(71030) Sosta Camper Eden Park
There is a place in Italy where you can listen to the sound of the sea, savor the scent of citrus fruits and maritime pines, dive into the colors of the forest, meet the roe deer, feel the silence of the clearings among prickly pears and orchids, and taste the flavors of the rural tradition: it is the Gargano National Park. IN MATTINATA (FG), CITY OF SPONTANEOUS ORCHIDS AND GOOD OLIVE OIL, THE EDEN PARK REST AREA is ready to welcome you, in our large spaces, in maximum safety. The pitches are large and shaded and in the entire area there are columns for connecting 4AH electricity. There are also 6AH ones, with a surcharge.
In addition, the novelty is given by our pitches BY THE SEA: in a quieter and more private area there are some locations surrounded by greenery, more spacious and accompanied by a breathtaking view. These special pitches have a different cost.
In the area there are toilets and coin-operated hot showers.
The Bar has a wonderful sea view and a slope for access to the free and private beach. There is the possibility of daily rental of sunbeds or 1 umbrella and 2 sunbeds, MAX 3 adults and 1 child, on our private beach which is entirely pebbled and therefore also very "loud", very different from the expanses of sand. the center of Mattinata is about 2.5 km away and can be reached on foot or by bicycle, otherwise the municipal shuttle is available, operational from June to September, with runs at all hours of the day, the stop of which is located near the structure with tickets that can be purchased on board.
The structure is a few kilometers from Monte Sant'Angelo, the city of the two UNESCO sites and from San Giovanni Rotondo, the city of San Pio.
A half hour's drive from us, therefore, is an obligatory stop at two religious "pearls": the sanctuary of San Michele Arcangelo with the famous cave and the Basilica dedicated to San Pio da Pietrelcina, for all of us, Padre Pio. Because the Gargano is also religious history!
Furthermore, we are close to the beautiful Umbra Forest known for its beech forests; for trekking lovers there are many paths reachable on foot. Furthermore, on the summit of Monte Saraceno which is about 40 minutes from our structure and home to a Dauna necropolis, reachable on foot via a splendid panoramic trekking route, during the spring period it is possible to admire some of the many species of spontaneous orchids present on our territory.
An extraordinary and unmissable experience is given by boat excursions, departing from the port, to visit our coast, its splendid sea caves, the coves and the illustrious Faraglioni of Baia delle Zagare.

ROAD DIRECTIONS TO REACH US:
Mattinata can be reached by car via the A14 Bologna-Taranto motorway.
Take the exit for Foggia and follow the signs for the SS 89 state road towards Manfredonia. Once past Manfredonia, continue for another 17 km before arriving in Mattinata. Once out of the tunnel, the first of four tunnels that connect Manfredonia to Mattinata, at the first crossroads, keep right.
NOTE: after the first tunnel exit to the right without proceeding through the other tunnels. Do not enter the town but take the ring road that runs alongside the town. At the second road fork, keep right again. Once you have passed the ESSO petrol station and the cemetery, turn immediately right and be guided by the numerous advertising boards in our rest area.
