(KY13) Kinross - Loch Leven Heritage Trail

You now need to pay I think £10 for overnight parking or £4 for all day, was a fair size car park for lots of campers and cars, was fairly quiet overnight fairly busy in day for people showing up to use the loch and go kayaking or paddle boarding, was a lovely view and peaceful walk round the loch i would recommend

Lovely spot to park overnight. Felt safe even with two other campers there. Was very peaceful and I was kindly woken by the birds around 5am! Definitely pay to park here to keep spaces like this. Bins available

This is a lovely area and we are very lucky to be allowed to stay, please leave a donation and leave no trace. For me personally as a light sleeper, I was awake from 4am with the traffic noise on the road and with being under trees there were lots of crows making a racket from early hours (& bird mess on the van haha) so I didn't get much sleep but otherwise its great.

Zona de aparcamiento muy tranquila para pasar la noche junto al lago Leven, resguardado del viento por estar entre los árboles. Estuvimos 3 furgonetas y había mucho más sitio. Muy recomendable!

Cute little parkingspot next to beautiful lake. Overnight stay is allowed, peaceful at night. There's a road closeby, but little traffic.

Loved this spot. 1 min walk to the loch. Can start the walk around the loch from here. Plenty of space to pull up. No heigh restrictions. Very quiet. Only heard dog walkers. Bins. Only downside is there is no toilets. Will come back!

Environnement vraiment top. On entend un peu les voitures passer à vive allure sur la route juste à côté mais sinon nickel. 3 véhicules sur le parking ce soir qui peut accueillir facilement jusqu’à 10 véhicules.

Loved waking up in this woodland park up. There were a few vans and cars parked up for the night but space enough for more without feeling crowded. Minimal traffic noise. Beautiful walk in the morning down to the loch leven.

Prachtige plek! Parkeerplaats tussen de bomen, met afvalbakken. We zijn hier gestopt voor lunch & een wandeling, je mag er overnachten. Electronische donatie mogelijkheid. Het water bevatte nu te veel alg om te zwemmen, wel waren er bootjes op het water. vlakbij golf course.

Magnifique place pour y passer une nuit, quelques bruits de voiture le soir mais très tranquille la nuit. Lac à 5 minutes à pied avec possibilité de se promener !

Great park up. Were several vans here, but as other have said it doesn't feel overcrowded. £ 5 donation for stunning location. Lots of walks directly from car park, which has bins.

Pretty area with excellent walks to the loch. QR code to donate £5. Signs saying one night only. There were 8 other vans, but didn't feel crowded as each has it's own area between trees.

A little busy, even on a Monday but otherwise quiet overnight and level in some of the spots. Slight road noise in the morning. Usable signal on vodafone

Parking près d'un loch où nous avons passé une nuit paisible. Vers 20h le parking était complet.

Nous y avons passé la nuit hier ( un samedi soir) et sommes arrivés à 21h seulement. il y avait encore plusieurs places de libres. Terrain un peu boueux par endroits. Joli spot proche du lac, gratuit ( donation appréciée). Pas de toilettes.

Sehr schöner Parkplatz mit direktem Zugang zu dem See. Super geeignet für Camper, an einigen Stellen allerdings sehr uneben. Als wir da waren, war sehr viel los. Es lohnt sich also früh zu kommen, um sich einen guten Platz zu sichern. Und BITTE an die ausgeschriebenen Regeln halten. (Keine Plätze mit Stühlen und Tischen blockieren!)

Great place to park for one night! It is a general car park, which locals use to park for daily walks and camping at the weekend, so it does get busy. We parked on a Saturday night and were lucky to get a space. Amazing walks around the loch and into Kinross. Very peaceful at night. There are two small general waste bins. We will definitely come back. :)

Nice walks with dogs. Beach nearby, lots of ppl daytime, we arrived just after 2pm, night Quite after 8pm, 8 motorhomes and 4 campervan stayed over night with us, was rainy but no traffic noises, we left early, made 5£ donation via qr code. Definitely recommended.

Located 2 mins walk to loch in wooded area, room for approx 15 vans, quiet night with around 6 other vans, ideal stop over on route to Nc500

Parking de terre battue sous les arbres, pour une dizaine de voitures, légèrement en pente. Promenades magnifiques le long du Loch Leven, dans une réserve naturelle. Les locaux viennent le WE camper au bord du lac les pieds dans l'eau, et le parking est vite plein.

Lovely quiet car park in the woods 100 yards from a small beach. Had a peaceful night under the trees and left a small donation using the QR code.

Buitengebied, lekker rustig, je staat hoofdzakelijk onder de bomen, strandje van meer is op loopafstand, plek voor zo'n 6 tot 8 campers, 's nachts stil, er wordt gevraagd om via een QR code een donatie te doen, er zijn wandelingen.

Toller Stellplatz in einem kleinen Wäldchen direkt am See. Dort gibt es einen kleinen Sandstrand. Bei schönem Wetter perfekt zum Entspannen.

Emplacement plat, proche d’un lac mignon avec balade aménagée. Très calme, réveillées le matin par les animaux (corbeaux, moutons…). Il y a par contre pas mal de monde.

