Ruhiger Ort/Nacht, Wandererausgangspunkt - merkte man am nächsten morgen durch viele Besucher. Las sich hier wie 2£/Nacht auf Spendenbasis, wurden am nächsten Morgen an der Toilette abgefangen und sollten 12£ zahlen. Bei späterer Nachfrage bei einem andere Mitarbeiter sind die Kosten 2£/2h, 12£ oder 20£/Nacht, abhängig der Van-größe. Toiletten renovierungsbedürftig.

super petit coin, route pas très loin mais pas vraiment de circulation la nuit.

Mooie grote parkeerplaats. Veel plek voor diverse soorten campers. Je kunt er prachtig wandelen! Wij stonden er met een stuk of 10 campers. Enige nadeel was een grote groep jongeren die in het bos vuur maakte, bier dronk en erg luidruchtig was. Ook op de parkeerplaats zelf. Pas rond 00:30 waren ze weg. Dat was jammer. Verder een mooie plek!

Klasse Parkplatz! Wir haben 2 Nächte hier gestanden und die 2 GBP/Nacht gerne freiwillig gezahlt. Mehrere Plätze auch für längere Womo (unser 7,3m) vorhanden. Toiletten beim Kiosk können mitbenutzt werden. Sehr gute Busverbindung in die City. Das Bild bei Park4Night zeigt die Öffnungszeiten des Kiosks am Platz an. Der Parkplatz selbst ist immer offen. Würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Nous avons passé une belle nuit ici, les randonneurs ne sont arrivés que vers 9h/10h. il y a 4 places au moins pour des campings-cars, notre location de 7m est entré sans problème. Les toilettes sont un vrai plus, nous avons même pu faire la vaisselle aux toilettes. Le site est très bien pour une nuit. Nous irons moins en camping si nous trouvions plus d'endroits comme ça.

Parked my 8m motorhome without any problems. Lovely walks with spectacular scenery and great pub nearby.

Nice area buy completely useless for any camper over 6 metres long . wasted journey to get here.

Standen hier für 1 Nacht. Ca. 30 Minuten bis Edinburgh, Royal Mile. Das angrenzende Naturschutzgebiet bietet Möglichkeiten für schöne Wanderungen. Abends tranken wir ein Bier im Flotterstone Inn. Der Parkplatz hat zwar 50 Parkplätze, aber auf nicht allen Plätzen kann man sehr lange Wohnmobile parken. Die öffentlichen Toiletten waren akzeptabel. Vodafone UK praktisch ohne Empfang.

Superb overnight stop, carpark is intended for visitors to the country park but there seems to be plenty of space. Donations box has been raided so it's out of action, you pay by app. Everyone says there's no signal but we had no problem. Recommend the cafe even if he did open late. No app?

Ein Platz für Motorhomes, sonst eher kleine Plätze. Gut besucht, saubere Toiletten, Wanderwege. Lärm von der Hauptstraße, für eine Nacht ok.

Grand parking calme de 22 h 30 à 8 h 30. Lieu de balades et de sports pour les habitants… et les touristes. Des toilettes ouvertes toute la nuit. Un restaurant à 200 m. Nous étions 2 vans et 2 camping-cars la nuit.

£2 in honesty box for overnight stay. Toilets not the best, but are open all night. No phone signal. Car park get very busy early on with walkers and runners.

Stayed here last night, upon arrival around 20.00 just 3 van were here, a couple more arrived, but by 22.00 all was quiet. Come morning it gets very busy with hikers, very popular car park. A cafe and toilets are on site. Great park up, please leave no trace of your parking and make a small donation in the honesty box as appreciation for the free parking.

absolutely perfect peaceful spot for the night. Popped £2 in the honesty box as suggested. beautiful walk up to the reservoir.

11/2/25 Quiet night stop, very dark! we were the only vehicle there. Toilets were open and working. Deffo would stay here again when visiting Edinburgh

Toilets were open but blocked up and not flushing. Felt safe and was (mostly) quiet. Plenty of space to park up. Was a very windy night and the area has quite a lot of tall trees. I parked in the most open space I could find just to be on the safe side.

Very large gravel parking area in park just behind the pub. Cafe opens at 10am-4pm and toilets 24 hours. However trash bins are locked and sign says take trash with you. Can walk up to the friendly cows and take a walk in the woodsy park area. Didn’t stay evening cause need trash. Signal good 2 bars. Quiet area with 4-5 other vans parked.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits sur ce parking. Il y avait d'autres van et camping-car. Toilettes ouvertes 24h/24h, plutôt propres. On entend légèrement le bruit de route mais assez éloigné pour ne pas être dérangé pendant la nuit.

