(DG11 1NT) Kirk Loch Campsite

Niedlicher kleiner Campingplatz direkt am See. Für eine Nacht völlig ok. Viele Dauercamper. Vorsicht!!! Bei größeren Gefährten. Nicht wie von Google Maps empfohlen vom Crown Hotel Lochmaben reinfahren, lieber vom Golfplatz her. War mit unserem 2,30 breiten Caravan Millimeterarbeit. Ansonsten alles sauber und ordentlich.

Très jolie petit camping propriétaire très sympathique. au bord d'un lac avec grande promenade. sanitaires très propres, lessive et sèche linge gratuit .

Nice little Campsite. We had a hard standing pitch, 30£ is a little pricy for that. The tent pitches are a lot nicer. All in all we had a great stay, lovely view over the loch, clean facilities. Great if you are on your way up to the Highlands! In the village is a nice Fish&Chip Shop, had a nice first day in Scotland!

A nice basic campsite in a great location. We paid £30 for a hard standing pitch without power. Booking was via phone and there was no-one on site when we arrived. Facilities were a little tired (boiler was playing up, so no hot water for the basins), but good enough. We booked early-morning and just as well we did as they were fully booked by the time we arrived

Der Platz ist sauber und hübsch an einem See gelegen. Das Wasser in dem See ist jedoch so trübe, dass man dort nicht baden kann. Die Sanitäreinrichtungen sind schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen,keine Abstellmöglichkeiten, keine Haken, die Abwäsche für das Geschirr ist auch nicht sehr praktikabel. sehr freundlicher Kontakt mit dem Betreiber. Für eine Nacht okay, aber trotzdem nicht mehr als 3 Sterne.

Parfait ! Douches et WC impeccables, emplacement calme et bien délimité, possibilité de faire le plein d’eau propre et de vidanger les eaux grises (pas possible de vidanger les toilettes chimiques). Nous sommes arrivés tardivement et avons pu choisir et réserver notre emplacement en ligne sans problème.

Lovely site with great views. Several pitches are taken by seasonal caravans so suggest booking at busy times. Facilities very good and very short walk to local shops and pubs. Great stop

Beautiful place to stop over. Facilities were very clean and warm. Staff were very nice and friendly. There’s a beautiful walk around the loch which is perfect for the dog. Loads of like shops and chip shop near by.

Nice small campsite, next to the Loch with beautiful views. Really handy for the village, with a 2 min walk to the pub and an excellent fish and chip shop. The site itself has everything you need and the showers etc are very clean with good pressure. Our only criticism is the use of shower curtains, which have black mould on them and could do with replacing. It cost us £38 per night in Aug ‘23

Ruhiger kleiner Campingplatz direkt am See. Sanitäre Einrichtungen sauber. Eher teuer 32.50£ Wunderschön zu spazieren um den See und zum biken.

Amazing view by the Loch, clean toilets, brilliant walks around the Lochs.

Perfekt für einen Zwischenstopp für die Nacht. Leider nur Barzahlung möglich, aber ein Geldautomat ist in einem kleinen Supermarkt ca. 4-5min zu laufen. Als wir abends ankamen haben wir eine Nummer angerufen, die uns den Türcode für Toilette und Dusche durchgegeben hat, freie Platzwahl. Bezahlen am nächsten Morgen. Sehr freundlicher Herr an der Rezeption und Sanitäranlagen sehr sauber.

Run by Dumfries and Galloway council, helpful manager. Right on edge of Kirk Loch. Good dog walk on edge of golf course and round other lochs. A bit too much lighting at night. Promising looking chippy in village but didn't try it.

Nice little village in the middle of three walking distance lochs. Campsite on the shores of one of them. About 2/3 of the available plots are seasonal pitches. Super clean toilets and showers

Nice little site, we went on the loch with our kayak then to the bar for food and drinks which was literally 2 minutes walk right next to us. The bar was very welcoming and clean definitely return thanks

Amazing place, shower and toilets are clean and very nice. Nice little pound where you can find some swans and ducks. Really recommend.
