(TN3 8EU) The Vineyard

Very nice spot to stay. It’s quiet and the pub and the people are nice. Pretty good food. We stayed 2 nights and visited some gardens and estates in the aria. Just walk in the pub and ask if you can camp on the parking lot. We slept really nice here, no people during the night. Definitely recommend this ( free) spot.

Love this find! The vineyard (disused) car park backs onto the pub car park but doesn’t appear to be owned by them, although I arrived after closing time so can’t verify this. It’s tucked away and quiet. Plenty of space but it was only me and a Dutch motorhome staying. I take my mountain bike to Bedgebury quite regularly and it’s only 10mins down the road from here. Also ideal for a visit to Bewl Water, Scotney Castle or a stop on the way down to Hastings on the A21.

Really good place to stop next to overgrown vineyard. No need to use the pub next door although we did! Car park well used in the evening then all emptied out and was quiet through the night. It was used again in morning from around 7.30 a.m. but still no problem. There was only one other camper with us for the night. No facilities but excellent place to stay anyway...would recommend.

Een rustige plek nadat iedereen de parkeerplaats had verlaten. We hebben een korte wandeling gemaakt door de wijngaard maar dit was niet de moeite waard en niet meer in gebruik, jammer.

This was a good find. Arrived about 1030 and only the odd person/ car leaving the pub. Quiet during the night but after 0700 cars arrived presumably for the vineyard. They were parked on the opposite side and we were left in peace. No problems at all. From here able to visit Bewl water.

Busy at weekends but quiet in the week between 10 and 6 until the nearby small business park starts operating. Excellent pub food and service. Flat hard standing accessible better from the main road via the vineyard entrance for larger vehicles. Good phone and Wi-Fi service.

Had a wonderful night stay, food was lovely, carpark was busy while pub open but get there early and could pick a place to park, and over night only is and one other van, and was good for walking our dog

This was a Lovely pub, great atmosphere. Wonderful place to park up for the night, once the pub closed it was quiet in the overflow car park, which is large and flat! Added bonus is the toilet access is out the back, you don’t need to go into the pub to use.

Easy Spot for a night, be sure to park on the free parking behind the small parking area. We arrived at 3 am in the morning and it was no problem sleeping here (we have a rooftop tent). So we wanted to came back before getting the ferry back to Dover (1:15h away). The food in the Pub was very nice! Fancier Pubfood than usual, still you will also get a tasty fish and chips! Friendly staff!

Lovely pub, great meal and a good place to park up for the night. The overflow car park is large and flat.

Quiet place for an overnight stop with a lovely, dog-friendly pub. Good signal (EE) and a large, level parking area. There is a nice small circular walk through the vineyard which is perfect if you have a dog. Pub also serves takeaway food and pizzas. They ask that you park in the overflow/additional parking section on the right hand side.

A great spot. Obviously it’s a pub and a very nice pub too very popular so expect a bit of noise. I parked in the larger CP. Popped in for a drink, asked for permission to stay. No problem just park on the RHS in the larger CP. I asked if they sold any wines from the vineyard sadly no.

A great place to park, but if you have a big van come in via the Vineyard entrance not the pub entrance which is very narrow even for cars. We let the pub know we were there was not told we had to buy anything but we did have a drink. Car park has cameras

Wir verbrachten hier eine ruhige Nacht. Es war noch ein weiterer Camper da. Das Lokal gleich daneben, top! Es gibt typisches Pub Essen, Burger, Pizza, Steak...! Große Wein und Bierauswahl. Klar, es ist nur ein Übernachtungsplatz, ohne V/E. Aber einen kostenlosen Platz in England zu finden ist Gold wert. Bitte verhaltet euch ruhig, hinterlässt keinen Müll...sonst ist die Duldung bald vorbei!

Gute Ort zum Übernachten und schöne Möglichkeiten zum Wandern. Der Pub ist sehr empfehlenswert. Es gibt keine V/E Möglichkeiten. Wir standen auf dem hinteren, öffentlichen Parkplatz mit Blick in die Weinreben.
