleep but early rise to some friendly workers, they are working on the road about 50ft down from the park up.
