stayed 1 night August bank holiday. Toilets open 24hr. Plenty day trippers get there early if overnighting. Carpark empties tea time when day trippers go. Overnight Parking £15 24hrs paid online not on app, carpark has wifi. Pub close by serves food and drink. Staithes harbour a short walk down hill, steep coming back up to car park. Plenty of pubs, cafes etc. Grass standing also which is nice.

We love Staithes but are so disappointed that the overflow car park which campervans generally used has now been fenced off. Having been there a number of times in the past it gave users an amazing view out to sea, over the village but alas it is no more. The day we turned up there was no room in the car park or overflow especially for campervans, a sad affair.

Parcheggio molto bello e tranquillo peccato che per pagare sia la cosa più difficile del mondo, soprattutto se sei straniero e non hai un indirizzo inglese. Peccato perché il paese è molto carino e si mangia benissimo.

Avoid at all costs!!!! Can’t trust parking online payment,we got a fine for going 3 mins over time limit whilst struggling to pay on line. This was because their wi fi was so weak.Eventually we managed to pay successfully for the night. When we got home we received a £60 fine in the post stressing that if we appealed and lost we would have to pay £100.It was a very EXPENSIVE visit to Staithes !!!!!!

Lovely spot, grassy bays. public toilet close by, short steep walk down to quaint fishing harbour with couple of nice pubs. The parking charge is ok for genuine campervaners who appreciate the ability to stopover. Right on Cleveland way. Very windy but that is part of the charm. I wouldn’t use a pop top though or it could disappear over the hill

Signposted parking from Staithes Harbour sign great little spot (Thursday) very quiet and empty only two vehicles last night great for the coastal walk and a couple of bars and restaurants in the harbour , COD & Lobster well worth a visit but make sure you book Follow us ➡️ @daddyslittlelunchbox

Stayed here for one night, £15 for 24 hrs paid via tap2park only. Nice grassy area with great views. Short walk to beautiful village harbour. A couple of pubs and other places for food. A great stopover.

  • 1/5

Nice place to stay but the parking company will try fine you even if you’ve paid

  • 5/5

Lovely spot. There are two carparks here side by side, and the top of the upper one has some reasonably flat spaces. 5 vans here (at the end of Feb), and it was very peaceful. £15 for 24 hours. I had almost no coverage from Vodafone and excellent coverage from EE (though little of either if you walk down into the village). If hoping to get a table at the Cod & Lobster, you should book!

  • 5/5

Great little stopover. Very clean public toilets . If you enjoy steep hills walking to the harbour is for you. Will be stopping again

  • 4/5

Great place to explore Staithes and the harbour, note field off the left towards the sea is now closed off but main car park is still ok overnight. £15 for 24 hrs or £20 for 48, poor phone signal but car park has free Wi-Fi so use this to pay on website, stay away from the apps.

  • 4/5

We stayed here for one night and paid for parking via the website (£15/24hr). Great place to explore the local area. Three other campers were here, very safe and secure. Would return. PS park in the right area to not get a fine. Turn right as you enter up the hill on the grass parking area.

Avoid like the plague. Good location but they are overzealous with parking fines, even when you pay. Crazy! Avoid! A shame, because in the 24 hours we were there, we spent around £80 in local businesses. However we won’t be back.

Beautiful location, ideal for visiting Staithes. Scammers are operating on the Tap2park app- as highlighted by Which magazine alerts. Pay by website, not the app or you will be charged several subscriptions a few days later, from a base in Nicosia, Cyprus. One refunded us £24.99, the other for £48 refused! Pay by cash to avoid this.

Great location for visiting Staithes - its a short steep walk away. Beautiful little village to explore and nice pub overlooking the harbour. Haven’t used the toilets near the entrance so can’t comment on those. We parked parallel to the rear fence overlooking the nearby farm and with distant sea views. Quiet overnight

  • 5/5

A very quiet night; free WiFi; clean toilets and a pleasant walk into Staithes. Good food at the Cod & Lobster right at the water’s edge. Will definitely return if in the area. £15.20 for one night June 2024.

1 Punkt.

Stayed in the overflow (grassy area at the back) car park. £15.50 for 24hrs, had a lovely walk to the Cod & Lobster pub (food was excellent!) and a few pints outside beforehand. Told by barmaid (Sophie) there's a short cut to the car park (5min walk) on the way back to cut out the hill. Amazing views over the North Sea. Field full of ponies/horses, owl swooped by, full of nature, perfect spot!

