Lovely basic campsite, hardstanding and electric available. Friendly owners, they have only been there a few months and have plans for the campsite in the coming months, so it has lots of potential. Toilets, showers & washing up area available, they do need updating but they are clean and do the job. Pub was lovely inside and food was delicious! We will definitely be back! £20 for 2 adults pn.

Sehr nette Wirtsleute. Ohne Strom pro Person 10£. Essen war super, viele verschiedene Biersorten. Schöner Biergarten. Duschen etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles da was man braucht. Stellplatz am Flussufer war wunderschön.
Open now. Great spot by the river and only charged us £10 a night for hard standing and no electric for each motorhome and 1 person. Pub not quite ready for food and shower block a bit dated but very clean, a work in progress. Will return, great location

we are here now, very easy book in. just turned up and booked in, very friendly, electric hookup , quiet, enjoyed the quiet time for a night. BBQs and fire pits allowed.
Perfect location. Lovely friendly welcome. Superb camping field. £10 per person + £6 for EHU. Smashing grub and cold beers. What more could we ask for on a sunny summers Saturday ??
had good recommendations to stay here. but there are now new owners. It started off well. but then the owner accused our group of taking electricity and stealing oil. then one of the group broke down on site and the recovery vehicle was refused permission to enter site. sorry but would not recommend any more
New owners and an excellent pitch. The River Avon flows through the grounds and is nice and peaceful. The pub has a great beer garden. The main bank of pitches has EHU and there are taps spread along also. The showers are clean and powerful. Gary, the groundsman, is more than helpful and will allay fears and solve any problems you may have. In summary, a picturesque and great site.
Area to treat of pub. 10 hardstandings plus room for many campers. main road but not busy at all. Salisbury plains close so military movements are normal. Toilets and showers are old now. great family run place, friendly and helpful. a couple of permanent stays here....could do with moving on now. lovely area and great bass for moving on from. Motorhome from £8 a person plus £5 hookup.
I haven't stayed overnight but topped up water and could use the disposal facilities for free. Friendly and helpful staff. The parking lots are providing lot's of space, are tidy and clean. Lovely pup next to the campsite with a big garden area and playing field for kids. Traffic wasn't too bad when we've been here but it seems that it can be quite busy at times. Would give it a try.
Easy to find and hard standings good. Toilet facilities a little tired but lovely piping hot water. Not much road noise but low flying aircraft and helicopters spoil an afternoon nap. Would be a good centre to tour from
