Avoid if possible, leave early if you stay particularly on Fri and Sat. I stayed 25th Jan as too tired to continue my journey. Following morning the same 3 cars kept entering, slowly driving through and leaving the lay-by all driven by elderly single men. Although it felt safe I won’t be back.
ideal spot, but couldn't get any TV reception but hay ho.. bit of a slope in the middle. but levelish at both ends..
Wide layby behind trees but as usual, loads of rubbish and reeks of urine. A few men of a certain age hovering around in the evening, and from the very early hours, tractors were racing through at full speed. Recommended! lol
Large lay by popular with HGV’s. Good location. Some rubbish. Quite noisy during the day but quietens down at night. No facilities. Good 4g. Would recommend.
As laybys go it's not bad. Some dumped rubbish unfortunately but it's fairly wide, a bit away from the road which helps, and a pretty nice view. Certainly not one to avoid from my experience of stopping up for a brew.
Found out after parking up that this is a well know cruising spot for gay men, we even had one poke his head into the campervan which put me on edge all night. The shenanigans went on to around 10.30 then it was quiet until morning. The lay by itself is set away from the road by trees which we wouldn’t enter as that’s where all the men went. Would not recommend at all!
A couple of trucks and a camper here when we arrived last night. bin was overflowing and the traffic noise was louder than expected. 2 bars of signal on o2, but overall an ok spot for a night.
Got dropped here to await breakdown recovery. Could be cleaner (bin overflowing and rubbish around) and is a little noisy from the road in the evening/morning, but otherwise great! It's relatively flat, quiet at night, set back from the road and there's a services/garage about 1 mile down the road. Spent the night with one other HGV and no issues.

Nice quiet comfortable location not too noisy set back from main road and bonus amazing view.
We had a very peaceful night sleep. Busy during the evening with cars coming and going. Excellent screening from the road with dense trees between. There is a public footpath a short walk back for the dogs. We shared the lay-by with four HGVs but there was plenty of space for a few more. Beautiful views across the countryside.