Very quiet overnight. Motorhome bays at entrance although overhanging light branches need attention as some bays unusable presently. Lots of other spaces however, although busy car park during the day with walkers. Cafe was not open in September. Toilets open - take your own paper to be on safe side.

Parking qui pourrait être très bien s’il n’était pas fréquenté par des jeunes bruyants qui font ronfler leurs moteurs et plus après 20h… dommage car l’endroit aurait été très bien de ce qu’on en a vu entre 17h et 20h

Sehr ruhig und Toiletten sind nutzbar. Am Morgen kommen viele Wanderer/ Spaziergänger.

Parfait pour se poser ! Toilettes et lavabos à disposition, plutôt propres au vu du passage. Y avons dormi 3 nuits en tente de toit. Parking relais à Newcraighall (15 min de voiture) puis train jusque Edimbourg (10 min). Idéal! Gratuit mais donation pour l’entretien du parc bienvenue. Une petite remarque : quand les poubelles sont pleines, emmenez vos déchets par ailleurs. Calme et reposant.

Super kostenloser Parkplatz, ideal zum übernachten. Große Parkplätze, tolle Ausgangslage zum Wandern.

Guter kostenloser Übernachtungsplatz. Spende ist möglich, aber keine Pflicht. Trotz hörbarer Straße in der Nähe hatten wir eine ruhige Nacht in Gesellschaft etlicher anderer Campervans. Die Toiletten sind geöffnet, aber an der unteren Grenze des Akzeptablen.

nous y avons séjourné 3 nuits en tente de toit. ce spot a proximité dEdimbourg est parfait. moins de 30 min de ma ville, WC ouverts 24/24. Spot très calme. Les randonneurs commencent à arriver vers 7h mais ce n est pas un problème. Je recommande !

Première nuit dans la voiture pour moi, c'était le spot parfait ! Il y avait d'autres campeurs mais on avait de la place, tout était très calme et des toilettes accessibles et propres à tout moment ! Petit plus : une jolie balade pour aller voir les pêcheurs sur le réservoir.

Great spot for a night. not much noise except sheeps. 24/24h toilets. The parking is under the trees so you can have some shadow or be a bit protected from the rain. starting point of hiking roads.

Very good place a bit of slope, but it doesnt bother us. We had a quiet night despite of there were many other campers. Good starting point for a hike. Toilets are clean and open during the night :)

Only good for day vans, small campers or motorhomes up to 6m in length, in my view. The 5 designated parking spaces are right by the exit and anything longer [such as our 8.5mtr unit] would overhang the exit and cause a problem. Additionally at the back of the parking there are many overhanging tree branches which could cause an issue.

Endroit sympa au départ de randonnées. Café sur place, et toilettes ouvertes 24h/24h mais pas de poubelles. Donation demandée pour y passer la journée ou la nuit. Il y a 5 places réservées aux campings car, van ... Le parking reste calme la nuit, les premiers randonneurs arrivent tôt le matin (vers 5h30-6h)

Un bon endroit pour passer une nuit au calme. C'est un départ de rando. Pratique pour visiter Edimbourg un dimanche quand les parkings sont gratuits.

Passé une bonne nuit au calme dans la verdure et à plat. Pas trop loin et pratique après une visite d'Édimbourg. Nons avons bien apprécié les toilettes propres qui restent ouvertes toute la nuit.

Es ist ein super Parkplatz mit Möglichkeiten, mit dem Bus in die Stadt zu fahren. Trotz Baustelle kann man hier aktuell immernoch parken. Baustellenlärm hat man hier nur tagsüber für ein paar Stunden. Die Toiletten sind tagsüber geöffnet. Spenden sind hier gern gesehen.

Not quiet at all especially during the night with cars coming and going continually, flashing head lights, youths heading into the woods to party and a lot of single men also going into the woods at all hours. Seems to be a popular dogging site. No bins for rubbish and the public toilet was practically unusable. Having said that the local pub did great ice cream and is dog friendly.

Great stopover for a couple of nights. Adequate toilet facilities and a lovely spot.

Arrived just after dark to a nearly empty lot. Comfortable night with hikers arriving shortly after 7am (nothing disruptive). Around half of the car park is currently under construction, which is estimated to last until around the end of April, 2024, but there's still a good amount of space.

Great location, very peaceful nights sleep. Handy having toilets on site!

Très pratique car proche de Édimbourg. Toilettes ouvertes même la nuit. De nombreux emplacements, ceux du milieu sont plats. La nuit c’est calme. Mais très fréquenté au matin pour les départ de rando.