Really quiet. We got at the site late, there were only 4 other vans there. Parking is under trees, it was raining heavily and the noise was very soothing. Would recommend. Great nights sleep

Perfect spot to rest up for the night. Lovely walk down to lake, protected from elements popular spot. If full I would suggest hanging on as cars came a go alot woth dog walkers.

We did not stop on this occasion as we stayed in the car park for Loch Leven larder but looked like a great spot. Very busy with walkers during the day so my recommendation would be to come late. We drove past in the morning and there were around 5 motorhomes parked up.

We loved this location . Beautiful location with a nice little walk down to the lock and my daughter loved the egg trail where you had to guess which bird / fish the eggs belonged too. Very quiet so we got a peaceful night sleep. There were a few birds that got noisy early morning but we did park directly under their tree. Would park here again, beautiful spot.

Perfect late night stop over before we headed our way home back to South England. We arrived about 8:30pm and there were about 5 other vehicles. Quite muddy but there had been some rain the previous day. Quiet area, can’t comment on what was there as we arrived in the dark and left in the dark. Bins are around the area and the area was flat enough for our VW camper

Excellent stop over for our long trip north. Nearby Kinross has plenty of amenities. Arrived here during a storm and in the dark, some bits were quite muddy, to be expected really. Overnight was quiet, you could hear owls and from about 6am weekday the odd car passed. I'd guess it's a busy spot in summer, if you arrive after 5 or 6pm, then day visitors would likely have left leaving more spaces.

Lovely peaceful spot. Few dog walkers and runners. Had a lovely walk upto the loch and around it. Don’t miss the leven larder up the road. Made a donation

Arrived in winter afternoon darkness after stopping at Sainsbury by motorway junction. Car park was empty except one other van. Some minor car movement during evening and the odd sound of passing traffic, but very quiet overall. One loser hung on their horn when passing in the morning, but this was just before 08:00 …so we’d had Sunday morning cuddles and 2 coffees by then!

Busy spot, but a few spaces available, there is a 1 night limit stay and a donation can be made via the information given. Fantastic long walk around the Loch. Kinross has a fabulous coffee shop "Unorthodox Brewers" which is 40 minute walk away.

Great access to the loch, less than a one minute walk. Signs saying it’s fine to stay overnight for one night.

Beautifull place to stay under the tree’s. Just behind the lake and walkingtrail.

Schöner Platz, ruhig und mit ausdrücklicher Erlaubnis zum ein-nächtigen Camping. Abends waren ein paar Leute mit den Hunden da, also ganz ungestört ist man nicht. Wenn man aber nach dem Platz schaut und etwas Ordnung hält, sind alle sehr nett!

Entgegen der Beschreibung ist das Übernachten für eine Nacht hier ausdrücklich erlaubt, so lange Rücksicht genommen wird und keine Spuren hinterlassen werden. Spende via QR Code möglich. Sehr toller Platz für den Tag und die Nacht, sauber und direkt am See. Schwimmen, Wandern,Radfahren, unter den Bäumen chillen.. alles möglich. 4G mit Vodafone sehr gut

Lovely place to stay, just a small path to the loch. It’s a lovely place. Wasn’t over crowded but would just bare in mind there are a lot of nesting crows so picking a spot between the trees or away from, may be the prime space. Really lovely would return !

Pas de vue sur le lac, route très passante (à vive allure) et beaucoup de camping car à cette période : résultat les locaux qui viennent se balader autour du lac ne peuvent pas se garer… Bref, coin qui ne mérite pas selon moi les notes attribuées par les commentaires précédents !

Great place to park, easy access to the loch but atm they’re advertising blue green algae so unable to use the water. Very quiet and well worth the park up.

Nice spot to park! Under the trees, not much noise, road was quiet. Lovely walks from the car park too. Overall a lovely place to stop at.

Le parking était complet, beaucoup de campeurs sur la plage, un peu d’animation mais qui ne nous a pas dérangé. Route peu passante juste derrière. Très bel endroit, que j’éviterai le week-end.

Ein schöner und ruhiger Parkplatz. Relativ uneben und man muss an ein paar Stellen mit der Höhe aufpassen. Unmittelbar eines Sees. Viele Tagestouristen aber insgesamt ruhig.

One of the nicest park ups you’ll find. Gets busy in the day. Spaces aren’t huge so not suitable for Motorhomes over 7m. Small bins so take rubbish with you.

Schöne Parkbuchten für mehrere Camper mit gutem Abstand, viel besser als auf manchen Campingplätzen. Der See ist leider nicht in Sichtweite, aber nur ein paar Meter entfernt. Es gibt Mülleimer, was in Schottland nicht selbstverständlich ist. Negativ ist leider die angrenzende Straße, da alle paar Minuten ein Auto schnell vorbeifährt.

Sehr schöner, im Wald gelegener Parkplatz, nur wenige Schritte vom See entfernt. Tagsüber wird der Parkplatz von vielen Spaziergängern, Läufern und Radfahrern genutzt. Der See lädt zum spazieren gehen oder laufen ein. Leider waren zu unserem Zeitpunkt sehr viele Mückenschwärme unterwegs.

Quite nice. Though a lot of mosquitoes and blue Alge in the lake. Lot of dog walkers
