Un si bel endroit caché. Un joli parc (nous avions un enfant de 1 et 6 ans avec nous). Une petite rivière peu profonde longe un sentier pédestre. Aucun problème ou restriction lors du stationnement pendant la nuit, quartier très calme et terrain solide.
Such a lovely spot that is tucked away. A nice park( we had a 1 and 6 year old with us). A small shallow river runs along by with a walking trail. No issues or restrictions when parking over night, very quiet area and solid ground.
So ein schöner Ort, der versteckt ist. Ein schöner Park (wir hatten einen 1 und 6 Jahre bei uns). Ein kleiner flacher Fluss fließt mit einem Wanderweg vorbei. Keine Probleme oder Einschränkungen beim Parken über Nacht, sehr ruhige Gegend und fester Boden.
Un hermoso lugar escondido. Un bonito parque (teníamos un niño de 1 y 6 años con nosotros). Un río pequeño y poco profundo corre a lo largo de un sendero. No hay problema ni restricción a la hora de aparcar durante la noche, zona muy tranquila y terreno firme.

very large off road car park on site of recreation park. no prohibition signs. adjpining walks. went with friend and a dog as passing through durham on way to scotland. lots of nearby shops and good access to durham by car and buses.

En effet, un endroit parfait pour la nuit. Très très calme. Très beau. Nous étions deux campers. Notre fourgon de 6 m est passé. La petite route d’accès est vraiment cachée et étroite. Pas de service, il faut être autonome.
Fantastic stop over here , car park set in a small country park , kids play area and a river running by it , Dog loved it . very quiet on the 2 nights we stayed , one other camper each night . Bins on site but nothing else. highly recommend
Très bel espace pour passer la nuit. Suivre l'indication Holliday Park. Nous n'étions que deux véhicules à y passer la nuit. Calme à part le passage de quelques trains et la route, mais suffisamment en retrait pour que ce ne soit pas gênant. Le chemin d'accès en descente est effectivement étroit, mais ça passe pour un fourgon. Jeux pour enfants.

Small, tarmac car park next to a children’s play park. No-one else here overnight. Very good.
Arrived here early this morning at 01.00, upon arrival the sign states Langley Moor holiday park, but it's really just a park!, no office etc. Really nice spot, plenty of waste bins and parking for all types of vehicles, although the road into the park is very narrow. Used by dog walkers and fitness enthusiasts.
We didn't arrive here until late as we were unhappy with our first choice for the night. As others have said we weren't sure we were driving in the right access but once at the park we had it to ourselves and had a lovely night's sleep. In the morning we had a good walk along the stream before heading off. There are bins on site.
The entrance looks like private property and the lane is tight for larger MHs but the three parking areas are large and flat. Walking distance to Tesco/Aldi/takeaways. Very quiet and peacefully night and the kids had a playground to entertain them in the morning.
El acceso despista un poco, porque parece que estés entrando en una finca particular. Luego un tramo de carretera estrecho y en mal estado te hace dudar más, pero de repente se abre este maravilloso espacio. Posibilidad de llegar hasta Durham en bus.
Decent 4g, quite place, great sleep. Ideal for getting into the centre the next day. Keep it clean n tidy and arrive late as it’s a playground here too.
was quite sceptical as its a narrow drive down passed an open gate, but when we did go down, it opened up into 3 sections of the car park. It was one of the best sleeps of my trip :)
Parked here a few times always had a peaceful night, great kids park, free to park with no restrictions, river nearby is great for dogs and off lead walks around, shops within walking distance
Very peaceful night. Arrived late and it was a little scary driving down to the parking but we managed ok (7m lwb crafter). We moved early in the morning as we didn't realise there were 3 sections of the car park. Only a couple of dog walkers in the morning. Lovely walk for the dog.
Excellent place for the night play park and river very peaceful no restrictions,no facilities room for at least 6 motorhomes.
Een prettige en rustige nacht gehad hier. Er is een mooi groot veld waar je kan wandelen en spelen met de hond en voor kinderen een speeltuin. Prima internet verbinding.

Wir waren am 25.5.23 hier. Geheimtip! Der sehr schmale Parkeingang zum “Hollidaypark”täuscht. ( wohl knapp2,4 m) : Man kommt rein! Mehr als 1 Platz vorhanden. Rücksicht auf Parkbesucher versteht sich. Keine Gelage -englisch diskret! Ein schöner Kinderspielplatz mit “flying fox”!
THINK BEFORE PARKING!! I’m a vanlifer and this spot is quite local to me. I stay here regularly I have family and friends in the nearby town. Stop pulling in the car park before it gets dark. The locals are noticing and it’s causing an uproar. There are talks of the site getting blocked off after hours to deter campers as there has been an influx. Be mindful to locals and respect the area!
Un petit parc très sympa! L’entrée est difficile à trouver : en venant de Durham, juste après le pont à gauche, entre 2 pots de fleurs.
Endroit parfait : beau et tranquille ! Aire de jeux pour les enfants. Très propre. Tables et banc pour picnic !
Stayed here lovely location kids play park, nice walk through the woods an nice little river runs through. very quiet would definitely recommend.
Although this does seem like it could be a great spot, we looked at it in July the week before the school holidays and in the summer I would advise anyone to arrive very late as there were a lot of teenagers hanging about. Also the original post doesn't mention that you drive through the entrance to the park down a single track road so really only suitable for smaller vans.
