Had an overnight stay. Portaloos on site. Great for a family. we have 3 boys. Football, basketball and tennis courts. Great play park. There's a bit of road noise but we were in with it and slept good. Lovely big green for a kick about or picnic. Loads of parking spaces. Free. Bins and toilet. No water points.
I only stopped briefly because I spotted portaloos so these have been added since first listed. Nice grassy area in park but would be noisy for overnight as very close to busy road.
A lot of road noise so we moved to the free parking area on Castle Road (the other side of the river and a bit more out of town), which had a lovely view of the river, was much quieter, and had woodland walks right on your doorstep.
Ok for a short break. No toilets.
Area fine although no toilets available that I could find and road noise. Playing park if you’ve children. Pub up the road The Cot and Cobble was great food beers etc.
