Great spot for an overnight park up. Views over a large public green and the sea. Chargeable to park on Sat, Sun and bank holidays but only £3.40 for 9 hours. All of the council car parks along the coast do not permit overnight parking.

We stayed in August 2024. We thought it was going to be a lovely park up, right next to the beach. But unfortunately that didn’t happen, as we had a drunk relieve himself on the back of our motorhome and when my husband confronted him, he got a bit nasty. We left straight away. Such a shame too.

Great spot and quiet if your savvy with parking position, spaces around the whole green with level spots available. Public toilets 10-15 walk make sure you go to the ones closest to the castle other one is closed. Recommended!

Excellent spot next to large grass area with sea views. Cars passing until 11pm ish but it’s not a very busy road. Would recommend!

As everyone says, quiet and safe: felt ok as a solo female traveller.

Parking at side of a main road. Free except weekends and bank holidays. Slightly sloping. View of sea. Had undisturbed sleep. Little traffic after 23:30

Quiet, safe parking spot with view of Longsands (7min walk away). Residential street so good for sleeping overnight but not for camping long term.
