you can park up Saturday at 4.00pm and need to be away by 10.00am Monday. great little dog friendly pub just across the road riverside inn well worth a visit

Plenty of free parking after 5 o'cloc next to the town centre have a walk round shops the next day no hassle

AnneRupert30/08/2025Man darf dort von 18:00-8:00 parken, also auch übernachten. Die Toiletten waren sehr schmutzig, kein Wasser, kaum Licht. Morgens war es ab 7:00 sehr laut. Die Stadt Dumfries selber hat uns sehr enttäuscht. Wir hatten Schwierigkeiten ein Restaurant oder Pub zu finden.

Perfect overnight stop. Public toilets very close by and open 24 hrs Very clean We parked facing the beautiful river Nith. A noisy fast flowing river, a lovely thing to fall asleep to. Great little town with lots of shop’s restaurants cafes and pubs. Highly recommended

Great town centre park up. Car park is free for overnight between 1800 and 8am nearest the bridge facing the river. The rest of the time, like most of the car parks, there is a free 3 HR limit but you must display a parking disc which are free and can be obtained from the DG leisure centre where we used the showers. £2.60 at the time of this post

Free overnight at bottom end of carpark. Handy for town centre. We spent a quiet night and enjoyed the food and pubs. Lots of free museums and history in Dumfries. We went to The Old Bridge House, Robert burns Centre and the Castle Dykes sunken garden was worth a visit a short drive away. Lovely paintings and story boards there depicting and telling the story of Robert the Bruce.

Good to use as a free stop over night. we stayed over on a Sunday and the road was still a little busy during the night. shops and restaurants close early around 8pm - just in case you want to eat out. few kids hang about and seems to get used for small car meets update-the carpark is split into 2 side, a 2hour side and a free all day and night side. the visitor center is very nice and helpful
aph7013/09/2019Ok, für eine Nacht, da mitten in der Stadt. . Bis 18 Uhr freies Parken mit Parkscheibe für 2 Stunden. Von 18:00 - 08:00 frei. Wasserfall am Fluss ist recht laut, nachts einige Fahrzeuge mit Jugendlichen. Öffentlich Toiletten 100 Meter entfernt, leider sehr dreckig.
FloBrezhoneg28/08/2017Accès facile même pour de grands camping-cars. Parking de ville avec ses inconvénients, comme la circulation, mais à proximité des commerces. La rivière peut gêner la nuit.
