Great stay , pub was lovely, fantastic beer garden , dog friendly, food was delicious. Parking separate from car park drive into small paddock that as 5 parking bays , lovely views over the country side , we stayed 2 nights , advise to ring before travelling.
great pub stop, stayed for one night on a Saturday. lovely pub inside and lovely staff. we arrived at 8ish (close to final orders for food) had a great meal and some drinks. there's a good dog walking field from the beer garden. would stay again! they like you to book in advance, so give them a call before arriving.
We spent a lovely afternoon and evening here. The owner, Sean(?), and landlord, George, were very friendly and helpful. Friends joined us in the evening and we had a delicious meal. We would absolutely recommend this pub and the peaceful motorhome area, and will stay again when we come back next year. Thanks to all for a lovely stay.
Wonderful little pub with very friendly owners and staff. They were very accommodating to us and we spent 2 nights with our 7.3 m motorhome. They don’t charge to stay and only ask that you have a beer or some food. Well worth it in an area that is impossible to find parking. Highly recommend
Really nice Pub, was not expecting to find a nice pub like this! 100% worth a visit will be visiting again soon. As everyone else said the parking for small campers is at the end of the car park perfect for a stop over night!
Small car park, not ideal for bigger campers/motorhomes. Friendly staff. We didn't stay as too small and they were also closing.
Friendly and welcoming pub with a great atmosphere. The food was really good, especially the belly pork! Stayed overnight on the grass patch at the end of the car park, which is fairly level. Checked in advance and just had to provide vehicle regs to stay the night. Will certainly be coming back again, as it's an ideal spot to them pop into Tavistock or go for a walk on the moors.
Kindly let us stay overnight for free even though they had stopped serving food, drinks were fabulous. Lovely people, lots of space on a grass patch not the most level and the road is very busy & noisy but perfect if passing by and need somewhere.
Nice quiet night parked on the grass next to fields. I emailed ahead to check it was still okay to park overnight as they are closed on Mondays. Landlady was lovely & said we were welcome to stay and even let us know about the pub up the road that was open & allowed campervans.
Einfach super. Nette Leute, Super Essen und ein Tolle Stellplatz.
Stayed last night. Gave very little notice late at night, had a drink in pub. Very helpful and welcoming
We arrived in Plymouth and had a lovely hours drive through the moors to Mary Tavy. Kitchens closed at 8.30pm so we missed dinner, but the Jail Ale served there made up for it! (Eating is cheating! Haha). Free parkup overnight. No electric, pub hours for the loo’s. We were made very welcome and enjoyed a game of pool and a pint or three. Slept like logs. Totally recommended. Cheers!
I rang ahead and booked a table and asked to stay. Worth doing as there isn't much room for more than 2 or 4 vans. Solid pub food, very friendly. loos in the pub and no other facilities. Flat-ish pitch, hedge protects from road noise.
Lovely free overnight stay here in the campervan. New owners from Feb 2021 who were very welcoming with very good freshly cooked food. Left the van there for the day whilst we went off mountain biking.