Why not stay in the pub car park and support the pub business it’s about time we supported local pubs otherwise they will cease to exist. We would far rather go on a pub car park and have a beer and a meal. There is a great mountain bike ride from this place and obviously walking.

Pleasant overnight stop. Busy car park during day, best to arrive late afternoon or early morning to get a space. Large motorhomes may struggle to fit in (we’re 6m). Decent food at nearby Flotterstone pub.

Lovely night's sleep. Remember to put something in the honesty box. Great toilets and lovely food in cafe. Amazing walks in hills. Glorious.

Parkplatz für Wandergebiet. Toiletten waren alt, aber funktionierten. Busverkehr direkt nach edinburgh für ca 3,75 £ hin und zurück direkt vorn an der Straße. wunderschöne Wanderungen möglich. Reger Betrieb und viele andere Camper vor Ort.

Flotterstone National Park car park. The toilet facilites were disgusting. We stayed 2 nights. Plenty of other camper vans, but very quiet. A lot of dog walkers in the morning. Charged £10 for 2 glasses of water in the nearby pub.

Stellplatz für eine Nacht. Toiletten ok. Mehrere Camper, sogar Zelte wurden aufgestellt. Parkplatz für Wanderer, dementsprechend viel los am Morgen. Nachts ruhig. Nebenan ein nettes Pub mit Essen und Trinken bis 22 Uhr. Mit Hund ideal.

Pasamos 3 noches aquí, fue nuestra base para visitar Edimburgo, aprovechando que hay un autobús aquí mismo (101) que te lleva al centro, hay varios horarios disponibles. Muy tranquilo por la noche y con baños gratis, no se puede pedir más!

Parking très correct, sans bruit, proche d'Edinburg. Les toilettes etaient un peu sales.

Un super emplacement sous les bois,des toilettes avec de l'eau chaude, un pub très sympa et vivant avec la wifi et un arrêt de bus pour visiter Édimbourg à 30min pour 6,60 livres pour 2 A/R.

Arrived at 5pm, did a nice short (5K) hike. Quiet night and at 10 am amazing cappuccino and panini. Definitely recommended!

Toutes les places de ce parking ne peuvent pas accueillir un camping car, mais plusieurs possibilités malgré tout. Toilettes publiques plutôt propres. En retrait de la route donc parfaitement au calme pour la nuit. Associé avec le park and Ride d'Inglinston d'où l'on prend le tram pour visiter Edimbourg , c'est un combo gagnant idéal et à moindre frais. Je recommande les 2.

Nous avons passé 3 nuits ici. Très calme malgré que l'on soit 6-7 véhicules à y dormir chaque nuit. Des gens viennent randonnés un peu le soir et le matin, mais pour nous pas de bruit. Toilettes. Pas de services.

Very good spot. Has a toilet (didn’t have toilet roll when I went). Few parked cars when I was there but made me feel a little bit safer. Able to park away from others vehicles and felt a bit of privacy. Had no issues. Lost signal for most of the night with some signal coming back every now and again.

Facilities wise, this place is good, with good reception, toilets, good walks and a pub close by. We stopped here last night, all was good until a group of men in cars turned up at about 2.30 am until about 6 am , being very loud and actually ended up fighting with each other. It might be a regular thing at the weekend, or a one off , I don’t know, but it was a bit strange.

Lots of parking, but not all spaces even or large enough for bigger vans. Busy car park until mid evening and people start arriving about half seven in the morning. Public toilets on site. Pub three minutes walk. No issues at all, would recommend.

Übernachten mit Dachzelt funktioniert wunderbar, super geeigneter Parkplatz. 4 weitere Camper waren vor Ort - entfernte Straße ist zwar wahrnehmbar, aber in Ordnung. Toiletten könnten sauberer besser sein.

No idea how you’re expected to park here unless it’s empty or you’re in a car… Don’t bother! Only other campers I saw were outside of marked bays on verges where it said ‘no parking’ and they were no bigger than a T4

Nice large area with plenty of spaces. Quiet overnight but gets very busy & noisy in the mornings with walkers going off to the reservoir.

Got lucky in finding a bay as our van is quite long at 7.45m but found one where the rear end could overhang the grass. Got breakfast at the café which was great after a very good night's sleep as we had the carpark to ourselves. Made a £10 donation to try and ensure that the council continue to think that motorhome/camper parking remains a good idea. Nearby pub was handy in the evening.

Great park up! Nice and level with very clean facilities, nice walks on your doorstep too for just a small donation!

Great stopover, only just got in to park but went for a walk to the reservoir which was lovely and the carpark had emptied out a lot when we got back. We found a good spot to back into, cooked a lovely meal and had a really peaceful night. Would recommend as great walking and cycling here, car park was full again in the morning when we left just after 10am.

