Nice parking spot and it’s completely free. There’s 3 motorhome/campervan spaces available just off the road. There is also a public toilet about 2 mins walk across the road by the cemetery. The church bells ring every 15 mins but are not too loud and didn’t bother me. Can highly recommended especially considering it’s free and it’s difficult to find any sort of over night parking in this area

A convenient stop over with fill and waste points round the corner. Space for 3 vans. The church bells do go off but it’s really not a big drama until 6am when it’s a continuous 5 minutes! Apart from that it’s a great spot
Nous y avons passé une nuit, c'est un des rares endroits où il est possible de passer une nuit dans la légalité dans ce canton où le camping sauvage est très compliqué. Merci à la ville d'avoir mis ce lieu à disposition, cela fonctionne pour une nuit. Néanmoins, le spot se situe au bord de la route et juste en face de l'église qui sonne toutes les 15 min, un peu bruyant
Muchísimas gracias al pueblo por habilitar una zona para que pernoctemos gratuitamente! Es bastante raro en Suiza. Caben 3-4 furgonetas, terreno bastante plano (con calzos ideal). Pasan pocos coches por la noche (molesta más la campana de la iglesia). Si hay coches aparcados es porque durante eventos religiosos se permite que aparquen coches. Al lado del cementerio hay baños públicos abiertos 24h

Vielen Dank an die Gemeinde für den Platz und die Möglichkeit der Entsorgung. In der Nacht ist wenig Verkehr auf der Straße, die Kirchenglocken sind nicht sehr laut. Mit Ohropax hört man sie in der Nacht nicht. Der Platz war sauber, ich brauchte nur wenig Müll sammeln. Ich verstehe nicht warum Papiertaschentücher auf den Boden geworfen werden müssen. Der Platz ist eben, etwas eng aber ok.

Parking assez grand ce qui est bien pour les manœuvre mais pas de poubelle autour.. les chèvres en face et l’église (toutes les 15 min même la nuit) sont quand même vachement bruyantes … après il est gratuit
Playground with BBQ area just around the corner. Over the bridge you on the left free grey and black water disposal, plus fresh water refill. Church bell and traffic were okay for us.
Prima overnachting gehad. Weinig last gehad van het verkeer en de kerkklokken. Om de hoek is er een gratis mogelijkheid om water te lozen, drinkwater te pakken en het toilet te legen. Hulde aan deze gemeente voor deze service!
3 Parkplätze direkt an der Straße. Mann muss hier echt Lärmunumpfindlich sein, weil die Straße stark befahren ist, und der Glockenturm der angrenzenden Kirche alle 15 Minuten "bimmelt" auch nachts. War eine sehr anstrengende Nacht. Ver und Entsorgung sind etwas weiter weg, aber in Betrieb. Benutzung ist kostenlos

Terrible place to sleep. You can of course, but its hard, this place is right beside a church that rings a bell every 30 minutes the whole night long. 6 in the morning ringed for 5 whole minutes, we almost gone crazy. Beyond that its ok, go at your own risk.

Sehr seltener, kostenloser(!), ebener Platz für eine Nacht. Da die Stellplätze sich in einer Nebenstraße befinden und die Kirche quasi direkt gegenüber ist, unbedingt an Oropax denken - so waren die Kirchenglocken für mich akzeptabel.
Somos de los que dormimos en cualquier sitio y las campanas de la iglesia nos molestaron. Pero un sitio gratis en Suiza, con punto de carga a 200 metros se merece un 5.