  • 4/5

Stayed here for one night in the grassy overflow car park which was ideal for walking down and visiting the village. The area is quite sloped but had a quiet sleep with beautiful views. Toilets didn’t appear to be open the whole time I was there.

  • 5/5

Arrived approximately 8 pm in the evening. Loads of space available nice and quiet until 5.30 am we was awoken by chickens and Mr Cockerel I should’ve parked in the overflow car park. The furthest point away from him other than that, I would return again.

  • 4/5

Lovely place to stop for a night. Beautiful views. We parked on the overflow grass car park. Just us and one other van so used the flattest area. £15 for 24hrs.

  • 1/5

Parked up on the grassy overflow car park. This overlooks an industrial pig farm. So not the nicest place to stop with the smells and sounds associated with a factory farm :(

  • 5/5

Lovely place to stop for a night or 2. We stopped one night. The views are incredible, we were lucky as the sky's were clear so we saw a beautiful sunset. Pub 2 minutes walk, Staithes village is a short walk down a very steep bank. Felt safe and slept well. The overflow car park where we pitched up is a bit overgrown but wasn't a problem to us. we will be back.

  • 3/5

Good location near cafes and pub, toilets (closed on evening) and Staithes of course. No services and some of the park is on an incline. As it overlooks the sea, it was incredibly windy when we stopped last night, we even moved out van to see if we could get out of it but we couldn't.

  • 5/5

£15 for 24 hours. Loads of spaces in the overflow car park for motorhome, follow the signs. Best view is in the overflow car park, can see right over the fields to the sea and watch the boats go by. Sheep & pony in field. Very quiet, need chocs if going on the grass but hard standing available in main car park. Toilets on site and a Mr Moos Cafe. Lovely walk into Staithes. Would recommend.

  • 5/5

Nice quiet park up...we parked in the overflow to get the best view..very quiet...another van there and a few cars...felt very safe...Great little place to visit...

  • 5/5

Parked in the overflow carpark at the rear, wonderful views of the coastline and the sea view. Stayed on Thursday night 1 other camper on site so really quiet and felt safe. Toilets were locked at around 9pm, but the disabled was unlocked, not sure if this is the norm. £15 for 24hrs. Would stay again.

  • 5/5

stayed Saturday night/Sunday beautiful spot for walking with our dog then sat on the bay eating fish and chips, overflow carpark might be bit windy but tucked in corner was ideal, will definitely visit again

  • 5/5

Fantastic locaton, very quiet and peaceful

  • 5/5

24 hrs £15.30. Park at the back against the fence and in the corner if possible. very windy that night but zero wind in corner. 10 min walk into the harbour. mega steep hill. no noise at all overnight. can't hear anything. Fabulous fish n Chips from the royal George on the cobbles in the only street into staithes. plenty of little shops and cafes. locals very welcoming. overall beautiful weekend.

  • 1/5

I haven't visited this car park however I'm surprised people pay £15 to park on a car park. Rip off Britain.

  • 4/5

Lovely spot, especially in the overflow car park. Toilets were closed by 6pm on 25th Sept. Maybe the hours are reduced for the off season

  • 4/5

Go to the Private car park after council car park (next to each other). Payment to be made online £15 for 24 hours. Overflow area has sea view but top of normal car park is where we stayed. Quiet, peaceful and nice to be on grass rather than tarmac. Half a mile walk to the Co Op. Dark and away from roads or people. In September when we stayed it could be a private campsite. 2 vans in overflow

  • 4/5

Great place to park up. Arrived at 10pm and toilets were locked up. Men’s toilets were open just after 7, ladies by 8ish.

  • 4/5

Very quiet - basically noone there. Toilets open all night. Felt safe. Sunset was beautiful - not far by foot into Staithes (which is lovely). Phone signal really terrible, but didn't really matter for me.

  • 5/5

Yes we stayed at this location overnight and paid via tap2park. a few days later I received a parking charge notice of £60. I sent a copy of my tap2park receipt via email to appeal and today have had the appeal regected because I didn't pay within 10 minutes of stopping. I am going to challenge this. But be warned.
