Beautiful, peaceful spot. There is plenty of space for 10+ motorhomes. The restaurant lets you park overnight for free and you can use their restrooms. Breakfast was also available there and is highly recommended. Our highlight: we got to witness the birth of a llama in the morning – truly unforgettable! All in all, a place we can really recommend.

No obligation to eat there, but you will want to. Great cider, great pizzas and reasonably priced takeaway pizzas (2-for-1 on some days—check their website). I highly recommend this spot to anyone who has a dog, too. Walk past the row of houses and you’re on a 100 mile stretch of canal.

Lovely place. Free to park and sleep over night. The pub is great, the manager and staff are lovely. The beer is good. So are the cocktails. Loads of space for motorhomes to park. Kitchen cooks until 8.00 or 8.30. Strongly recommend.

verbrachten hier eine ruhige Nacht. Kinder und Hunde willkommen. Abendessen war etwas teuer und ok, Frühstück riesen Portion für fairen Preis 13£! Sehr empfehlenswert!

Was a brilliant stay over, had 2 dogs and pub owners was very kind and didn't have a issue. Was 2 other campers that stayed as-well and was a quiet night on a Friday!

This was a great stop, not to far off the motorway with ample parking for motor homes. Staff really friendly and pub extremely nice. free overnight but we bought some food and drinks but no obligation to do so. Big beer garden and dog friendly. We made use of their food take away and took our food back to the van. A quiet night and bonus is seeing the Lamas!

Made to feel extremely welcome after a long drive from UpNorf. Parking is behind the pub away from the road plus it’s adjacent to a field of Lammas. Good food menu that served breakfast from 07:30.

Wir haben den Platz für eine Nacht genutzt und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Man kann einfach so auf dem umzäunten Gelände stehen oder auch etwas essen gehen. Der Platz, als auch das Restaurant ist sehr gepflegt und hundefreundlich.

Great stopover, dinner was nice, Sunday roast looked amazing. The pub garden is crazy spacious and breakfast is spot on. Called ahead and we're forewarned to park in the grass (next to the Llamas). WiFi reaches the grass too. Very quiet overnight. Would recommend booking a table for dinner and breakfast though, it does get busy. Stunning view for a free stopover.

Great place for a stopover. Used the side car park which was lovely and quiet overnight. Great Evening meal and breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Fab outdoor seating area too. Will definitely use it again!!

Lovely peaceful sleep! Arrived late night just as staff were leaving, they were happy for us to stay the night. We enjoyed a very tasty good value breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30. Staff very friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed last night in an 8m MH. Superb setting and friendly staff in the pub, had a nice walk along the canal. Best breakfast ever and so cheap. Lovely wine.

Pulled in late eve to a quote and basically empty grass parking area. Room for 10vans. So quiet all night. Beautiful views and alpacas in the morning!

Fantastic stopover with Lamas in the field next to car park field. Only 3 vans overnight, pub fantastic super breakfast. Highly recommend only 30 min drive off M6. Very peaceful night.

Spent twp nights here. Great place. Free to park, at the rear of the pub carpark, next to the llama field. Nice and quiet with good views. Flat pitches. Great pub serving great food and drinks includingtake away. Fish and chip Friday and two 4 one pizzas Saturday Opens for breakfast at 7:30am. use of toilets. Fantastic staff. highly Recommended

lovely pub, manager was very friendly and helpful when we got stuck in the wet field. Stopped there 2 nights but at the back of the tarmac car park for the second night as the field was very wet. lamas were in the field next to us.

Spent 3 nights here as we were attending the cheese competition at the nearby show-ground. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, food and ale were exceptional and would definitely return in the future.

Easy parking in large field it is a wee bit bumpy and uneven in places however there was plenty of room so able to find flat spot. Staff in pub very friendly. plenty of menu options so should cater for all. Field of Llamas next to parking area makes a great view.

Excellent pub stop over. We called on a Sunday late afternoon, had a nice meal and drinks in a friendly, clean and smart pub. The field/car park is excellent with lovely views of the countryside. Great nights sleep and lovely to see the llamas in the next field along with rabbits while having a brew. The field is next to the beer garden, which was empty by 9.

Great place with really friendly staff and management. food is superb. book in advance as busy with new social distancing measures. waking up and looking out at llama field is amazing. great if you have children. chickens roaming at front too