Dou 5 porque é um lugar quase inexistente na Suíça, gratuito, sem restrições, próximo da cidade, da área de serviços. O ruído não nos incomodou, de dia passam mais carros, e a igreja não nos incomodou. Tem uma padaria a 900m bem boa. 4G bom pra trabalhar
In Switzerland a parking for campers for free, and nearby (2’ drive) facilities for campers too. Well done to this town and thank you. There is less sound of cars than anywhere by the lakes and the bells from the church not a big deal at all, but will hear them at 6am. No point to complain to people who welcomes campers in this area in Switzerland.
Hemos dormido dos noches allí. Las campanas no nos han molestado para dormir, aunque suenan cada 15 minutos. La carretera pasa muy cerca, pero a partir de la 0h, apenas pasan coches. Se agradece encontrar un sitio gratuito para descansar en Suiza. Al lado, sale un bonito paseo que llega al pueblo bordeando el río.
Dommage pour ce petit village très joli. Y avons passé la nuit, les voitures sans excès ne nous ont pas dérangés cependant, sachant que je n ai aucune animosité à l égard de la religion, le fait que les cloches sonnent la nuit tous les 15 mns c est fort désagréable et nous a empêché de passer une bonne nuit. Dommage car le village est vraiment typique
Las camapanas de la Iglesia empiezan 4 am y suenan 30 minutos cada hora. Ósea que suenan sin parar de 4 a 4:30am de 5 a 5:30 y así. Es bastante duro para dormir

Do tre stelle solo perché è uno dei pochissimi posti concessi ai camper, mentre in quest'area della Svizzera è tutto vietato e/o a pagamento. Ma meriterebbe meno stelle perché la notte è disturbata continuamente dalla campana della Chiesa, che suona persino alle 4 di notte e di continuo.

No hi vam dormir perquè està al costat de la carretera i passen bastants cotxes. Crec que més que el soroll de les campanades (que per nosaltres no és un problema), és el soroll dels cotxes.

Tiene mérito existir un sitio así en Suiza, así que gracias Giswil! Los servicios de llenado y vaciado están muy cerca y funcionando. La única pega es la campana de la iglésia, sobre todo a las 06:00 que suena durante unos minutos, pero tampoco es ningún drama.
Tiene una iglesia justo enfrente. Por momentos pensé q tenía la campana justo dentro de mi furgoneta de lo fuerte q se escuchaba. Pero al menos es un espacio gratuito y público gracias Giswil. La zona de carga y descarga tan cerca es perfecta.
La cercanía de la carretera es un poco molesta por la noche.

Die Kirche steht nebenan und ist laut, ansonsten hats gepasst…waren 1 Nacht dort.
Gut dass es den Platz gibt. Dank an die Gemeinde. Leider doch recht laut am Abend und am Morgen. War 2 Nächte hier und habe aber gut geschlafen. Ideal um auf der Mörlialp Ski zu laufen. Leider hat es weit und breit keinen Abfallkübel.

Buen sitio para pasar una noche. Detrás hay caminitos muy llanos para hacer alguna pequeña ruta y un parque para niños. El único problema es que a las 6 de la mañana suenan las campanas 2-3 minutos. Estacionamiento máximo 24h.

Horroroso por la carretera y sobretodo por las campanas de la iglesia. suena cada cuarto y a las seis de la mañana está sonando unos dos minutos..y el sonido es muy fuerte, el área no tiene nada..aunque cerca hay una zona con todos los servicios gratuitos y eso es de agradecer. Pero nunca más dormiré ahí.
Für eine Nacht super. Entsorgung ist in der Nähe. Straße ist abends Nacht ruhig. Turmuhr ist etwas störend, aber für gebührenfrei absolut empfehlenswert.
Super für einen gratis Wohnmobilparkplatz. Es war relativ ruhig und es hatte Licht draussen, welches uns aber nicht störte. Direkt an der Strasse und leicht schräg der Platz.
Ein sehr schöner Platz. Wir sind zwei Nächte geblieben. Es waren nur zwei Stellplätze frei, da der andere von Bauarbeiter, welche die Straße saniert haben, belegt war. Toll dass eine Entlehrungs Station direkt in der Nähe ist. Wir können eine Fahrrad Tour um den See sehr empfehlen!