Schöner Platz mit netten Cafe. Am Wochenende sehr viele Besucher und der Parkplatz war sehr voll. Toiletten einfach aber sehr sauber und auch in der Nacht geöffnet. Schöne Wanderung zum Reservoir.

great place for walks, felt safe. loos are open all night. Couldn't find water facilities, unsure if site has them but it said on Park4night there was. Busy until late and dog walkers come early in the morning. Had to park over a few bays as my motorhome is 5.6m long but the car park wasn't too busy, other people were there camping as well. MASSIVE pot holes on the way in though, be careful!

Gute Stellplatzmöglichkeit, ruhig, grün, WC kostenfrei zu nutzen. 2£ in die Spendenbox gelegt. Polizei ist vorbei gefahren - keine Kommentare. Zu empfehlen bei Durchreisen oder überfüllten Campingplätzen in und um Edingburgh.

Endroit très reposant, nous avons bien dormi avec les vaches à côtés, la balade est sympa par contre les toilettes étaient fermés :-)

sehr toller Pub mit leckerem Essen und der Wirt hat uns angeboten auf seinem Parkplatz zu übernachten, wir kommen gerne wieder her! doch mit einem Großen Wohnmobil (7,5m) ist es schwierig einen Platz zu finden.

Great overnight stop, only a couple of vans there, cafe didn’t open till 10am so found Raymond snack bar Roslin.

A really nice place to stop in the woods with some lovely walks from the Visitors’ centre. Nice and peaceful when we stayed and just off the main road. 3 other motorhomes were there overnight too. Popular with walkers during the day. On this occasion the cafe wasn’t open and it wasn’t clear when or of it would reopen.

Great location, out of the way of traffic, surround by trees, toilets open all night, not that clean but good to have Felt very safe, Beautiful walks and views. Loads of spaces no restrictions in car park probably could stay two nights if needed Small box with donations welcome. Added bonus little pub 2 min walk away definitely stay again. Cafe not open even tho it says open at 10am

Stayed here last night. Great walks for the dog and lots on interesting things to see while on the hills. Spot the old water bed filtration system, a hidden waterfall, derelict crofters cottage, water reservoir., picnic tables and lots more. They ask for donation, don't be a cheep scate, it's well worth £10. cafe is great too. enjoy and leave no trace.

Dark and stormy night but great quiet place to stay. We actually live in edinburgh but this is perfect for a little Saturday night adventure.

Really enjoyable night here. note that the toilets are closed over Xmas/new year and start if January until the cafe opens again. We came in evening & there was only us and one other camper for the night. Only problem was that parking a 6m long van was not great between the wooden slates put down to mark out spots. in the end we parked across four spaces which was the only way of getting level.

Lovely peaceful spot with lots of surrounding walks. Toilets open all night which was a bonus. The Flotterstone Inn at the entrance to the car park is very welcoming with lovely home cooked food. A nice place to be, we decided to stay for 2 nights.

Excellent spot, toilets on site and start point for walking and cycling trails in the Pentland hills. Peaceful nights sleep. Highly recommended, 15 minute drive from Edinburgh ring road.

Great spot for the night, with just two other campervans. A little road noise and people arriving early for their walks.

Nice place but no water supply

Lovely place and toilets were open from 10am- 6pm. Spent 4 nights there in August, great base for Edinburgh. Paid via the app. Very busy during the day but lots of spaces after 8ish.

Car park is on the rhs after the pub. Was really busy when I arrived (6pm) but got quieter at night. Bit of road noise but nothing to worry about. Felt safe

Turn off the main road following the the signs for the pub , turn into the lane by the pub BUT drive past it and the car park is 100 m along on the right.it’s adjacent to fields popular with walkers , payment is now via an app and is £2.20

Stayed here for 1 night, loads of spaces, only 3 campervans including myself. Got busy in the morning but was very peaceful during the evening and all for £2! Will definitely stay here again.

Amazing place. Quiet and just off the main road. Two other camper vans stayed here also. No issues. Highly recommend.

Lovely and peaceful. Very busy during the day with walkers and cyclists but quietens right down on an evening. We stayed two nights as the Pentlands are so beautiful we needed more time to explore. only one other van there both nights. Be sure to leave a donation, there were a group of volunteers litterpicking one morning.

Lovely place, unfortunately the midges drove us away

Fabulous location, sadly we arrived too late to have our planned meal here. We did however purchase a few rounds of drinks. I went for a wander around Glencorse reservoir in the morning, minutes walk from the pub, absolutely stunning location.