Très content de trouver des emplacements gratuits pour camping car. C'est rare en Suisse. Cependant il faut se préparer à dormir avec les cloches de l'église toutes les 15min. C'est vraiment bruyants ! Aire de service à quelques centaines de mètres très pratique.
Très bruyant, la route est très passante jusqu'à minuit et le trafic reprend à 5h. En plus de ça, on est juste à côté de l'église et la cloche sonne le jour, toutes les demies heures et toutes les heures. Et la nuit, tous les quarts d'heure, demies heures et heures...horrible ! Et les chèvres d'à côté aussi avec leur cloche. Pas facile de passer une bonne nuit. Dommage parce que c'est gratuit.

Really happy we could find a free place to stay :) a bit tight to park and the church bell right next to the parking lot doesn’t sleep, but otherwise safe and next to services. To get water and dispose of your grey waters, you need to cross the wooden bridge right next to the parking spot and turn left.
One of a handful of free spots in the whole country. Camping in switzerland is massively over priced, so this is a great find. Bells are not that bad (quite nice actually) and they did not wake us in the night, same as traffic noise, between say 10pm and 7.30am didnt notice anything. service facilities just around the corner also free.
Great free spot which as others have said, is rare in Switzerland. Only downside is it is a bit noisy on the road and the church bells went every 15 minutes in the night! 12 min walk to local shop. Water fill up and disposal great (just over wooden big wooden bridge on the left).
Petit parking au bord de route. 3 places. Bien pour une nuit. Calme pas de bruit à part le matin. Les services se trouvent dans une autre rue derrière après le pont. 3 étoiles car a le mérite d’exister surtout en Suisse où les vrais aire de repos sont rare.
Die drei Lücken sind kaum mehr als normale Parklücken, man steht wie die Ölsardinen. Die Ver- und Entsorgung um die Ecke ist top, aber als offizieller Stellplatz ist die Lage nicht gut (Durchgangsstraße).
Kostenloser Stellplatz an der Durchgangsstraße. Gegenüber ist die Kirche. Natürlich sind die Glocken sowie der Verkehr zu hören, hat uns nicht gestört und haben wunderbar geschlafen. Ver- und Entsorgung nach der Brücke links, ebenfalls kostenlos.
The new sign just allows people attending funerals and services to use the places. They are still there for Motor homes and are signed as such. Very nice to have a dedicated stopping place with free services close at hand. Unusual for Switzerland in my experience.

Parcelas casi planas, están a un lado de la carretera por la noche pasan pocos coches, pero están enfrente de la iglesia donde suenan las campanas cada cuarto de hora. Agua gratis, se desagua a 150m. No hay contenedores de basura. El pueblo es precioso.
Stellplatz ist direkt an der Durchgangsstraße. Auch in der Nacht Verkehr. Kirchenglocken direkt gegenüber und auch die ganze Nacht durch. Stellplätze fast eben, aber nur als Parkplatz ohne Strom. Ver-/Entsorgung über die Brücke. Immerhin gratis.
We were grateful to find a free place to stay in Switzerland, but we found the spot very noisy mid week. The road noise went most of the night and the bells were rung every 15 minutes.
No hay sombra pero es perfecto para hacer una parada en ruta. La carretera no molesta, las campanas son constantes pero no perturban el descanso. A apenas 300m por detrás del área hay zona de juegos para los niños. Junto a la estación hay un COOP.
Spent 3 nights here :) Next to a road but quiet at night. Yes, we woke up at 6 am because of the church bells but you soon fall back to sleep again. After reading so much about Swiss police giving out fines if you wildcamp, it’s nice to have a free place where you can sleep legally and without worries :)
Cómodo sitio junto a la carretera no demasiado ruidoso. Tres plazas amplias sin servicios. Suscribo lo de las campanadas de la iglesia, empiezan a la seis de la mañana! Por lo demás está bien para pasar una noche
We spent one night here, it's only a parking with no facilities, they're 100m away. It's next to the road but it was quiet enough. The only problem are the bells of the church ringing all night and very loud at 6am. We woke up a lot but for one night you can stand it.
